Re: OOC

Heh. Do we know what kind of checks are used for flying and staying mounting on these birds?

Probably animal handling, athletics, acrobatics, and splatter checks.

Yeah, that sounds about right to me =D

To be serious, your PCs can see there are harnesses, belts, etc. to keep you strapped onto the bird. You're not flying just on a bare saddle like on a horse.

Re: OOC

Staying mounting was a secondary concern. CONTROLLING the mount is a WHOLE different, ahem, animal. =)

Re: OOC

Do we need to make a check to control the mount/fly/etc for those of us flying our own mount and not in combat yet?

Nope, I'm going with the original ability check for that until something significant changes.

Re: OOC

Zora, do you want to attack this round? You can get to melee range this round, though it would take the vulture's full movement.

Re: OOC

Oops! I mistakenly left Zora out of group 1, so she couldn’t see the OOC thread and a bunch of others. Sorry about that!!!!

A belated welcome to the game Zora, and many many thanks to Morg for pointing out the error!!!

Hi!

I thought it was strange that there was no ooc...

You have my attacks post from last night, right?

Re: OOC

Welcome to the party, pal.  :D

Bless is such a great spell. I always feel better having a cleric backing up the party.

Good to have you, Zora! I'm a huge fan of clerics, and Tempest is probably my favorite, so this is gonna be fun :D

Re: OOC

Mister DM, considering the close quarters on the double mounts, would you allow my shield spell to affect any one of us (me, Savra, or vulture) if I chose to do so? Understandable if not, but I was just wondering.

It's technically a spell that affects only the caster so you can't cast it on someone else, but if you want to somehow jump in front of an incoming spike(s) as a Reaction that might be fun...

Also Asano, don't forget you've been Blessed, so you can roll an additional d4 for attack rolls.

Also, I know the roller says Chill touch for this round, but I decided on ray of frost. At least until everyone else catches up. Shield is on deck, just in case.

Re: OOC

I think we may have lost Tessa - I think I'll have to obtain another replacement, maybe this weekend if I have time.

In any case, I think Morg should get the +1 dagger for the time being (and longer, if you want to keep it) and Jak had already claimed the driftglobe. Here are the details if you want to add those to your Inventory threads - I've already added them to your Google Drive character sheets:

Reszur: +1 dagger A well-made dagger decorated with star motifs and a grip of night-blue leather. The dagger doesn’t make noise when it hits or cuts something. The name “Reszur” is graven on the dagger’s pommel. If the wielder speaks the name, the blade gives off a faint, cold glow, shedding dim light in a 10-foot radius until the wielder speaks the name again.

driftglobe: This small sphere of thick glass weighs 1 pound. If you are within 60' of it, you can speak its command word and cause it to emanate the light or daylight spell. Once used, the daylight effect can't be used again until the next dawn.
You can speak another command word as an action to make the illuminated globe rise into the air and float no more than 5' off the ground. The globe hovers in this way until you or another creature grasps it. If you move more than 60' from the hovering globe, it follows you until it is within 60' of you. It takes the shortest route to do so. If prevented from moving, the globe sinks gently to the ground and becomes inactive, and its light winks out.

Re: OOC

Guess I didn't need that spell after all. Going to update resources, do I lose the spell slot for that command?
