In reply to Panian (msg # 11):

Vito draws a few cards...puts them back...shuffles and draws again....

Every time the draw is the same....death....I see death....

He turns his back and walks over to a corner in the room and sits down. You hear him starting to mumble what sounds like prayers in Vistani.

I need to believe that. I need to believe we can save him from Azalin. If his future is meant to be something else because of this land then so be it, but I will not have him influenced by that mad-man!

In reply to Theodoric (msg # 13):

In the darkest hour is when the light is needed the most. When people despair, when death and fear triump, that is when goodness and light need to stand strong for all to see. We will stand strong together. For each other, for your new son (he looks at Hallid and Krysnys) and for this city. It there is anything we can do to influence the prophecy, we must in good faith try to do it! Nichia is telling the truth in what she saw. We are the ones that her vision told of, we are the ones that can stop the darkness and bring light back to this city!

In reply to Hallid (msg # 7):

K returns his smile, but there is a lot of sadness in her eyes. The group can tell she is getting antsy. She is avoiding making eye contact with the others.

She is having trouble controlling the almost debilitating guilt she feels over this. It was her (and Hallid's) decision that led to the pregnancy, that led to this child and Chacha's readings and ultimately this threat to the group.

Anyone mentally connected to her hears, "I'm sorry, I understand, I love you." Basically on repeat.

Panian leans back, and puts his hand to his head, with his eyes closed.

"I believe I will abstain from my decision from now and wait for Nymeria to make a decision. It may take some time for her to decide. I would go where she goes.

Vito, if you see death each time, would you leave with us if that is what we choose to do?"

Gives Krysnys a big hug.

We can not give up hope for our son. We both have dealt with our share of demons and we conquered them and came out stronger and better for the experience. We need to have faith that good can still happen here in this hellish land. We need to get Joey back. I am sorry that I pushed you into doing this, but I was so excited to be a father, have a family once again after losing all of mine. i have to believe that we can save him....I have to believe it....

In reply to Panian (msg # 18):

I will stay with Charani. She is my family now. I left her once because I was upset and acting like a child. I will not do that again to her. I do hope she gets to see her brother Alexii. It would be a real shame if she died before she could see him.....

Vito goes back to his cards, mutterings, and Vistani "business". He looks at Charani, wondering what she will decide to do.

This isn't your fault. I still have hope for Joey. Theo and Remove are right. You are right. But I do not have false hope. I believe that going will result in some form of loss. And for that I am both extremely sorry and extremely scared. You and Joey are my family. But so are the rest of these guys, for better or for worse.

As always, my goal is to keep the group together and safe. Afterall we went through to get Panian back, how could I say no to Krynys and Hallid trying to get their family back? The pain of losing blood is strong, but the desire to reunite is stronger.

I would like a few minutes to pray / scry with Lelethot. Although you may not agree with my decision to continue her ways, I cannot deny the power and strength she has blessed me with has helped our group!

Panian, please watch your words. Krysnys and Hallid need not hear anymore about death. Flee if you lack courage. Please do nothing more to sow doubt and fear. Courage is now our most precious resource.

In reply to Theodoric (msg # 24):

Theo, it's fine. Hearing about death or not doesn't change the reality. Courage has little to do with this decision. This is about faith. Panian is newly returned to us and is possibly the most understanding of what is being risked this evening. Should he, and anyone else, choose not to come, it is their choice alone and I wish them love, happiness, and deeply hope to see them again one day.

Nymeria nods in agreements, as she has totally been paying attention and checking every day!

Although she is committed to helping K and H get their child back, she is very nervous about the price the group might have to pay. All that effort to get Panian back and have their group almost whole again, and no time to enjoy it before we are tested again.

Ravenloft sucks.

Nichia has the layout of the Grim Fastness prison and will share that with you all on Sunday. She is very adamant that time is of the essence because she sees everything bad going off around midnight. You are not sure of the exact time, you just now that it is dark out. As you are sitting down getting ready to go over battle plans, you notice Nymeria and then Charani both go into deep trances. As hard as you try you can not snap them out of it. Nichia says that you can not take these two with you and says that Goya will watch over them in her house. They should be safe here!
