Fuzzy:  The Midmarch Council

This thread allows Henry to 'Take Advice' from important people about  decisions that affect Midmarch as a whole.  This is an In Character thread.

Once back in Midmarch, Henry calls you all together for a meeting.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I have declared that I will take advice in the running of Midmarch from a council composed of those I trust.  Today I declare that all of you are members of the council.  While our basic laws are decided for us, we have some freedom in the way we run our land.  I was approached by a merchant in Restov, with a request that we declare slavery to be illegal in Midmarch.

What do you say?"

Every PC and Secondary PC is a member of the council and entitled to voice an opinion.  However, Henry makes the final decision.

Andalon didn't need to think about that suggestion and responded swiftly.

"You have my full support for that proposition. I would be happy to see slavery abolished everywhere."

Lex quickly chimed in, "Slavery and indentured servitude are the means of great oppression to the poor. Abolishing both could make Midmarch a destination for those looking to make a home for themselves. I think it would be a strong statement."

He paused and then added, "It would also speak volumes to those who fought for the Stag Lord. That was a slavery of it's own sort..."
