So the hybrid tree can be converted into a magus-stone tree but it revives a trapped sanguine?  Or it only revives them if done the wrong way? What happens if you cut part of the tree away from the hearts?

"It's strange seeing ships from your company all over the place some times.... Doubly strange as an inverter when there ships you didn't destine yourself."

Listing and watching she responds when they are done. "Ok... so what I don't get.... why in the FUCK would anyone be seeking this out to possess it's 'power'... damn, I know she was like your mum or grandmaw or something but that is just plain fucking stupid..... I'm sorry."

If done carefully, a Metaltree can work symbiotically with the Sangwen hearts in this way:
Good Blood from first good heart = GB1 from GH1
From the second good heart = GB2 from GH2
Bad blood from the bad heart = BB from BH

GB1 combines with GB2 to make Bonhemotin
GB1 combines with Metaltree Sap to make Metaltree Salve (super-nutritious healing salve)
Normal human bone marrow is soaked in Metaltree Salve and Bonhemotin to create bucket-loads of blood
Blood is cycled into GH1, GH2 and BH generating the required GB1, GB2 and BB
BB combines with GB2 to make Magus-stone

However it is arranged, this is the only process I can think of to generate Magus-stone with the use of a Metaltree

Regarding Stella, I'd have to re-read the thread first. That should probably wait until after this side project is finished and I have more time.

Kurku says, "I haven't told you the benefit of the object of power. The object of power isn't irrevocably linked to the curse. Once the curse has run its course, and no one is left under the curse, it will fizzle out. When that happens, my clan will return the object to the original clan in order to completely sever its connection to the curse of Leviathan's Lance. The object of power guarantees that those under its power will never lose more than half of their body in a battle. This renders a Sangwen virtually unkillable from battle. Of course, once unconscious, or if injected with malhemotin, they can be killed. That is just one of the benefits of the object of power."

There are many luxuries at Kurku's clan castle. Every kind of luxury you could think of finding at a Sangwen palace. Aflae does notice that Kurku's clan is fairly moralistic and doesn't look down on normal humans.

"Initially they didn't know about it. But they began suspecting. When my father told them, they decided that the truth was too hard to swallow, so they chose to believe what they knew to be false for the sake of their pride and power. Ultimately it was considered a small enough price to pay, by those who stayed. The same as Yani chose."

Kurku answers, "It would be impossible to say. We have 66 known missing clansfolk, and 68 now that we know about Yani and VelAnna's twin. With the curse broken from her side, VelAnna will start by having dreams about her Twin, and once we find her, we'll be able to offer freedom from the curse to her as well. If she accepts our adoption of her, we'll help VelAnna and her Twin to connect for the first time, and hopefully let them know life as Twins if they desire it."

Hums. "And braking the curse will destroy the lance for good so it will stop spreading?" she thinks.

03:29, Today: Aflae rolled 26 using 8d6 with rolls of 3,3,2,6,5,1,1,5.  Renaissance Scientist [8/8].

She dose her best to explain the how things exist in in many places at once, but are existing in once place.... though maybe exist in no places at all... space is relitive, and may not exist in the way we understand... all space may just be in one point... ect ect....  using how it feels inside a portal as a frame of reference, because that is such a STRONG feeling in a portal. Things she's learned from messing with portals and Unimagus research.

Basicaly tries to explain that:

If this is true one could be used to find the location of others who haven't been located, even if not true everything she hurd least links that if they aren't linked like THAT .... they ARE linked.... there should be way to divinate the others through just one.

04. Aflae and the Blood Feud

Aflae begins to do her science thing and explains her idea of tracing the locations of those under the curse.

Kurku responds, "There are a few known ways to do this. One involves tracing the links through the curse. But to do that, you have to go through the being controlling the curse. It is best to go through the least powerful entity with that control. In this case, that being is a few steps below Leviathan, but is still too powerful for us to directly challenge.

"Even if we could defeat it, we'd still have to overcome the object of power. I won't release information about that object to anyone outside of my clan. It would be too dangerous. But I will let you know that tracing the location of those empowered by it is impossible for anyone except the highest ranking member of the clan which owns it. That person is the woman who won the Twin Challenge. Her name is Polyglot.

"Polyglot has been particularly difficult to track, and we aren't sure why. We're fairly certain she is hiding in some Oner unconnected to these, because we do have a vial of her blood and it stubbornly refuses to be affected by all tracing spells. The last known whereabouts of Polyglot are a Humagus guild outpost on the outer surface of Pskaena's planetary shell. Being Sangwen, it is unsafe for us to seek her in their territory. Our non-Sangwen agents have all failed so far."

"That is also something only the owner of the object could do. When we attempted it, the one sending the message was killed by a sudden attack of bursting aneurisms that tore both of his hearts to shreds. That wouldn't normally kill a Sangwen, but it did kill him. I should've known better than to let it be attempted, but I was foolish and eager to end the curse."

OOC: A message like that threatens the object of power because it would lose people who are affected by its power, and it also threatens the demons who are energized by the suffering the curse causes and who claim ownership of the dead who died under the curse. They'd all fight to keep their influence.

"Do you know anyone who has used Unimagus to create there own Oner? It could be used to locate anyone with the curse.... I would use StellaLand but I don't think it can see spiritual presences being it was created via Balur use, and I'm a ways off from using Unimagus that well.... I was kinda in the middle of practicing it and Formagus when this all came up...... well that and looking for ways to improve my body so I can be a better mage." She rubs the back of the neck "Though I could make myself part angel but you would have to be like a god of magus to make yourself an angel because from what I can tell using science instead of magic to look at things..... angels are made of magus." don't mind sharing this because is half telling val what she has been up to as the same time, and don't mind admitting she's been doing potentially stupid things >.>  because hell taking risks is being stupid sometimes.

"Oh I suppose I should tell you while trying to find a way to get an unlimited source of good and bad blood I found a way to recreate an imprisoned sanguine from it's blood. Maybe that can be used to free some wrongfully imprisoned people?" Now knows it can be done with a single heart cell, but not sure if anyone else has done it with blood. "It kinda freaked my out when i tried to grow blood in a box and the box busted open to a growing person in it.... I learned my lesson, no experimenting like that anymore!" o.o

"You are right that it would be done through Magus, but this is where the problems I mentioned arise. When you are up against a Magus user too much more powerful than you are, you just can't win. Worse, those entities that have minds of their own and would stand against us, aren't purely magus users at all. They operate on the spirit plane, but they affect the physical world. Where a curse exists, certain microbial lifeforms flourish. Those micro-organisms have profound effects on their hosts - us. They also affect large populations of people, and it was our battles with them that brought about one of the first Sangwen Hunts. You don't mess with those things without a guaranteed win.

"As for freeing trapped Sangwen, whenever we come across a Magusstone artifact, we find out who is imprisoned, and why. If the reasons are just, we leave well enough alone. But if unjust, we seek justice."

If I can get some help verifying hearts brought to me are ligitimtly gained and they are not created in some twisted way... I can take a good heart and two bad ones and make a device that produces both types of blood and magus stones theroedicly.... I've yet to test it but all simulations say it will work."

Kurku says, "Let me warn you to be very very careful when dealing with Wizards and Magustone creation devices. The reason that not many people have the kind of bracelet that Yani had - its called a jumper bracelet - is because once Wizards discovered that they were powered like that, they began dismantling them and recombining them into their own personal Magustone generating tools. If word gets out that you have a device like that, people will come to take it by force. Very cunning, very old, and extremely Magus-skilled people. I don't think you could resist them, even with all of your considerable firepower. When people want power, getting more power doesn't make them content with what they have. It just makes them want even more. Especially Wizards."

I wasn't sure others had figured out such means, thought it could ease tension.... that's disappointing.... maybe I can figure out a way one day with StellaLand to artificiality create magus stone and Bonhemotin" She don't like there is so much war and fighting going on.

While they were chatting, they were walking down hallways to take VelAnna to begin her therapy etc. As they were walking and talking, two women who were walking in step came and joined them. Kurku said, "Aflae, VelAnna, let me introduce you to Masa and La Monsh, AKA Masala, my wife." The three of them spoke as if with one voice, "Together we are Masala Kurry."

MK continued, "I can tell you wish for peace. There is a prophecy that after the collapse and rebirth of our Oner, the child of the lowest slave will remove every curse and end every war. There is hope, but permanent peace can only come after the Curse is broken. In the meantime, we have had eons of peaceful coexistence throughout history from time to time.

"There have been 3 ways to end war:
1) Might makes right - crush the evil ones (becoming evil)
2) Right uses might - defend the innocent
3) Love them all - self-sacrifice to change the hearts and minds of the evil ones

"Most people choose 1, civilized people choose 2, very few people choose 3."

They hand Aflae a cameracube to view at her convenience, ((OOC: newest post in Lore and Oddities)).

"Well if you think you could find Polyglot, we would have a good chance at defeating the curse once and for all. Even quicker than calling all Sangwen affected by the curse, if Polyglot - as rightful owner of the clan who owns the object - pledges her clan's allegiance to us, everyone still technically in the clan who hasn't formally renounced their status in the clan will be relieved of the symptoms of the curse until the clan leaves us or each individual pledges.

"But since no one has yet returned alive, we couldn't ask you to attempt it."

Aflae can return to one of her other pursuits, hunt Polyglot, or hunt VelAnna's twin.

The one of MK says, "Sorry, which one are you hunting? Polyglot or VelAnna's twin?"

After the response,

Spoiler for Polyglot: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
MK hands Aflae a pendant with a single drop of Sangwen blood inside a diamond with gold wire wrapped around the diamond. "This pendant will guide you toward Polyglot. It should lead you to the next clue you need every step closer to finding her that you get."

Spoiler for VelAnna's twin: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
MK surrounds VelAnna, placing all 6 of their hands on her. They chant for a few minutes in and unintelligible language. Aflae sees Formagus (Blood), Verimagus (Mind, Love, Spirit, Soul), Unimagus (Dimension), Imgus (Clear, Light) energies swirling around them all. MK asks for a drop of VelAnna's blood, which she supplies. They place the drop of blood on a pair of glasses, and hand the glasses to Aflae. "You'll be able to see a path to VelAnna with these."

VelAnna had been lost deep in thought, processing everything that had been happening. She looks at Aflae and smiles as she says, "I can't tell you how much it would mean to me if you found my sister and brought her safely to me."

If Aflae is going for VelAnna's tiwn, MK surrounds VelAnna, placing all 6 of their hands on her. They chant for a few minutes in and unintelligible language. Aflae sees Formagus (Blood), Verimagus (Mind, Love, Spirit, Soul), Unimagus (Dimension), Imgus (Clear, Light) energies swirling around them all. OOC: The original spoiler had a typo at the end. The glasses lead the way to VelAnna's twin.

Wearing the glasses, they reveal a faint and thin trail to one of the Portals in the Portal room.

If asked what her idea is she would pull her harptar out and let it open up revealing the portal generators in it. "Both me and ValAnna are fairly good at opening portals.... would just going try and hone in on her and open a portal near by."

Otherwise she just heads off through the portal after some farewell hugs and promising to do her best and all.
