An acolyte who was practicing a block to slash form movements, breasks off from his practice and bows politely, before he runs lightly across to the building.

A few minutes later, Borric appears, a slight frown on his brow and a large book in his hand, with a number of large leather bookmarks hanging out of it.  he squints slight as he comes into the sunlight, but can still see clarley enough to make out that Kendric his one of his brethern.  "Welcome to the house, brother.  How can I help you?"

In reply to _Borric d'Cordain (msg # 3):

A large half-orc woman worked in the background, sweeping the floor, she smiled at the two, nodding in acknowledgement as the two spoke.

"Are you Borric d'Cordain?" Kendric inquired before he introduced himself. "I've just arrived in Tusk Town. Seems to have potential out here in the Greenbelt."

"As I passed through Ringbridge, Lt Lincoln asked several us to help in a matter involving a werewolf. We managed to kill the creature and learned that he was once lived in that small town. He carried a battleaxe and a silver dagger. I found it interesting that he possessed a silver dagger. I'm worried that there may be others that are afflicted."

"So you must be Winters?  Lincoln sent word via one of the trading boats. However, Cyrus has decided to stay home in Ringbridge for the foreseeable future, along with his squire Zauria.  And I am sure that Valoria has been using her own special abilities to  keep an eye out for others that might be afflicted.  However, have you also considered the possibility that the lycanthrope might have taken the dagger from someone who fought back unsuccessfully?

Waving Mariam over, he introduce the pair.  "Mariam, this is Kendick.  And Kendrick, this is Mariam, co-leader of this house.  We are going to follow her plan to add a library to the house soon.  It will go a small way to improving the learning of a few of the local population."

"Ahh, yes." Kendrick said when he was introduced to Miriam. "Your name was mentioned when I passed through New Stetven." He took a few seconds to consider Borric's words. "I suppose you're right. There was a death the previous night. And I'm glad that Cyrus will be staying in Ringbridge." He didn't know the proper honorific for several of the names that were being mentioned.

Kendrick gave a thoughtful nod, "A library would be a boon to Tusk Town. What other plans do you have for the House in the future. Perhaps a sword school and barracks?"

The Sword School is next on the list. Borric agrees "But we haven't yet looked beyond that."

In reply to Kendrick Winters (msg # 7):

Mariam bared her tusks in a smile, the one on the left slightly cracked. Putting her broom away she joined the men. "aye a school is a good plan. As well as a hospice. The lady of light is a merciful one and the more we help the brighter her light shines." she wiped the sweat from her brow, and offered her other hand to the new comer. Welcome to our temple.

Domitius took the opportunity to drop in to the Iomedae House to pay his respects and offer his services.  He waited respectfully at the entrance to be invited in by one of the acolytes.  "Domitius Solanus, I am here to offer the lady my services as a swordsman and engineer.  If the masters of the house are in I would speak with them."

"Welcome Domitius" Borric nods a greeting, before going on to introduce himself, Mariam and Kendrick to the newcomer.  "Mariam and I serve as leaders of this house, so you have found the right people already."

Kendrick gave Domitius a nod of greeting. "Please join us. I didn't know that you are a follower of our mistress. It is good to know that she guides your sword."

He turned to Borric and Mariam, "I've spoken to the council about my venture to bring a general store to Tusk Town. But if you ever need my help, please let me know."

Returning the nod "Thank you Kendric, I look forward to testing myself against your blade soon.  Perhaps the sparring pit?" Domitius said with a smile.

"I have just arrived in town and wanted to meet you all before the next festival.  I come fresh from the Restov Guards where I held an Ensign's rank and am looking for a position here in Tusk town if there was one available."
He asked the two leaders of the house.

Borric nods at Domitius continues with his introduction.

"Henry always has a need for people to map the area and clear it of monsters and bandits - or at the very least bring them to heel.  Mariam here, is supports Henry like that.  I  have a more mundane role, helping to keep the home front safe.    If you have been with the Guard, he will certainly find a way to put your skills to good use.  Probably in the same sort of way as Mariam here.

"I had heard that you have plans for establishing a sword school attached to the House, is this true as I would be interested in continuing my training?" Domitius asked.

"The school will concentrate on fairly basic skills ..."  Borric replies, " ... mainly suitable for militia troops and young priests who want to go into a military career as forces chaplains, although you will be welcome to join us.  However, I have heard, on the grapevine  that Adoven, from V&A shipping, is interested in building a more sophisticated sword school that looks more at duelling techniques and a wider range or weaponry."

"Now that is interesting,  I'm hoping to raise a military force, possibly for mercenary work in the River Kingdoms and supporting the Swordlords if necessary.  I was thinking of striking out near the southern border and setting up a fortress."
He pauses and scratches his chin. "I would be looking for chaplains and Iomedeans would be my first preferance.  I will also speak with Adoven about training in the more advanced techniques."

"Thank you Kendric." Borric belatedly acknowledges  Kendrick's offer of support, "I hope the council the council looks on your proposals favourably.  And, Domitius, good luck with your plans as well."

Mariam offered her hands to the both of the visitors "It is a pleasure to meet fellow followers of the inheritor. Please, join us for supper tonight."

"I would be delighted too, if you don't mind I will have a few questions for you after the meal.  Mostly about the local area, while I have heard a few things k in Restov it pays to ask the locals."  Domitius replied with a smile.

Borric waits for Domitius's questions.

Domitius grabbed the area map he had in his pack and rolled it out for the group to see.  "First question I guess is is this map accurate as best you can tell." He points out the location of Tusk town "We are here correct can you show me as best you can what land has been claimed and explored as best you know."

"Well, I saw henry's latest map the other day,"  Borric muses as he starts pointing to locations on Domitius's map.

"Interesting,  this southern lake the Candelmere do we know anything about it?" Domitius asked pointing at the map.  "It looks like a good spot to guard the southern borders."

"We haven't been there yet ..." Borric replies.

She nodded "This is a rough land, keep your eye out and be careful and you'll do fine. I just recently came back from an adventure up in thr hills. We saw something called a roc. An incredible bird so big it might even give younger dragons a run for their money." Mariah's dark eyes glistened in wonder. "it was something else. Could you imagine riding on a creature like that?"

"Riding a roc?" Kendrick wondered aloud. "I'd like to see some train horsemen in these lands. Suppose I'll have to start by getting myself trained in proper horsemanship, but afterward, it would be great to have mounted patrols."
