Rikka and Tib  had lead a group of the refugees from Drowned Trees down  towards The Stag Lord’s Fort to  supplement the forces left behind.  And they had managed to pick up a couple of groups of settlers on the way.  Rook, Percy and Zorah had taken care of the undead creatures living in the hillside, before they left.

So Rikka and Tib turned their attention to the area surrounding the Fort’s Mound – and discovered that it had been built on previously -  making it easy to clear for new developments.  All together they found three  separate areas -  one down by the lake, one immediately around the fort’s mound and a third to one side.  Making Three areas cleared for city development immediately.
When  Henry arrives he brings a few soldier and more settlers with him.  The soldiers settle in to support the garrison, and some of the settlers join the crews clearing rocks from the new city districts and carrying them up the fill to the fort, then building huts and seeking casual work building, hauling or even just cleaning up after the horses.  The start of Tusk Town as it is to be known, and ready to help build and run businesses and services any new town needs.

Many others find somewhere out in the countryside, within a few miles of the keep -  close enough so that they come under the protection of the guard – but far enough away that they aren't under the thumb of the guard.  Small holdings, market gardens and fishing hamlets start to appear.

Once he has settled in, and seen how the settlers are working together, Henry calls Pipre over.  "Pipre, There is a small group of young men and women who are causing a disruption among the workers.  They are flirting with all the men, and quite a lot of the women and dress very in appropriately for the work they are doing. Nor are they much good at it.  Apparently they came from some sort of  entertainment establishment in Drowned Trees. Can you see if you can find some more appropriate work for them, before our settler families start to be affected. I hope your deeper understanding of life in this sort of area might help make some sort of connection  with them."

Pipre nods along, listening. It is too bad she hasn't seen much of this herself, it would be quite entertaining to watch, from the sounds of it. "Yes, I see what you mean. I will get them together while construction of the Bottled Nymph is underway, get them trained up and disciplined. Do you mind if I take Big Job, as well? We should have plenty of woodsmen and the like by now and he did show interest in working security for me."

Henry's eyebrows raise slightly and Bai barely contains a chuckle behind her hand, as Pipre names her business the Bottled Nymph, "Please do.  If anyone can keep them in order, it will be a large half-orc with a glaringly visible brand-scar on his arm.  Anything to get them off of the streets ..."

After the river journey up to Ringbridge and back, Andalon went back to where Brother Florin was left in charge of building their Chapel of Abadar. After checking on progress and any other news from the last 3 days while he was away, Andalon showed Florin the map of the Kamelands (see the Game Map for Group M) that had previously been found when the Stag Lord was defeated. He told Florin all he knew about the unknown gnomish priestess whose gear had included that map, then he and Florin made another copy of the map for Florin to investigate further.

"I want you to try to find out anything anyone here might know about the trail running northwards through the Kamelands crossing the Shrike River at the bridge near Ringbridge, anything about the 4 small 'x' marks along that trail, anything about the 4 larger X's around the Kamelands, or any clue what that boat symbol designates at that fork of the East Sellen River southeast of the Tuskwater. Don't show this map around, though. Perhaps you should make another copy without those big and small X marks and the boat symbol. You can ask people for any information about the Kamelands in general and guide the conversation towards those particular locations if someone seems familiar with those areas."

"White silk and roses growing from rocks?  Hmmm ....  Milani, perhaps."  Florin nods and settles down to copy the map out.

OOC:

At the time  you found the map, Pipre suggested that the boat at the bottom might be the 'Chain Ferry' run by Gnomes and Halflings.  She also commented "I think I know where that lower, left-hand X is. There is a nasty mud patch there whence rattlecap mushrooms can be got."

and from the 'Loot' thread ...  Inside there are spare clothes for a female Halfling and a tightly rolled up length of white silk, decorated with red roses growing from a pile of rocks.

"A halfling cleric of Milani, rather than a gnome? Yes, I suppose it could have been. They would be the same size, after all." Andalon murmured thoughtfully.

Andalon will pass on Pipre's information about the 'Chain Ferry' and mud patch and rattlecap mushrooms, asking Florin to find out a bit more about them if he can. As Andalon doesn't know anything about those mushrooms he asks Florin to find out what they can be used for and who would want them.
