Re: OOC2

Ok, for the slow witted, is that 1 kingdom turn and 3 downtime turns per calendar year?

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Holidays! Best wishes for all of you! Thanks for helping to bring me the joy of gaming for another year.

It is a work in progress :)

I think things are currently set up like that.  When I finish the rules (I suspect) it will come out as One campaign rounds (with extra down time)

Have a good Solstice, Christmas, New Year and whatever other holidays you celebrate.

Merry  Xmas and a Happy New Year -  and if you celebrate any other holidays at this time of year, may they be good ones as well.

Re: OOC2

Just a thought for  you guys :)

Fuzzy threads, such as Winterfest and the Dragons Den are there (in part) to let characters from different groups meet up, chat and (perhaps) form some sort of posting partnership.

Think of them as a night out in  the local pub/bar/club where you have the chance to meet new people  :)

They are also a good way to get XP  :)  Under the new system I give out RP xp in chunks.  There will certainly be some XP for every character who makes an appearance.  More when characters get into a conversation that I don't have to be involved in  :)

Re: OOC2

1 Real Life Year = 2 Game years :)

December and June Campaign Turns mark the in-game year changes - that is when your entourage-assistants will go up a level and when your PC gets a year older ...

When characters all went up a level at the same time, it was easy to just have the Kingdom Turn them -  but now I need to be a bit more structured.   I have already set up reminders in my calender -  without that I would be lost.

Re: OOC2

Does that mean 1 Campaign Turn every 2 game years (1RL year)?

Re: OOC2

No.

December/January -  Campaign Turn (which marks the end of an In-game year.  There will be a kingdom building round, Entourage assistants go up and there will be a 25 day Downtime Turn.
March - 25 day Downtime Turn - that marks half a game year.
June - Campaign Turn (which marks the end of an In-game year.  there will be a kingdom building round, Entourage assistants go up and there will be a 25 day Downtime Turn.
September - 25 day Downtime Turn - that marks half a game year.
December -  Campaign Turn (which marks the end of an In-game year.  There will be a kingdom building round, Entourage assistants go up and there will be a 25 day Downtime Turn.

and so on.

Good  :)

So much Fuzzy Time means I need to put a bit of structure around things -  or else I will get terribly confused.  It is bad enough as it is .....

Cass - NP

Kendrick -  I have planned a couple of Fuzzy Threads for after the Campaign Turn.

One being a boat trip South - courtesy of V&A Shipping, the other being a trip to Restov -  as a number of people have expressed an interest  :)

Re: OOC2

I have been working through the game trying to work out when  characters joined the game.   A number of characters moved on, when their Players left the game and I haven't tried to track those.  Others have taken various NPC roles ...  I think we have the following 'rough' time groups.

  1. Andalon, Percy, Pipre, Cyrus, Vik, Val, Aris’ta, Zorah, Bai, Tib, Rikka, Rook
  2. Mariam, Cass, Marik, Adoven, Lex, Tansy, Borric  (Mia)
  3. Safiya, Kendrick, Fiddler, Quentin – Marceline – El, Quinn, Ethankos, Ron
  4. Dom, Zelona, Rose
  5. Kiera, Stas, Alisa, Gwair, Dara

Anyone I have missed?  Anyone in the wrong group?

Domitius needs to head home and wants to introduce Alisa to his family...

Kendrick would be more than welcome to come and meet them as well.

...I honestly don't know what I'd have Kiera end up doing beyond her first night or so back.  As far as things to do during her downtime, well... I have a few ideas, but at the same time, I'm still not sure what she's doing.

I'll have to think some more.

Re: OOC2

I think Borric was in group 1 ?

We also had:

  • Moto Trema in group 1 but he left Oleg's Outpost after battle with Bandits, and was reported as having been killed by wolves and being buried near the Outpost
  • Gehron in group 3, though he was killed by a Cyclops and is buried in Ringbridge

... so they're probably in the 'not being tracked' category.

Re: OOC2

Percy -   Moto and Gerhon are not being tracked - although Moto has a magnificent Grave out at Oleg's.   Borric was in group 1 - and I thought I had put him there.  I will correct that now  :)

Kiera - no hassle - Just about anything is fair game.  I loved one of Pipre's very early posts.  It described her waking up after a hangover, and the subsequent posts saw her start a new job and deal with a bunch of strangers while suffering  :)

I foresee a pub, run by the Mayor of Tusk - with a shrine dedicated to Caiden Caliean (or however you spell it) and a duelling ring in the basement.
