Re: OOC

Jakrynn Redgate:
That's what I'm talking about. When I click the link in the post, it takes me to the 3 maps previously available - the Magmins, and the 2 outside for the camp (the fight map and the general overview map for the elemental fire camp).

AH sorry - my bad. I must have forgotten to paste in the new link. Will fix later today when I have access to a computer.

Re: OOC

Jesus, for a second I thought we were entering combat due to the tables in Magdrak's post, LOL!

Also...wasn't Lytin a 'she'?

Re: OOC

(I know it's a holiday weekend for those in the U.S. but) What do you think, gang? I mean, it sounds like we might learn more information but...I have concerns about where we might end up when this inevitably turns in to a fight (since we DON'T, as far as I know, actually know the name of the leader/prophet of the fire cult). Do we start a fight once we're away from the hobgoblins? Or take this through? Or does someone have a third option?

Re: OOC

Farther away from the hobs and other razer, and closer to the cellblock sounds better - maybe we can release some Azers to help.

Re: OOC

I was trying to figure out how to relay that plan in character without being overheard. I'm with Morg, get some distance from other enemies then jump our guide.

Re: OOC

I disagree. We should actually find the prison first, and this guide person is our best bet.

Re: OOC

I don't want to bury Findarion's question (please reply!), but I updated the post in the main thread to indicate several others have obtained Inspiration for achieving one of their "secret missions" - sorry for flaking on that earlier!

What kind of action to cover someone's mouth so they don't scream?

I’d call that a grapple.

Re: OOC

Leaving that to someone who doesn't have -1 str then :D

As part of Hex you can give the opponent disadvantage on checks with one ability. Strength or dexterity would help with grappling.

Fair point. Wiglaf would go with Strength. =)

Re: OOC

@Asano, typically when readying an action you would specify a trigger and the actual action you'd take when that trigger happens. Are you planning a specific attack if someone approaches and/or if the razerblast escapes?

You do have Inspiration remember Jak... that can be used for saves if you want.

Remember too this is a sandbox adventure, so not every encounter will be calibrated to the party's current level ;) It so happens the party is currently in quite a dangerous area for 4th level PCs, so Jak's observation is well taken.

Oh I know, but with my luck (See below) I thought why waste it? But it rarely hurts to try, it just hurts the same. =D

15:59, Today: Jakrynn Redgate rolled 6 using 1d20+4 with rolls of 2.  Dexterity saving throw: Inspiration Style!

Just waiting on Findarion's dex save, then if you're continuing south down the corridor I'll post an update tomorrow.

So there is nothing apparent that would happen should the wire be tripped?
