Where are the civil buildings located?
Did not find it on the quick links (unless I'm blind which my wife says from time to time as I stare into the frig)

Further up the page under Stronghold developments.  However, if you make an indication that you will support a civic building, Cyrus and Valoria will  use your donation to help fund one of their projects -  which allows them to plan more easily :)

John is a busy bee.

For the road house/grand hotel venture, I thought it might be called the Mithral.

And should anyone care to join Cass in his business ventures, I thought he might call the company The Refinement Group.

Yes, I remember seeing it too. I looked but couldn't find it either. Hence Andalon's pause and uncertain frown. Hang on, is this it? :

Location:  Restov - Temple of Abadar:
Later, everyone receives a hand written letter, addressed personally to requesting that you  attend on Henry in the Small Chamber at the temple Temple of Abadar.

”I have now received my patent from the Lord Mayor, So I have been formally elevated to the rank of Lord Dominus within the peerage of Brevoy.  With the title I was also appointed as Governor of the Midmarch, and area defined as the land south of Brevoy from the eastern shores of Lake Hooktongue and the East Sellen River to the  Tors of Levenies.  It is a huge area.” he says with a broad smile on his face.  ”I have also been charged with making it safe and colonising the area, and thus protecting the Southern Borders of Brevoy,.  Within the laws of Brevoy, I have been given authority to govern that area as I see fit to ensure my duty is properly discharged.”  He pauses for a moment to let that sink in.

”I have also been granted permission to form a chapter of the Brevic Knights in Midmarch, and Sir Ferdinand has kindly agreed to act as Chapter Commander until we are established. I would like to appoint you all as Officers of the Order.

Brother Bart has your Letters of Investiture,”  he indicates the good brother sitting at the main table, ”And brother Pariston, of the church or Abadar will witness your signature on the Articles of Investiture.  The Founding Charter, which legitimises the Chapter, is on the second table.” he continues pointing to a second table up against the wall.  ”It is the best I can do for you.  For the moment.”

If you should read the Charter, it founds The Midmarch Chapter of the Brevic Knights  under the authority of Chapter Commander, Sir Ferdinand Ledkno and is authorised (on behalf of the king) by the Lord Mayor of Restov.  The Charter binds the members of the Chapter to uphold the law and defend the kingdom.

Re: OOC2

An interesting pickle... Henry's appointment is from the crown of Brevoy and he's called to uphold the laws of the nation within his area of governance, as are all of the original adventurers by becoming Officers of the Brevic Knights.

From the perspective of LAW - those character's and Henry should probably be ordering or working to arrest Duma and his crew, and take the bag of wealth as confiscation of stolen goods. Otherwise Midmarch and Henry might have political issues.

I don't know what Henry's inclination to law is, but I know he's inclined to second chances and such... hence the pickle.

I'm interested to see which way the different points influence his official response to Duma.

Re: OOC2

Thnak you.  That is not the actual charter but a description of the charter  :)  Which is close enough.

I am sure I posted a copy of the actual Charter somewhere - BUT  this gives me an answer to Andalon's question, and matches up with my memory of things (from years ago) so that is cool.

Andalon's Post:

<big snip>

Zelona - words, contracts and charters can be made to mean all sorts of things  :)

Re: OOC2

So if Henry were to give Duma's people a gubernatorial pardon after they were sworn in as officers of the Brevic Knights, they would have sworn to uphold the laws and defend the kingdom. That should cover the bases.

No diplomatic incident, as Duma himself is not moving to Midmarch. And a newfound ally is forged.

I have been working on the Midmarch Page of the wiki  http://rp.baileymail.net/doku...._land:midmarch:start  and I am just waiting for Tusk to conclude their negotiations before I close this Kingdom Round off.

Apart from   Tusk -  you might all want to check out that I have recorded your investments properly in the descriptions.  Marik & Safiya -  You can design a symbol / flag / coat of arms -  for you and your settlements, if you would like.  Or if you give me a description of something simple -  I'll do it for you :)
