Some questions, then, with a comment tossed in at the end:

1. What are our individual shares of gold?
   
2. How familiar are we with Milborne?
   
3. Along that line, are there shops which sell any magic items?
   
4. What else can one spend gold on in 5ED? It seems to pretty much lack a magic item economy like you get in 3.5/PF.
   
5. How long does it take to learn a language? I think we should make sure Undercommon is a language we speak. IIRC, it's 250 gold to learn a language...

1. A lot. This is what I have on my sheet. Money (Cottage): 2040 pp, 16333 gp, 2610 ep, 4191 sp, 1790 cp
2. At this point we're pretty familiar with the town. Alisandra might be less so since we haven't done many adventures for the residents directly since she joined the party though. Lucien, Lathan, and Rissa are probably on a first name basis with most of the important people.
3. Historically, we've not been able to buy magic items in town. Only stuff from the players handbook.
4. We've really not had much to spend gold on honestly.
5. No idea, but Lucien does not speak Undercommon.

Rissa speaks Undercommon!

Opted for surface langauges (Common, Elvish, Dwarvish) as while she's probably taken part in combating the raids and kidnappings... Hasn't quite gone into the depths yet.

Rissa, Alisandra will trade teaching you Orcish (you really can't swear properly until you've learned Orcish!) for Undercommon. :-)

Thanks, Lucien! I've been busier than usual this week, so I've been having difficulty finding time to post, but I'll try to get more up tonight or tomorrow.

Alisandra, it takes 10 weeks minus your Intelligence modifier, to learn a new language from a tutor.

What's 11 weeks between friends? (Yes, Alisandra has a -1 Int mod...)

I assume, however, that we can do other things, including continuing the adventure, while they teach each other?

I'm sure it will add to the time if we do it while trudging about in the dark, but we'd certainly have plenty of opportunities.
