Re: OOC
I'll give the recap a shot. Lucien is the group rogue by the way.
The party has recently traveled from The Spotted Owl Inn with a chest belonging to Gordrenn, allegedly a purveyor of magical goods. The chest allegedly contained magical components for a wizard named Tauster who lives in Thurmaster in the province of Haranshire. Now I say allegedly, not because Lucien is paranoid, but because the party voted against checking the contents of the chest. Even after a ragtag group of farmers attacked the group because they were convinced that the chest was full of dark magics, the party still believed the chest ought to be delivered to Tauster.
As a side note, the party had only been paid with a letter of credit worth 150 gold after confirmation of delivery. If 150 gold seems like a lot to deliver a chest to a relatively peaceful hamlet, then you're right. Not that there's any evidence of any illicit happening with the wizard or his supplier since the box was not inspected and the villagers were not interrogated.
Once the party arrived in the town midway to their goal, they were asked by the locale residents to check up on Tauster's apprentice: Jelenneth. She had not been heard from in some time and people were beginning to worry. After resting, the party continued on to Thurmaster where they delivered the box to Tauster. The wizard had no news of his apprentice so the party went in search of her. After convincing the local magistrate and a druid to help them track the girl, the party came upon some orcs who were summarily beaten back, but with no sign of the girl.
The party also successfully managed to capture and restrain a werebear, who the magistrate was trying to find and help. We left off with the group debating pursuing the orcs under the assumption that Jelenneth had been kidnapped by them. As a tangentially related note, the promised reward for the girl's return was 400 old pieces. Just throwing that out there.
