Re: OOC II

What has been tough? Have new players caused conflict or do their backgrounds not fit? Maybe it would be better if you told me how I might endear myself...
I’ve got Healing word and Lesser Restoration. If needed I can add Cure Wounds, I’ll figure out what to drop for that. I can just give you my spell list -
Light
Vicious Mockery (best Cantrip EVER!!)
Fairie Fire (my favorite low lever spell)
Feather Fall
Healing Word
Hold Person
Lesser Restoration
Shatter (My only other offensive spell)

I’ve got 1/2 proficiency in any skill I don’t have. I have Expertise in Perception and Stealth; Proficiency in Acrobatics, Athletics, Deception, Insight, Persuasion,  Sleight of Hand, and Survival. I can use Horns, Drums, and Bagpipes (the instruments normally associated with the military) as well as both land and water vehicles. If you guys have a wagon or a sailboat I can handle those.

As a Lore Bard I have Cutting Words, which can be used to reduce any ability check (including Initiative); My initiative bonus is +8 (Dex + Jack of All Trades + Alertness); and a 13 sv dc as well as +5 to magic attacks.

On the downside, my AC is low, only 13. I only have up close weapons and light armor on me.

Anything I should change or anything?

In reply to Rissa Twiceborn (msg # 227):

I think you officially qualify, yeah. How many rounds of new players have there been since you joined?

On a related note, this game will be four years old in a couple of months!

In reply to Alisandra (msg # 228):

It's nothing like that (at least no one has been preemptively kicked out to my knowledge), it's just the normal attrition inherent to play by post games. A lot of people just stop posting.

You'll have no problem fitting in with this group. Everyone has a little magic. I'm also a sneaky type. Lathan and Three Elks are the frontliners. Rissa is the pure caster (sort of). We've got a pretty diverse group so feel free to play what's most interesting to you.

Re: OOC II

Heya, I'm going to be playing Geris, the party's new Cleric!  She worships Selûne, and has taken on the Life Domain.  She might also be a refreshing change of pace, being, erm, significantly less inclined to sneakery!  ...she's kinda clumsy.  Brawny, but clumsy.  Dexterity was her "dump stat".  Charisma is next on the list, so she's kind of a dork, but means well enough.  Everything else is just ducky, though!

Aside from the Life Domain Spells, she's got the following memorised...
Cantrip: Sacred flame, spare the dying, thaumaturgy
1st: Bane, detect evil and good, healing word, shield of faith
2nd: Augury, hold person

I've been a Cleric for quite a spell, and I like to make sure that there's "a little bit of everything" in my day-to-day spells, as soon as that becomes an option.

With that all being said, it's great to be adventuring with all of you!

Re: OOC II

Welcome, welcome!

Oops, I didn't mean to imply there had been drama, I meant entirely that getting people up to date on the story has been hard.  Add to that the usual drop out rate on rpol.  Three Elks is our previous most recent, and they've had to do the same thing I had to do in game when I joined, asked lots of questions IC about who people are and what's going in.

Which actually works great, because it forces the people who have been in the game from the beginning to remember what happened.

Glad to have you both.

In reply to Rissa Twiceborn (msg # 234):

I've honestly been thinking that I should start taking notes so I don't have to skim through old threads to try and remember.

Re: OOC II

Hey, everyone! My computer crashed yesterday. :( I should have time to post something using my wife's computer tomorrow, but I won't be on as regularly until I get my computer replaced.

The dice roller is convinced that this is a feature of your character Rissa.

Re: OOC II

Right?

This has actually been rather satisfying, I built a character who is inexperienced in battle and the dice roller is obliging me.

We can if you like, but I usually just use the game as window dressing for the interrogation... Erm... For getting to know each other.
