Lured Into Darkness
Karon screams savagely when one of the seemingly endless number of heads gets past his shield, ripping into his throat. The chain coif blunts the attack, but the sharp teeth penetrate through the armor, drawing blood from his throat. The massive half-orc is pushed down to one knee by the weight of the dog before he can get the edge of his shield to push against the beast's throat causing it to let go of Karon's neck. He can feel his blows slowing down and his vision become blurry, and realizes he doesn't have long left in this world unless those dogs are put down, and fast.
He forces himself to his feet again, roaring a battlecry. "Run little guy," he shouts, seemingly randomly, not really sure if Gerbo understands, not focused enough to make any sense. "I'll hold them off, Lucien, you have to run," he shouts, his thoughts as scattered as his words, but the sentiment is clear as he feels the fight will soon be lost.
The dog comes in for another attack, but the half-orc is ready for him and swings at the beast with his sword, slicing deep into the flank of the dog. "Die you bastard, die!" he shouts at it, feeling his strength leaving him.
