Re: Day 7 - Return to Sacred Stone Monastery...?
Savra and her mount alight near the group, after recovering the other mounts who had wandered off. "If we are not to rest here then we'd best continue moving."
The still skittish mounts require some reassurance, but after a few minutes they settle down well enough to once again be led. Abruptly the overcast skies open up, and a brief but substantial shower drenches the group. As they continue moving through the hills, they pass a stone's throw from a solitary tree that smokes as if from a newly quenched fire. The group investigates briefly, but discovers no explanation for why the tree was aflame. Presumably the rainstorm put it out.
"You seem to have bonded with that hippogriff," Savra remarks to Jak as the group continues journeying through the afternoon. She does not look best pleased.
After a few hours of walking, dark shapes appear on the horizon. They quickly resolve into the shapes of two large birds, and presently Huet and another mailed and helmeted knight land amid the travelers astride giant vultures. "Verily, I hath returned," Huet declaimes, making a half-bow from his saddle. "If ye weary travelers be inclined, ye may join me and my companion for a journey via a higher road."
Would anyone would like to do anything other than mount up and head for Feathergale Spire?
Feel free to interact with Savra and/or each other leading up to the tree, during the few hours of walking, or now that Huet has returned.
