Re: OOC2

Like Domitius, I am enduring the heat of summer where I live. I was going to say it has never snowed here but apparently it did once, in the hill suburbs east of the city, in October 1968.

Years ago we went to England on holiday and visited relatives in a village in Lincolnshire at Christmas. My two kids and I had great fun making a snowman for the first time in our lives. Ironically, people in the village told us they had never seen anyone ever make one in the village before.  LOL!

Re: OOC2

Last year we had one snow fall of 24 inches. Pretty unusual, but happens. This year so far not too much, the last storm brought us only 3 or 4 and was followed by rain. We are all covered in ice now.

Re: OOC2

Go away, ice.  Go away snow.  We have too much of both of them here, and it is just so annoying to wake up and have the power be out, again and again.

I have often been tempted to introduce a red-back crocodile that lurks in garderobes.

As long as you don't unleash something like a red-crested gazebo on us, we'll be just fine, I think.

Hmm.    Or, a giant, mutant jellyfish with the offending team's logo tattooed on it.    Let's just take it all the way, here...

I'll take your word for that.

I'm not familiar, but Cronulla sounds like it could be the name of a soul eating demon god.

Worse its in the Shire, rumours of hairy footed denizens may or may not be true.

And I think Marceline is thinking Rugby League not Rugby at all, could be worse though at least they aren't AFL supporters.

Re: OOC2

We went from no rain to overwhelming rain, snow, and ice. Plagued by power outages a d road closures... It has been insane. So insane I had no time between one storm and the next before leaving town. Im heading back home now (to more rain and snow) and will catch up. This has been an unusual weather year for us... Im happy for the rain, mind you, especially with the drought, but it woukd have been nice to have it more spread out.... But beggars cant be choosers I suppose. :D Sincerest apologies for any delays on my part, it really couldnt be avoided this time.

Re: OOC2

Did our group come to a halt?     Stas & Kiera's posts sort of imply that, but in looking I don't specifically see it said.

If we didn't, then I would stay mounted, of course.

Re Oz --  so there is a whole group of you?       By coincidence, or conspiracy?  ;)

Like many Americans, Oz is on my "go see one day" list.    Not w/o scroll of protection from crazed rugby fans.     I won't act or dress like a generic american tourist.  I promise.

RPoL is owned and managed from Australia (all power to Jase's Elbow if anyone is listening and reporting back [: ) - so those Aussies are on 'home territory' so to speak.  :)

Did not know, that's kind of cool actually.    Rpol feels more like a cultural experience, now!
