Re: Into the depths

The woman sighs and attempts to move forwards into a several cave area."I was alright told but I am asking you. Time to go. If you wish to help me, I will accept. You do not know what is difficult and what is not for me." She looks down at the wolf and then back towards Nym and the others."For I know it is difficult but not impossible. She is my mother and I will find her."

Re: Into the depths

Kalia, while I do not know all of your strengths and weaknesses.  I do know it is very difficult to find someone who doesn't want to be found.  Even when that someone is one that you love.

Nym walks over to Jonathan.  Looking over his shoulder at the map and notes he's making.

Your skills with a pen are much better than mine.

Aggrivated, the druid turns and stares at Nym."I will not stop until I find her no matter how long it takes. That is my decision not yours." Her hands tense up, and its hard to tell if she wants to yell or cry.

Nym smiles in understanding and speaks calmly.

Relax.  Nothing is impossible that I know of.  I will help you find her.  When we have some more time I would like for you to tell me more about your mom and this Zarmatan person.

Re: Into the depths

Zell always had it in his head that if he didn't have anything positive to add to an ongoing conversation he wasn't part of, that it was best to keep quiet. He caught the look Kalia gave him, as if she was expecting him to say something, but that wasn't going to happen.

He was still disappointed that the gem was reduced to powder but figured there would be other treasures to find as Zell sifted through the powder to see if there was anything he could salvage.

Re: Into the depths

With Kalia and her wolf scar in tow, the group searches the cave, with the only evidence of occupation (other than the wolf and woman), was now a long cold firepit that looked like it hadn't been used in years, and dust from the gem that held them both.

Backtracking, the group came to the fork in the caves where they followed the light, and explored the other tunnel, only to find it terminated a short way in with nothing so exciting as some long decayed skeletons.

the group made their way to the main cavern and traversed the gigantic area and went to the west where there was two caves to the north and one to the south.

<OOC: With our new player, i decided to move things along. You are back in the main cavern with three possible routes. Decide and explore!>

"One south and two north. Hmmm........ hold on a second." he pulls a Mirabarian crown out and tossed it into the air. The coin glitters in the torch light and he catches it. "Crown south. Axes north."

He opens his hand and a dwarf wearing a crown is visible.

Re: Into the depths

With a decision made to come ntinue south, Rivka, taking lead, starts down the tunnel. The group realise there is two tunnels, and Rivka, shrugging, picks the left and goes down the tunnel. Within a small distance, they find a cave that has the first obvious man-made (or more, dwarf-made) evidence. The room hold three alcoves with a statue in each, two male dwarves and one female. The runes on the stones at the base are written in an ancient dwarven dialect.

<OOC: the alcove appears to be some dedicate to the three dwarves in the statues. Anyone wishing to read the dwarven runes needs to roll a d20 (those who speak dwarfish will have bonuses that I will alter)

Knowing that her knowledge of Dwarven might be more conversational than encyclopedic,  Rivka nonetheless tried to read the inscriptions on the statues

The druid sits upon her mount and moves towards the dwarven runes. Her eyes narrow upon them and she shrugs, trying to read them as well.
