Re: OOC:

How do we know what items are considered major or minor.

Picking one item would be easy if we had an idea what they are

So would I be correct in thinking the stone I'm carrying is not considered my item
and the wand of cure moderate would be party treasure so I still have my pick of major item or 2 minor items coming.

Re: OOC:

In reply to Jonathan (msg # 940):

No the stone doesn't count. It is a plot item if you left it Yacob would pick it up. No matter what it won't be staying here.  Most everything will likely be a minor item except the ones that have moderate auras I would imagine. I can identify some 4 spells of identify left as far as components go. Now exactly how many items that would allow me to accurately identify is up to Ao. Most likely 4.

Re: OOC:

The stone isn't part of your treasure.

Sonori has detected magic and focused on all items (except those upstairs with you guys). Most items have same enchantment (+1 or the few+2). There are a few misc items (weapons, rings, wondrous items) that I consider major item she in this stash, but they won't be realised until you know what they are

The wand you can have, so a major or two minor.

Spells to identify are one per item.

.....but gas anyone thought of a wand that may help?

Re: OOC:

A wand of identify could be quite useful in a situation like this, indeed... :)

But that's not a cleric spell, so I don't see Sonori thinking of it

Re: OOC:

Other great wands to take, from a player perspective, would be any that are for spells that usually require a substantial material component or experience. But Sonori would be looking for keeping the party in good shape use rather than maximizing value perspective.

Is there a wand of Arcane Eye? Much more useful than identify.

Or a Wand of Mass Conviction?

Wand of Lesser Restoration is mighty helpful too.

Re: OOC:

Do you mean Arcane Sight or Analyze Dweomer? Those are more related to being able to make sense of what is in this room. I mean, Arcane Eye is also useful, but that's an entirely different "flavor".

Re: OOC:

I'm hoping a party member will help Nino out with some of the treasure, even though he's probably got the most powerful one stuck to his arm.

A new Chainshirt would be nice, as well as a ring. Protection would help him with saves, if he needed to make any. Nino was looking for money and doesn't even realize that items are worth anything.

He originally looked for his Decanter of endless beer, but didn't find that.

It is a little surprising that there isn't a Decanter of Endless Beer in this sort of world...

In reply to Nym Eveningfall (msg # 953):

There is a decanter of endless beer and a decanter of endless frosty beer. Real things no joke.

And the most powerful item in that room was a small unassuming stone. Rather the whole complex. That being said your gauntlet is up there. Definately in the top 3. The real question is if there is something more than your gauntlet, but less than the stone.

Re: OOC:

I don't think that the people from the new party are likely to think that you haven't already gotten anything, Nino. You seemed to be showing off the guantlet when we arrived, so even though I the player know you have had that for a while now, the character would know it was relatively new (at least since the last time you saw the other dwarf) and likely assume it was from here.

Nino doesn't realize that he needs better things for survival. Even the previous owner of the gauntlet was killed and I don't want Nino to follow the same path.

Re: OOC:

As our IC thread is almost 1000 posts, I want a consensus from ALL of you wether you want to identify all items, pick what you want and leave, or pick items, identify them and leave.

Either way, Breslin and the other dwarves will be staying a few days to explore and catalogue items then return to Alstadin. If you are going to waterdeep, you can go via Luskan/Miribar with little hold up.

I am sure even though Yacob is eagre to goto waterdeep and see the lady of waterdeep (Also known as Laeral Silverhand) and see if she knows how to find Zarmatan.

If you want to stay and leave with the dwarves, you will have time to rest, identify all items, explore the tower and find books and other stuff in the tower, which will be about 3 days in total
