Re: OOC

Oh I get it, Jak!  Bram's your friend but not Dweeble?  And here she thought they had so much in common.  They like playing with locks and picks, think rats are adorable, and talk to themselves before bed every night!

Okay, the last one may just be Dweeble...

Yay for Natural 20's too!

Re: OOC

Well Jak has been traveling a bit more and he didn't want to show favoritism to Dweeble. People might get the wrong (or right) idea about them. They might start to talk. And since Jak hasn't even spoke to Dweeble yet about his feelings (or lack thereof) it might be awkward.

LOL!

Re: OOC

Well you can at least sing her some halfling lullabies to make it up to her then!  She'll teach you a plethora of them even.  You'll know so many hin poems you'll shrink six inches at least!

Re: OOC

Never think that Jak's vicious mockeries go unappreciated!  Bram's player just has the memory of a hummingbird.

Dweeble doesn't need friends anyway, it seems like!  After getting blasted to within an inch of death she just heals herself and gets right back to battle :)

Re: OOC

It seems to be a bardic curse of sorts. Every group I've ever played with that has a bard, the inspiration is usually given to whoever continuously rolls crits of any sort where it doesn't help, or simply never gets a chance to use it :P

Re: OOC

This is my first 5E Bard....and...actually it might be my first Bard since like...3.5 I think. I liked the Pathfinder version, but I generally fill in gaps in a party so that never really came up lol.

Welcome back, DM!

Oh dang, I totally missed that Bram had Bardic Inspiration!  Is it too late to retroactively use it on the Con save against being mercilessly exploded? :P

Yup totally fine. We can retcon if needed.

14:39, Today: Bramwell Caulder rolled 3 using 1d6.  Bardic Inspiration.

That gets me a total of 12 on the Con save...  I doubt Larrakh's spellcasting is that wimpy, so no retcon required!

Yeah, Dweeble is her own hin who don't need no friends!

... I mean, yeah.  Who needs friends...  She's just so lonely!

Re: OOC

As we're approaching levelling up, I wanted to ask: how's everyone finding the Google sheets version of the character sheets? Do you use them, and if so, more or less than the RPOL versions?

Personally I find them more convenient than the built-in RPOL pages, but obviously they're not quite as accessible on all devices.

If there's sufficient desire we could move entirely away from the RPOL sheets & inventory threads, and rely solely on the Google Sheets as everyone's "official" PC sheet. If this is the way the group wants to go I can just make the Sheets version editable when it's time to level up, so you can make updates directly in the sheet (Google retains an audit log of all changes, so we can always restore an older version if needed). We could retain the RPOL versions just for historical purposes.

Thoughts?

Kind of in the same boat as Jak here...I forgot we had them to be honest. And I can't seem to find the link to Mayon's...so I normally just stick with the RPol one.

Re: OOC

The link should be right at the top of your RpOL sheet. I'd use it if it was editable, probably.

I can't see Google docs with my old phone, but I can when I get to a desktop PC, so I'm fine with having a single char sheet at Google docs.

Re: OOC

Ok, no worries - let's not do that for the Level 3 upgrade then. If folks end up using & liking the Sheets more in the future we can always revisit.

Just FYI, I've been trying to keep them up to date myself with inventory, hit point, spell slots, etc., so you're welcome to use them as a reference for what I think you have anyway ;).

Well, I'll say that I personally love the custom sheet, DM.  It's organized well and works well for me so if you want to keep updating Dweeble's, I'll be happy!

I'll keep updating all of them regardless, because I find it easier to keep track that way anyway ;)

I replaced the map with a more zoomed-out version, so you could more easily see options of where to go next. If you're done in the current room, let me know where you're headed!

So, how much experience do we have, so far? I know we've reached 3rd level, but don't know what we're at points-wise.

Re: OOC

Well let's see here.  We do have some unexplored territory left but I know Jak is out of spell slots.  Dweeble could probably use a top off with an expended hit die too.

Do you all want to keep pushing forward right now, take a quick short rest, or just back out and get everyone up to full?

I'm partial to just continuing, to be honest.  I can keep Dweeble back and I think Bram is relatively okay health wise, right?  Dweeble needs more shinies!  >:D

Though I really need to get her a crossbow or shortbow the next time we're in town.  Having to get within 20 feet for decent dagger tosses is making her life a lot more dangerous that it needs to be when terrain is sparse.

Re: OOC

Most of the rooms we can go in are further back, right? So we could probably take a short rest at the very least before heading back and checking them on the way out...map isn't showing our current location, but I don't think I saw another way out of the floating stone room, which would mean we're at the end.

Re: OOC

Yeah I didn't notice another exit from this room either, Mayon.  I'm pretty much assuming we either have to take that way into the hall we passed or go through those hungry little rats.  Might need to do some Animal Handling or sneaking through the area.

I'm fine using Dweeble to scout ahead by the way, guys.  I haven't been trying to push her in front to separate but this might be one of those times to just let her sneak past those little buggers and make sure there's nothing concerning beyond that point.
