Re: OOC

Crap, I had Mayon talking to Verthel...would we just say that he tagged along with him and Bram in that case?

Jakrynn Redgate:
Jak did want to go back to the quarry and sneak in. Is the quarry like fenced in or something?

No, not fenced in at all - there's a path that leads down to it, but you can also make your way around and get to it from any direction. The walls are not especially steep around the sides but it's not as easy to climb down as the path. Check out the quarry near #18 on the Red Larch map and it should be fairly clear.

That's fine, or you can say you talked to him before he and Bram went to the Helm. No big deal.

Re: OOC

Updated locations:

- Bram, Verthel, and Mayon are talking outside the Helm with Stiofan.
- Asano & Jak are on the road near Albaeri's house talking to each other.
- Morg headed to the inn for crumblecake

Re: OOC

This stakeout in the darkness with mysterious shadowy figures about seems a bit dangerous now...  Perhaps splitting the party wasn't the wisest idea :P  Don't die, brave watchers!

Sorry, I won't be able to do a proper post until... probably Wednesday? I'm doing Get Out the Vote stuff tomorrow and that'll occupy my whole day.

No problem! I live to serve! I'm here to help!

DM, does Jak see/hear them moving in on Asano?

Yes, Jak hears the shout as he's headed for the road, and can hear movement in the quarry.

Re: OOC

I want to find out what those masked figures are up to!  Chances are they'll be gone by the time Jak and Asano can gather us up and bring us back to the spot... or they might have an ambush waiting for us.  The wise thing would probably be to come back another night, but I'm ok with being unwise :)

I'm all for going on a manhunt. If nothing else we can probably find some clues and signs as to where these guys keep coming from.

Re: OOC

Anything else with the constable, or for Day 1? If you like we can start Day 2, and if you know where you're headed I can set that up too.

[Private to Asano Breathkill: I you like you can share the symbol on the masked figures' armor with the rest of the party. If you're not sure how to do that just mention it in your post & I can update it with the link. Of course, you don't have to share if you don't want to ;)]

Re: OOC

Yeah, I think our quarry infiltration has been shot down for tonight.  What say we earn a little goodwill with the town and look into the banditry problem tomorrow?

Taking a rest and checking out bandits sounds good to me. Not much left for us to do without getting arrested. :P

LOL - sorry all, it just worked out that way, but a little delayed gratification is always good, no? ;) And now you've got a little mystery on your hands...

Ok, a little housekeeping before we move to day 2:
- Check out the Loot thread where I've compiled the bill for day 1 - please update your Inventory thread and subtract the money you spent:
Asano - 2gp, 3sp, 8cp
Bram - 2sp, 6cp
Jak - 8sp
Mayon - 8sp, 8cp
Morg - 2sp, 2cp
Verthel - 8sp

- Anyone with spells you can memorize each day (basically just Verthel at level 1) can change what you've got memorized if you post changes before your first post in the Day 2 thread.

- You're all at full HP and stuff, so I think that's about it for the long rest.

- Do you want me to start you at the inn in Red Larch in the morning, or fast-forward you to the Cairn Road south of town?

I'd rather get right into the bandit-hunting action.  We've already covered a whole lot of town business and I'm ready to get down to business :)

I've been getting a lot of timeout errors when trying to load RPoL recently, so if I'm not posting then please just NPC Morg for a while. I've not abandoned the game - I'm just struggling to post.

I've been getting those a lot, too. I just leave it for a bit and come back a few hours later, and it usually works. Hopefully the site starts working better for you, too, Morg.  :)

Re: OOC

Same, I was wondering if it was just meet. Not sure if it's due to site maintenance or some other issue.

I'll try to set up an in-character post now that the weekend has arrived.

EDIT: Checked the forums, admins have confirmed it's a hardware issue with the website that they're working on.
