07. Salphron's Doom
A pale Leprechaun dressed in tie-dyed business suit, whacks the soul gem with a stick topped with a giant rat's skull and strangely, a fairly large collection of gemstones that looks like the mana-stones of his home universe, but many somehow different. The Soul Gem beeps and flashes red once.
22:46, Today: Narrator, for the NPC Necromancer, rolled 3 using 1d6 with rolls of 3. Necromancer [1/40] resist control.
22:45, Today: Narrator, on behalf of Salphron, rolled 5 using 2d6 with rolls of 1,4. World Forger & Necromancy/Spirit.
Salphron just barely manages to succeed, but he does succeed. Not on a scale, but just as aimed for as if it were pass or fail in this instance. OOC: please see your CS
As soon as the flesh golem is completed, the Soul Gem beeps and blinks green light. Tendrils shoot out from the Soul Gem, and the whole Golem shrinks down into a little metal ball with the Soul Gem. When the Gem is tapped by anyone or anything else, unless by Salphron's will, it does nothing. But if by his will it is tapped, it opens up and the Necromancer in a Flesh Golem comes out, ready to do his will. It can be used as if a lvl 40 creature, but will use up its life as it is used up in battle or in double pumped spell casting. When it reaches 0, the Soul Gem will implode. What exactly that will mean, Salphron is uncertain.
After Salphron deploys the WoodWideWeb Necromancer AKA WWW Nec [40/0], it obediently leads the way through the traps in the tomb, walking aimlessly until given a destination.
Once told to reveal the location of the artifacts, it fights internally vehemently against Salphron's will, but ultimately obeys.
All told, there are 2 Undead 30' Anacondas (15/0); 39 Shadowmen (10/0); 13 Skeletal mages [5/0]; 85 Zombie Vungtra (3/0); and a Loyal Zombie Cult (661/0)
He obtains 5 Booby-trapped chests that will require living sacrifices to open, and an undidentified Fire Mana Gem ((naming scheme finished - waiting on revelation of the nature of the mana stone when it is first used & identified to reveal the name)) in the shape of a rose.
There is one final object he points out - a scepter he calls a Bloodstone Staff [1/0]. It has the skull of a horse-sized Dragon on top, with a strange reddish stone ((Magustone)) for one tooth, and a hollow spike on the bottom of the staff. The inscription on the side, according to the WWW Nec reads, "The blood of my enemies empowers me." He says that it has limited power to aid spells, but is re-powered by stabbing it in fallen victims. It absorbs blood from those who died violently to produce powerful spells.
EDIT: He says the tomb is held aloft by a few Magus created Portal projectors ((like Aquatorus if you remember that)). They are embedded in the central stone Orb in the Temple, and in 3 identical Orbs placed in strategic places around the WWW planet.
