"I really must learn this language. Fascinating. You don't say. Hmmm...." and similar is muttered by the dwarf as he carefully copied the runes into a blank notebook.

Nino looked over Bob Bob's shoulder to see what was so interesting, but quickly got bored and went to see if the wolf would let Nino pet him.

Zell too wasn't interested in the old Dwarvish words and let Yacob do his thing, while Zell kept an eye on the party's back. There were too many of the party not looking over their shoulders...

Scar stood his ground as the dwarf approached, clearly a little uncomfortable, with what looked like a scowl on his face.

The wolf slumped his shoulders almost in a sigh as Nino touched him.

Re: Into the depths

While nym and Yacob inspect the statues (Yacob's expression one of wonder and introspect), and nino's on the wolf, Zella eyes pass over the whole cavern. His eyes narrow as he sees a small inperfection in the rocks beside the woman dwarfs statue, and he takes a closer look.

Re: Into the depths

The woman stares at Nino at his attempt to pet the wolf. Her eyes narrow, and she grips her spear tightly."Harm him and he will harm you. And there is nothing I can do but let him. Be best if you do not touch him again." Kalia watches Nino, and then gets off of him. She gently pets his neck and head, and moves in front of him, trying to keep Nino at bay. Her eyes dart from one person to the next and then stop at Zell. Tilting her head, she moves towards him. But she doesn't say a word. Just watches him for some reason.

The wolf lets nino pat him, then once he had a few moments, he padded away, following the druid. he looked over her shoulder at Zell.

The wolf goes to the entrance of the cave and lies down with a small thud

Jonathan steps up to try and read the ruins written by the statues, but fails miserably. He not be able to read then but his ability to scribe and copy are remarkable. The young cleric carefully traces all three ruins into his journal.

"Jeesh...if this was a snake, it would have bitten all of you." Zell said as he found the secret stash

Zell pulls out a scroll case, a small pouch and a potion and places them in front of the statue. He notices that Kalia is looking at him, but motions over at Nino,

"Nino may look fierce, but he has a heart of gold. His mental capacity was damaged due to an accident, if I'm not mistaken. He'd never hurt your companion. If we're still up here in the days to come, I'd bet those two will be sleeping together. And NO, I'm not trying to be dirty."

The druid whistles and motions Scar to come over to her, kneeling down to him and rubbing his face."Scar sleeps with me always. No one else." She doesn't get the whole trying not to be dirty and stares at the rogue before standing back up. She goes over to Zell and looks down on what he found but makes no attempt to take any of the items. She looks over at the rogue one in awhile oddly.

Re: Into the depths

"By Bahamut's blessed grace! Haha it has been found by the gods of the Seldarine and Moradinsamn it has been found!" the wonder and awe in Yacob's voice is evident. Any attempts at answers he waves you away like a gnat. You can tell his brain is gathering information and he doesn't want the distraction. "If my uncle had known we would have an army here. I must find her library." and he goes off into mumbling for a moment.....

Re: Into the depths

He goes from mumbling as mages are want to do from to time to time to sitting on his ass like he got struck by thunder. "I wish Gregor were here he would understand just how either screwed or lucky we are right now." he looks at Nino and the stoic dwarf sheds a single tear.

"We stand in the dwarven version of Myth Drannor at least I am assuming it was meant to be that. At least before the opening of the city. This is the home of a sorceress of insane power. There are rumors that she was a student of The Elminster. Yes that Elminster." he says pointing at the dwarf woman. "While that alone would be enough to earn her tales her husband was a Duergar. Yes I said a Duergar. No I'm not daft or kidding. He was a defender of the hold and Known in Dwarf lore as The Blackguard after his weapon. Which she made for him." he says pointing to the younger Male dwarf. "That was her father the founder of the hold which he named Sarternya. The magic we are going to find only The height of Myth Drannor before the Fall and maybe Netheril hold a candle to this place. I would wager a few of the wonders of those places are still here."

Her name is Anthel.  The first male dwarf's name is Thorgrun.  The other is Gramthyrn.

Nym speaks there names easily for those around the statues to hear.

My mother mentioned something about her power exceeding what she thought was the most powerful of any dwarven or elven wizard  that she had met in her life.

Re: Into the depths

Not much of a historian nevermind one who studies dwarven lore, the druid goes to gently pet the hawk. She tilts her head, and glancing at Scar. Whatever has happened, if they want her involved, they would. She gets closer, eyes upon the hawk.

Nym chuckles at Quinn's pronouncement.

There are many things I don't know.  So don't be surprised when we run into something that I know nothing about.  Wizards are always curious and wanting to learn new things.  That trait get us into a lot of dangerous situations.

Rivka watched as the druid pet her hawk friend, though she was distracted by the revelations of Yacob.  Rangers normally had a great respect for the past, and while Rivka was more for living in the moment,  she was no exception.   It was humbling to be in the confines of such a historic place.

Quinn, Yacob knows the names. He probably knows them better than I do.  I was only relaying a part of what is there for your benefit.  Yacob is caught up in such a moment where fiction and fact meet and are overwhelming to one's mind.
