Rivka smiled
"I don't want to interfere with 'Tymora's Choice', but i hear water down the west way"

"I hear running water too, down the west tunnel, so we found water here as well."

 "Water you say. Running water?" he asks strangely. When they reply that yes it is indeed running water he replies "Then we for sure want to go south. And be careful going west in the future. Running water underground isn't like running water above ground. Underground it means the ground might be compromised. Heck if it was running the wrong way for long enough the complex could be in danger. If we insist going west we need to be careful. "

Nino was a bit distracted with playing with his bear medallion as the party was walking in a new part of the complex. He followed Bob Bob South and when he mentioned water, Nino stopped and drank some of his from his water skin.

Rivka nodded,  listening to the dwarfs advice
"South it is, then."
She proceeded that way

At some point I'll have to explore thge under ground river, to map it at least.

Nym follows the others as they move to continue exploring.

Zell looked down the passage that several members mentioned hearing water and it reminded him of traveling through the sewers. It also reminded Zell of a nasty trap where a trip wire grabbed your ankle and drug you into the water to drown, so Zell stepped up and looked down that passage.

"I'll take a look to see if I can spot any traps down here. Water moving underground like this can be very dangerous. I suggest we stop here for a bit to rest while I check this out. It will take some time."

 "If you insist you need ropes and at least one going with you. I'd prefer two. There are unique water hazards in caves." he says fully intending to go with if he needs to.

I will go with you both if you want me to.

Rivka nodded
"i can join in,  unless that's too many "

I say we all head in that direction, we can let two or three lead by 30 or 40 feet. But it would be foolish to split are group up for any reason.

Zell shook his head "No" when people started volunteering to go down the hall with him.

"That's why I suggest that we stop here and rest for a bit. I don't want to feel rushed because that leads to mistakes."

If your sure Zell, your the pro but at least take Rivak with you. She's quiet and a good tracker' Plus that way if some thing happens at least there will be some one to run like hell yelling help. and we'll hang back and let you do your thing. I trust your judgement, but I don't like you walking off alone.

"Definitely, alone is bad when adventuring."

Rivka shrugged and looked at Zell
"It's your call, my friend.   I'm okay either way "

Zell smiles and invites Rivka to join him

"This is going to be boring for you, but you can watch out for spiders crawling along the walls or something."

Zell slowly walks down the cave, scanning the surfaces for traps and dangers along the uneven floor. It takes him close to 20 minutes while he does this, but he doesn't find any traps as he enters the mouth of a new cave. This one is twice the size of the last one and the floor is covered with what looks like various colored moss or fungus. The largest color is green, with some purple, and a large patch of a grey mound.

"Yeah, and my job is done here. Molds and fungus and all this stuff is beyond my knowledge. You have any clue what this stuff is?"

Rivka rolled her eyes, but not without a smile aimed at her fellow scout
"Silly man, I'm a ranger, someone trained to track a rabbit through rocky ground for miles.  I don't bore easily.  And your company is always entertaining,  fear not."

Though she was perhaps more distracted than she should have been,  Rivka worked to support the keen eyed jeweler.
The molds got her in a serious mood quickly,  however.
"It's probably nothing good.   Be wary, my friend "
She tried to examine the strange stuff from a safe distance.

Zell didn't like molds because some of them were poison, but something caught his eye,

"I see something metal near the grey stuff."

Rivka sighed in frustration
"i wish I knew what this stuff was.  I've heard of moss colonies underground,
but i don't know anything about them.
Perhaps we should tie a rope around you, so if you want to investigate,  i can pull you back if something happens?"

Zell isn't the exploring what he doesn't know type. He likes to go where things are familiar to him or with somebody who knows. A lot less dangerous.

"Yeah...NO. That's not happening. We're going back and telling Yacob what we found. I'm sure he'll know what this stuff is. Let's go back and tell the party what we found."

Rivka nodded and followed Zell back to where they came

Zell and Rivka return to the group and explain the cavern to the west and the fungus on the ground, and even though both heard the sound of water clearly in another cave on the other side of the room, the cave felt wrong to rivka and zell
