Re: OOC

I wanted to copy the scrolls into my spell book for sure. Beyond that, I have no idea what we will have to spend and what is available for what we'll have. Off hand I might say better armor, and spells. What any of that might cost, I am not sure.

Re: OOC

Rissa would want her share of the gold, and if anything was sold she'd want her share of that, especially the emeralds

However, if they were just being handed out?  She'd decline the choker and let someone else have it.  She's trying to make friends.

@Terminax.  Doesn't look like there are any rules saying the scrolls get burned up if you copy them.  However.

quote:
For each level of the spell, the process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp. The cost represents material components you expend as you experiment with the spell to master it, as well as the fine inks you need to record it. Once you have spent this time and money, you can prepare the spell just like your other spells.

You're gonna need cash for fancy paper and inks.

Re: OOC

I put the 71 gold pieces into the "group fund," which brings the total to 673 gold pieces. If anyone wants anything from that fund, let me know what you're taking and I'll update the total.

The platinum choker with emeralds can be sold for 1500 gold pieces. The silver scroll case can be sold for 150 gold pieces.

There are three spell scrolls:
  • stinking cloud
  • fly
  • dispel magic

If you want to purchase anything, check with me first, as supplies in Thurmaster will be limited.

Will anyone in Thurmaster even be able to buy the choker or jewels?

I'd want to pick up 20 gp worth of charcoal, incense, and herbs.

Ditto plus a portable brass brazier. Good thinking Rissa.

Re: OOC

No shopping needs for me.  The fact that I only have 1 GP, 4 SP to my name helps lead to a thrifty lifestyle.  ^^;

Re: OOC

Tauster will have the items you listed; you can purchase them from him at the normal price.

Barranas, the owner of Thurmaster's general store, can buy the scroll case (for 130 gold pieces) but you'll have to sell the choker in Milborne or see if Count Parlfray is interested in it.

Re: OOC

I almost want to hang on to the scroll case for now, unless anyone objects.

Lucien spends 25gp on charcoal, incense, herbs, and a small brass brazier. Deducted from my sheet.

Rissa, were you taking 20 gold from the group fund?

Re: OOC

My shopping would be limited to fancy papers and inks, a bunch of flammable oil, oh, and a necklace I could use as an arcane focus (not sure what that does) but I don't know how much I personally have to spend?

Re: OOC

Terminax, according to your sheet you currently have 23 gold pieces.

After Rissa's deduction of 20 gold pieces, the group fund still has 653 gold pieces.

I have not updated the gold amount since before the payout from Count Palfrey, because I never knew how much we each got. :/

Count Parlfray paid each party member 15 gold pieces for their services. In Message #358 of "Lured Into Darkness", after Count Parlfray paid everyone, you (Terminax) sent me a private message that read: "Added the gold."

Whew! Thanks! Sorry if I missed that - I have ADHD and I have spread myself WAY to thin in terms of both work and RPOL commitments (along with just getting a PS4 and HTC Vive).

So... yeah, appreciate the patience in terms of helping me stay current with this game. :p

Re: OOC

Sorry for the quiet lately.  Life has been a little complicated on my end of things lately.  We can probably safely assume Gazira has been waiting outside/in the background since she doesn't have any personal connection with the current conversation and is trying to be unobtrusive.

Has anyone given their familiar a name? I've considered naming Lucien's 'Prometheus', but I'm not sure that he's the type to name his familiar.

Re: OOC

So it sounds like there is a consensus that you want to talk to Lyntern Parlfray... When and where do you want to talk to him? How do you want to contact him? Do you want to send a message using your familiar(s)?
