Fuzzy: Midmarch -  Regional Development – 4716

Following the success of our previous expansions, I have decided to drive a road all the way to The Wyvern Bridge.

[Hex1] As Viscount Midmarch, I shall build a new village to defend the road and the rest of that region, known as West Midmarch  (New Village in Hex1).  My initial investment will be to build a Fort to defend the roars, However, I am open to external offers of development, in this completely undeveloped new village, should you wish to build here.

[Wyvern Bridge] I have agreed that my cousin,  Pemar deleMaistre, and his new wife, Mia Ventus-Maistre, will be tasked with managing our new settlement at Wyvern Bridge.  The leMaistre family, along with their commercial  and religious interests will provide funding for the initial settlement, after that Wyvern Bridge will be financially independent, and all negotiations are to take place with Pemar and Mia.  The new village will have a Fortified Villa, a Pharasmin Graveyard, while DELEM will provide both a Serai and a shop.  Other supportive developments would be most welcome.

Oston: Svetlana has asked me to tell you that Oston is full.  Svetlana and Oleg intend to restrict the growth of the town, so that it functions as a Market Town for the area.  However, they do intend to allow the development of farms and agricultural businesses in the hinterland.

Outpost:  You may be aware that there was some unrest, based around West Farm, at Outpost.  However,  intensive support (from across the board) has led to the development of a Shrine dedicated to Erastil, a new mill and a new tavern (The Dragonette) in the village itself.  There is still room to develop in the hamlets.

Junction: This small village is ripe for development - on the road from Oston to Tusk it boasts a Watchtower and a Local Market.  There is certainly room for a commercial development, a religious development and in the hamlet.

Bar-Z: A very small development, open to all sorts of investment.  A Great Shrine dedicated to Erastil has helped to establish this as a route towards the west, but there is stillscope for development.  Zorah's horse breeding ranch is (a Hamlet) is in the hinterlands.

Kunlun: This small town is dedicated to the gods.  Developments from religious organisations are always welcome.  So far Abadar, Pharasma, Iomedae and Acavna are represented.

Narlemarch: The Northern Narlmarch Nature Reserve, Tatzleford and Old Keep (by Zelona’s request) are open for nature-oriented developments.  However, you should note that none of these represent a good return on investment.

There is also scope for developers to take over different parcels of land to develop their own estates - as part of Midmarch.

I would be interested to hear of any interest in developing in any of these settlements.

I can report that Fiddler,  Priest of Erastil from Oston, has followed through on his proposals from last year, and will upgrade the shrine at Outpost’s West Farm to a great shrine and then build another great shrine at Kunlun.

Mother Beatrix, leader of Pharasma's Abbey in  Tusk, has proposed a Chantry for Kunlun, tasked with remembering the great and good of the Southern Region.

OOC:
Outpost (West Farm) upgrade to a Gt Shrine of Erastil.  (+1 stab)
Kunlun  Gt Shrine to Erastil (+1 stab, +1 Loy)
Kunlun  Gt Shrine to Pharasma(+1 stab, +1 Loy)

"More news on Kunlun.  Brother Fiddler had asked to build a Great Shrine dedicated to Ersatil, while Abbess Beatrix wishes to build a Chantry Shrine dedicated to Pharasma.

As both are established faiths of the Southern Region, I have  granted permission to both."

"The church of Abadar would like to upgrade our existing Great Shrine at Kunlun to a Holy House. That will allow us to provide accommodation for a small group of our clergymen, to maintain a permanent presence at Kunlun as we feel that the number of visitors to the site have increased sufficiently to warrant that investment now."

OOC: Existing Great Shrine (1BP, Loy 1, Stab 1) to be upgraded to Holy House (2BP, Special 1, Loy 1, Stab 1): net changes are +1 Special (net cost 1BP)
