Yeah. It doesn't matter if Jak saves or not, he's still down. He only has 13 hit points I believe. So post on.

Re: OOC

A quick update on some things as we wait for folks to post their next actions:

- Jak's player has decided to take this opportunity to switch out to another PC. It's up to Jak/the group how you want to send Jak off.

- Once the group takes a long rest, I'm planning to post for new players to replace Wiglaf and Asano (they'll have the choice to continue as those existing PCs or, more likely, create new ones), to bring us back up to 6 active players.

Jak might just die

Not liking the bard, Jak? What were you thinking of playing instead?

Re: OOC

With medicine checks from everyone, Jak's sure to stabilize. After the near death experience, he could take a break from adventuring and go tell Harburk about the quests we did for him.

If the party tries another entrance on  Morg's map, Jak could find us since he's seen the map.

Re: OOC

I'm making up a Warlock to help with the arcane side of things, versatility/utility (especially eventually) and a bit of healing (but we could still use a dedicated healer).

Divination magic reveals... more people asking for short rests :D.

Also, Morg's been looking to learn more about patrons since Mayon.

Re: OOC

Thoughts on next moves in the main thread?

Re Jak, how we end his thread is up to Jak’s player would like his story to end. He can just die, Sharpwind can carry him away dead or alive like a male Khaleesi, etc.

Hmm...it would be cool I think to have Sharpwind fly off with Jak, though less cool for the other PCs probably who might be upset with her.

My vote for a next step is that long rest so we can level up.  (:-D)

Re: OOC

Agreed on skipping to a long rest for level 5.

Do the remaining party want to go look at another entrance on Morg's map? (Preferably one without a gigantic fire creature.)

I'm going to drop this game as there have been substantial changes to my life which result in less free time. I had fun while it lasted.

Bummer! Sorry to see you go, but thanks for letting us know. I guess Jak could leave with Findarion then if you wanted.

Thanks for playing.

Morg's bucket list item #1 is to have a rogue buddy at the same time he has "Commander's strike". The timing has always been just a day or so out with Dweeble, Fin, and Maneuver versatility.

Re: OOC

For Morg and Magdrak - go ahead and level up to 5 - we can do a long rest and introduce new characters as their players join (plus Jak's replacement already in progress) after that.

Re: OOC

I've opened up the game for new RTJs, and reached out to 3 folks on the waiting list. Keep leveling up, and doing anything else you'd like to before the long rest.

Any thoughts on where you'll be long-resting?

Re: OOC

Leveled up to 5, changes marked in green at Link back to this game (If any of you have proficiency in Perception, remember to increase your passive perception by 1 for the increase in the proficiency bonus.)

Long rest any where away from the fire cult's site?

Does 1 hour of an interrupted long rest count as a short rest? According to Jeremy Crawford it doesn't, tho it seems a weird ruling. If yes, then fighters, warlocks, monks, and moon druids will almost never want to take 1st watch.

Yeah, I think it would count - not sure Crawford's rationale on that one.

Re: OOC

DM, can I delay my Maneuver change until the new party makeup is known? I want to swap out something for "Commander's Strike" - even tho it's the maneuver for when there's rogue in the party, it's also pretty good for a paladin with advantage when you need some divine novas right now.

Jak, are you planning on making a squishy ranged blasty warlock, or a tougher melee one?

....Yes? Lol! I tried to make him good at both (though he only has 16 AC and a smidge over 40 hit points so not super-tanky or anything). But he should be able to hit and do some decent damage in melee and at ranged I think. I too am not sure with 2 new characters coming in what our party make-up would be and didn't want to have the issue I did with Jak where he wasn't that great in combat most of the time and plinked away with Vicious Mockery (as fun as it was to come up with insults sometimes).
