Just minor kick-starter posts -  that give you something to respond to, if you want.

Re: OOC2

Back from Vacation - While I was away one of my colleagues left for a new job, so I am now covering his responsibilities.  His assistant has broken her foot and will be off work for 8 weeks ...  So I am triple-hatting at work!

Just to make it worse, I only have a general knowledge of their work, and three-quarters of the traditional return-to-work pile comes from their area ...

*grin*  Sort of half and half  :)

You can discuss classes, uses of items etc OOC - although some prefer to stay more IC.

TBH, I don't mind how you do it, so long as you can come to a position you all agree on.

I have started working on the lists of Midmarch people :)

http://rp.baileymail.net/doku....hpeople:start#people

It won't be completed until after the Kingdom turn and everyone is ready to go Adventuring again :)  But this is your chance to tell me if I have missed anything out or got anything wrong.  It is also your chance to give me a short line of text to describe your character, or more detailed text to add as a 'personal' page.  I am also happy to look at proposed coats of arms :)  But I may well ask you to modify, to keep things in line with everything else that has gone before.  This includes the newest people, who are expecting to be an integral part of the game soon   :)

Everyone is assumed to be based in Tusk unless you tell me differently, or there is a clear reason for some other location.

-----

I am also going to be working on this thread again soon.

For those who haven't come across it before, it is where I track your personal (Player and Character)  wants for the game.  I pretty much put in  a synopsis of what you tell me your character wants.  For those characters with an entry -  check and send me any updates.  If you don't have an entry already - feel free to send me one (if you want).

I don't promise to use all the hooks that you give me *Evil Grin*  -  But if they are noted in this thread, I  might see them at an appropriate time.

I am away on a course next week, and only discovered today that there is really limited internet.  Assuming I can get a signal, I will be able to get online via my phone - but that will be limited.

I  will get to as many threads / PMs as I can before I leave on Sunday afternoon.

What are the limits of the building beans again? I assume that we can't use 1 bean to build a castle in Tusk Town.

Do you have any left?  I'll go check what I said :)

Off the top of my head, I think that  one bean gave a 0.5bp discount against building costs.  But only one bean could be used per building.

BTW, Henry would love it if you paid to upgrade his keep to a castle ....

AHHH

quote:
They have 10 magical beans that each save half a BP off the cost of a construction project and they have offered to donate them to the Town if we give them approval to build their inn/hotel.

quote:
as for Building beans - I might not have expressed myself well.  A single bean per building ....

quote:
"We could actually use the beans to subsidise a lot of individual buildings (eg. the Roths' inn, monastic house, library, orphanage, Abadar's temple, V&A's merchant house and warehouse, Kendrick's shop, etc.) on condition that the owners donate the saved 0.5bp each towards the city wall. The 1bp for a district wall might be better spent as a contribution to that city wall. Putting it all together we can probably turn say 8 of those beans plus 1bp for the district wall into the 5bp needed to build the wall around 3 districts straight away. (And still have 2 beans left for next time.)

You have two beans left  :) each can reduce the cost of a building by 0.5 bp - but only one bean per building.

Never a great deal of snow here -    and a pretty odd winter.  Usual cold, but mixed with some warm, spring like days you don't usually get in this month.

We've had too much snow here.  Had a week of being stuck inside back in January because of snow/ice/windchills and had another ice storm today.  I'm quite ready for spring, yes.

Sounds like the area I live in. There can be 6 inches of snow, 15 miles away -  but we are nearly always clear..  Geography is a marvelous thing!

I had an Aussie friend visit during the winter, a few years ago.  When it snowed  we had to drive 15 miles before it was deep enough for her to play in  :)
