Say Hello:

just to double check you are in game G1 and G7?
No problem, what I am planning on doing is haveing things created in the GM game then I will copy paste into the player game so that you can see and use them them as a player.

Say Hello:

Yes in both, have to ask what is the difference between a PC and an NPC if there is only one player?

Say Hello:

IF you are a GM there is almost no difference.
in a game where you are a player you can only post the PC assigned to you. as a GM you can post as any body.  which comes in useful if you have to enforce a minimum post per week by puting in a neutral post for a sluffing character, so the other players feel able to continue posting.

Say Hello:

If my memory serves me correctly, I vaguely believe I had noticed at some point that NPCs may be able to post links with cosmetic names.  [i.e. the html like links, instead of just simply a URL which turns into a link when shown]

I'd have to test it however to be sure I remember correctly (or that it is still the case)

Say Hello:

I am not quite sure what you mean?
a link using RPOL specific language?

Say Hello:

If you mean you don't understand, to my response.  One difference between a PC and an NPC is what types of codes you can use in a post.  Thinks like silent spoilers, or I believe normal html links, and maybe perhaps image tags.

Yes that would be an important thing for people to know about what tags exist and which diferent poster types can use.

Say Hello:

I think you would be a person most knowledgeable in how to proceed with this idea:

This is an idea I have had in my head for some time. I have been involved in quite a few SIM, which are essentially structly structured play by posts, and wondered if we are making entries into a ship's log- would it not make sense to have a SIM in the first person? Like a real ship's log?

Yet how would people interact, would descriptions overlap? I then thought of waking up on a mysterious ship, and the ship expands as more and more people join.

I don't know, is a first person SIM possible? And not necessarily Star Trek at all. Would every thread be a different log? At this point I am not sure if this should be a SIM, a pbp, a blog, or a one man job.

Ideas, advice, laughter?

Say Hello:

Sorry to take so long some how this last month our family blew our whole band width early.
I am trying to picture what you are describing. And what the structure you would need who sees what.
I'm not sure if you are leaning this to game play or mutual story telling.

Say Hello:

No prob, actually started it over on google groups. I think it would work better as an email tale.
