As the skeletons knock arrows, one of them takes a blast of cold from Asano. It remains frozen in place as the other archers loose.  None of the arrows find their marks, as two bounce off Bram's shield.

Mid round update 1: Dweeble, Bram, and Jak up now.

S1 attacks Morg at disadvantage due to range - MISS.

S2 attacks Bram - MISS.

S3 attacks Mayon, Bram imposes disadvantage - MISS.

S4 is down.

Jak let out a grunt as one of the clawed hand things struck him. He glanced back and noticed almost all of his allies had left him to deal with the two claws while they ran off towards the skeletons! That was just great. Abandoned and injured, he swung at the same creature again, and once again he missed. He let out another curse.

14:16, Today: Jakrynn Redgate rolled 9,8 using d20+4,d6+2 with rolls of 5,6.  Shortsword attack on Claw #4.

Satisfied to see one skeleton out of the picture, Mayon aims his hand and fires a blast at the one next to it. If they can get rid of the hail of arrows, their job will be just that much easier.

Movement: None. If Bram moves, though, Mayon will move to stay adjacent to him.

Re: Day 4 - Lance Rock Part 2

Bram gritted his teeth at the sound of two arrows clattering against his shield.  While none of them had been hit in this volley, it was apparent that Mayon had been pierced more than once already.  The Glyphscribe held a gloved hand above a bloody arrow shaft stuck in Mayon's leg and chanted a few cryptic syllables under his breath to summon Deneir's curative magic.  The arrow proceeded to fall out onto the flagstones, and the wound it had caused vanished except for the smears of residual blood.  "Move up!  We're nearly to them!" Bram said as he advanced nearer to the skeletons.

  • Cure Wounds on Mayon restores 9 HP
  • Move to G35, and assuming that Mayon comes along
  • If any ally is attacked while adjacent to me, use my reaction to impose disadvantage on that attack.

15:51, Today: Secret Roll: Bramwell Caulder rolled 9 using 1d8+3.  Healing Word.

Jak was getting frustrated with his inability to hit the clawed hands and their ability to keep slicing him slowly to death. He swung once more at the very creepy clawed hand in front of him but the damned things were so agile and small it was hard to hit them - at least, for him, gods know his companions seemed to be able to hit them just fine! Morg stammers from the punch on his head, and swats down at the claw at his legs. "Jak, I'm pretty banged up - could you help me with some of those magical words of yours?"
I'll edit the description and actions if the claws' attacks change things.

If Morg is still conscious, and C2's not been destroyed (Dwee?) and is in melee range, he'll attack it. If C2 is destroyed by his turn, and C4's not been destroyed he'll move to and attack it (and if destroying C4, move back behind a rock/table for some cover from the skeletons.)

Action: attack C2 (or C4) with warhammer - hits AC 14 for 8 bludgeoning.

Bram brought his battleaxe back to hand as the arrows clanged and scraped off his shield.  Now that he was near Oreioth's grisly tools he couldn't help but shudder at the thought of what they'd been used for.  All the more reason to put an end to this madness.  "Take cover here whilst I engage them!" he suggested to Mayon as he moved past the table and closed the remaining distance to the skeleton archers.

Jak gave a nod to Morg. "Morg, I'm happy t'help as you help me. Against this thing I could use a hand." He tapped out a rhythm on the drums hanging from his waist, humming a bit, and willing energy to flow from him to Morg. Much of the dwarf's wounds healed before their eyes.

Then he looked at the claw thing again and made a tsking noise. He was really tired of fighting these things. He knew it wouldn't do any good probably, but he certainly wasn't getting anywhere swinging his shortsword.  "You might be able t'claw me or give a thumbs up, but know what you can't do, you creepy thing? Clap!"

OOC: Healing Word on Morg for 8 hp.
Vicious Mockery (2 damage if not saved or immune) on the claw cause Jak's running out of ideas and can't hit the damn thing. Honestly he figues Morg will have to finish it off and the Mockery won't work.

Re: Day 4 - Lance Rock Part 2

Jak's jibe causes the disembodied claw in front of him to pause. After a moment it continues to skitter about, but in a slow, almost half-hearted way. After a few weak attempts to threaten Jak, it slumps and slowly rolls over onto the back of its hand, fingers curled up in a loose ball. A moment later Morg's crushes its fellow against the rock with a crunch.

Mayon's blast scatters the bones of one of the skeletons in all directions. Expressionlessly, the skeleton to its right bends down, picks up one of the loose bones, and fits it to the bowstring. Both loose their projectiles at point blank range, but they bounce off Bram's shield.
