Azraile Enters
Since Az doesn't choose a unicorn, Yer chooses Neo Onoma for hir to ride, she is the most beautiful and skilled unicorn. Yaimy chooses the ugliest, Iwin, who also happens to be the fastest and strongest.
Yaimy responds to Az's comment, "It's clear you've never ridden a unicorn, then, fair cat-person. Our journey is long, but our steeds are not slow."
Yaimy says, "Neo Onoma, Iwin, Bassa, if it pleases you to have been chosen for this journey to take these strangers to meet with Reuel, would you follow me?"
The 3 fully saddled unicorns take standing leaps out of their stalls and obediently follow Yaimy into the clearing. Each saddle is sitting strapless on top of the unicorns' backs, balancing without tipping to one side or the other no matter how much weight is put on it. Yaimy helps Liska and then Az into their saddles, then gets in himself. "Stay true to the All-Child, Appa, and make hir reputation great by your deeds."
"And you, son of me. I have spoken." Yer replied ceremoniously. After a respectful moment, Yaimy jumped down, and gave his father a mutually tearful manly hug. Yaimy got back on the horse and turned toward the mountain.
As soon as all the horses were pointing in the same direction, they came alongside each other, and the world blurred.
The mountain remained ahead, not really moving very much, but the landscape around them zoomed by too fast to notice any details. Yet the backs of the horses remained stationary, as if they were standing still. No matter how rapidly the unicorns dipped and jumped from mound to hill, it felt as if they were on level ground the entire time, and momentum seemed to be irrelevant.
Yaimy wondered at the evolution of these creatures and how they came to naturally run through an imaginary temporal-spacial dimension and only phase into this realm of reality when in the exact same position of the run, and excrete all excess momentum into the imaginary-space, thereby giving the rider a momentum-free ride, while creating beautiful fractal patterns on the surrounding flora and fauna of the world through the genetic mutations which naturally occur around such disturbances in imaginary-space. He felt that only a truly beauty-loving creator could've made such a thing. Especially since these creatures were discovered on this planet and it had been unequivocally proven that the planet had remained completely unadulterated by any alien or intelligent organism, including the progenitors of all sapient life in Oner 0 until it was so recently discovered. He marvelled at the idea that this planet was the closest thing to paradise in this Oner, and especially that a nobody who would make no real changes in the world like him had been so utterly blessed to live on this planet his whole life. He was so grateful to the All-Child that this had been the life he was chosen for. He even mused for awhile on his excitement at the idea of meeting the All-Child when he finally died, and how much better that would be than life, yet how much sweeter it would be with long life. His heart swelled for contemplating both possibilities, until he realized how content he was regardless of what happened. While he was thinking all of this, he stuck up conversation with Liska and Az.
"Liska, what are your gods?"
Liska was a little shocked at first, but she listened to her translator say, "what are your gods (idols, loves, joys, meaning of life, greatest fears, etc)" and then she responded, "I'd have to say myself first, but then Az, and then my shipmates. Why do you ask?"
"I love to hear about other people's lives. What is life like on the ship that you sail?"
Liska says, "What would you say, Az?"
