Yay for melee: Tessa and Morg may have some synergy at level 4 depending on initiative and number of opponents. Also, the tall folk can range over us without any problems ;)

You really want another wild sorcerer in the party? I mean, I'm all for it. The more chaos, the merrier.  :D

I personally make it a point to get as many surges as possible with my own past attempts at wild mages. Sure, it's risky, but it's fun as hell. So far I've been lucky...no fireballs, just butterflies, damage resistance, and a decently friendly unicorn :P

Dwee and Bram had acquired a +1 dagger and a driftglobe. If anyone in the party wants to claim those before they depart I'm sure they'd be willing to at least loan those items to others until they return...

They're both good for PCs without darkvision. Jak is the only current party member without darkvision, so his pick of the two?

The dagger will be useful to Morg if resistance to non-magical weapons is a problem. Later on Zora could get it if she doesn't have darkvision. Tessa, who's probably the most dexterous, and may not be able to draw 2 weapons as an interaction yet, could also probably use a light, finesse, 1-handed, ranged weapon.

Yes, Tessa is currently walking around with a 16 Dexterity, and the dagger would certainly be handy for her to have a backup/secondary weapon.  She may even use it as a primary weapon for a while to take advantage of the +1 property.

I suppose the driftglobe is fine for Jak.

Please welcome our newest addition, Zora Jilkina, to the game!

On the story thread, I'm basically teeing up the 'tell your story' theme as a way for the group to share some of their background details, or even the details of the adventure so far, with our new players as well as the Spire-dwellers (and each other, if you like, since even our non-new players haven't shared everything). Feel free to lie/embellish/tell the whole truth/leave out details as applicable of course =)

This is also a good way for our new PCs to introduce themselves to the story and to the other players, so I'll let this play out for a couple days in real-time before moving the story forward.

Morg's had a bit too much to drink, so Zora'll probably have to reintroduce herself to him again after the next long rest...

I'll try to get a post up tomorrow. I've been suffering a severe lack of inspiration lately, mostly because of midterms. Thankfully things are settling down now, though :)
