0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

Uses her spirit sense to look at him to see if he's got the alt time line souls of people here then...... if he dose she casts a mass spell to let people see there own alt souls. "Not only has he been conducting research on how to use Balur.. but every time Balur 'reset' things you can see for yourselves how he's been taking advantage of that." and then cast a spell to let everyone see ALL his souls for a very short time like she had that one moment that had her in shock at how evil this guy is.

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

In reply to Narrator (msg # 7):

Bozon started up playing a mocking dirge on the igil, making fun of the Emperor who was so upset about perceived regicide that he had ignored that he'd tried to commit that crime himself. The king who was knowingly a clown expressing his low opinion of the 'ruler' who could not see what a fool he was.

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

18:18, Today: Narrator, on behalf of Aflae, rolled 41 using 7d8 with rolls of 4,3,7,8,8,8,3.  Show all alt souls.

18:18, Today: Narrator, on behalf of Aflae, rolled 23 using 7d8 with rolls of 3,6,1,6,3,1,3.  Show their own alt self souls.

15:41, Today: Narrator, on behalf of Bozon the Burstbarian, rolled 1530 using 122d24.  Dirge against Pontorna. Sacrificed 30 from stored mana, enhanced by igil and by armband, emphasized by nonviolent truth-to-power

Aflae finds that one of her Divergents (Faela) does have some skill with unimagus, and her teammate the Summer Knight, is an expert at unimagus. Both noticed something, but aren't certain what it was. As per her suggestion, Faela goes back to the border and will attempt to break the barrier. But the Summer Knight won't rest untill Tine is safe.

Aflae is able to communicate the image of the alternate souls to five people, but quite a few are capable of seeing them on their own, so most of the people in the room see any of their own Divergent souls. All told, Aflan, Diakon, Reuel, 4 soldiers and a few others see the spirits of their Divergent selves.

Pontorna points to the soldier who sees the most (9) and says, "Soldier, how do you feel about the fact that I have taken the spirits of your Divergent selves?"

The soldier responds, "My Emperor, I am pleased that the previous iterations of my soul have been used to benefit your most excellent self. Now that I am your liegeman, I know that from now on, the spirits of my family & I will be free and not subjected to your use against our will. However, if it will benefit my countrymen, I offer you the use of my spirit of my own free will."

Pontorna adds, "I expected nothing less from you, good soldier."

Then Aflae causes the same number in the room to see all of the spirits Pontorna has eaten. Pontorna himself magnifies the spell to show everyone present. No one is shocked, though a few seem to be uncomfortable at the images.

Pontorna explains, "I don't keep knowledge of the source of some of my power, that is to say, the spirits I consume, from my people. How would it be if someone came into my court and suddenly announced that I was consuming countless spirits? Such a revelation could cause political unrest. I'm not a fool. I have prepared for this for centuries, I never consume the spirits of my subjects or allies, and you are not the first to make this revelation. Nice try though."

Then Bozon plays his igil and mimes his dirge. He feels a power overcome him, and finds himself even more enthusiastic and creative than he was before the pirate king. He even finds himself lipsyncing to words that are magically flowing from the igil:
The King would kill the King
  Failing to kill the King
The King would kill the King
  Unless the King would sing
A third of the Court looks very nervous, a third of the Court breaks into chuckles and a third of the Court guffaws. Pontorna himself even smiles at the irony of the situation. King Joe can't contain his laughter.

Joe declares, "Now that was worth the price I paid for you, jester!"

Pontorna looks at Joe with slight annoyance, but says, "I grant you your life, Jester."

Team Royal appears in a balcony on the left. The Grey Wizard of Team Alpha says, "Enough of this! Pontorna, spirit stealing necromancy is against the Accords of the Humagus Guild. Therefore I do this:"

He seems to vanish. The Grey Wizard teleported behind Pontorna and used a Unimagus Chaos curse to randomize the cells in Pontorna's body. Pontorna falls to the ground as a pile of pink mush, the Grey Wizard laughs loudly and grabs the fallen staff. 80 members of the Court begin to attack just as the Grey Wizard's laugh turns deep. The Team Alpha White Wizard yells, "No!!" as he casts a spell at the new Pontorna. The laugh returns to the Grey Wizard's normal voice and he teleports back to the group. The White Wizard grabs the staff from him, and says in a deep voice, "Guards, suspend him."

A green light envelops the Grey Wizard and he is immobilized and unable to use magic.
The Summer Knight and King Samhradh seem to disappear. Aflan, Flana, Lafane and the Team Royal Grey Wizard prepare to attack Pontorna (in the body of the Team Alpha White Wizard). They each have weaponry comparable to Aflae's best crafted weapons. The 40+ guards in the room are ready to attack.

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

Still playing his igil and letting the astonishing creativity flow through him as it would, Bozon stayed close by the two imprisoned children to mind their safety with the impending fighting upon us all.

Being from outside of the Oners, Hergot (and his world) had never experienced any of Balur's resets. The talk of divergent selves was gibberish to his ears. Though Joe's approval seemed oddly heartening, for some reason. Much like when the muse had come upon him in the pirate king's throneroom.

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

Short post to gather a bit more info. I'll follow up soon once you reply.

As Bozon approaches the children, Holy fire plays with the notes vibrating out from his igil, and the green light seems to bend away from him. When he gets closest to both of them as possible, the area around him suddenly jumps into the green light field, pushing it away from the children all at once. The green light field surrounds them all, but isn't affecting them. Jen screams and distortions fly out in waves from her head. Bozon and Tine both feel a slight headache, but the vibrating distortions stop at the boundary edge of the green light. An overzealous mage guard sends a ball of fire at the three. The fireball bounces off of the outside of the green light field without touching the green light, rebounding to the shocked guard and consuming him.

Aflae sees that the green fields are areas completely void of Magus and Balur. There are innumerable other such areas in a hexagonal grid pattern walling around the room at 20' intervals. The drones check out the nearest, and there seem to be non-magus non-Balur permanent microscopic portals with no visible reflective or projecting machine to explain the fields.

OOC: the fields are controlled by the positioning of the portals according to a vastly complicated field interference pattern created by the precise positioning of the portals. The portals can't be directly affected by magic of any sort, and can't be moved physically. Joe manipulates them himself (even though he makes a show of commanding the guards to do it), by warping the space around the room. To change this field effectively, you'd have to be able to calculate the precise warping of the space field around the room required to alter the interference pattern in such a way that nobody was torn to shreds accidentally by shifting spacial anomalies. Aflae could determine this truth through intense time-compressed verimagus meditation in the Sideways.

Is Aflae trying to push back, knock out, injure or kill the guards with her attack?

Bozon was grateful to be back with Tine & Jen, and that they could move again. But both hands were occupied with the igil, so hugging was out of the question. He wasn't sure what Jen had screamed, but it felt very peculiar vibrating through him.

Still playing, the big clown crouched down to be closer to their eye level, and made faces trying to express his concern for them and comfort them if they were (very understandably) scared. Were they all right?

Pushback/knock out....

She will work on the calculations then if she can do that.

"What ever he has promised... what ever his plans are they can be accomplished with out such high prices.... He claims to be a caretaker of the souls of those you care for but you think he truly cares who's souls he puts to the flame?"

Has one of her drones project images and recordings of the times, he's maddenly laughed about his possessions of souls, there ownership, there memories, there ect ect ect.... how there nothing but power to him....  how the soul of one of his most trusted allies was nothing to him.... getting cooperation from her alternate selves to get any memories they possessed of such ramblings they have of him too projected.

Her goal here more to try and turn the mages and dragons agenst him than his whole kingdom, make him lose his most powerfull alies...  or maybe even add more to getting Jeo to turn on him.

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

Seeing what was going on shi imdeatly hid.....

Seeing all the souls tied to this ... monster is horrible ... and shi didn't know much what to do..... shi could only think of one plan.... and it was a dumb one.... For now shi would stalk the necromancer waiting for a chance that he was distracted, trusting this forms instincts and the flame for when to strike.

OH BOY.... this is dumb all right... and hopefully shi can leap away quickly enough... were-creatures can move awfull damn fast if they really get there blood a pumping... hopefully shi can be fast enough to get in, and get out with out getting garbed by him... >.>

The small size of this form could actually be useful....

As for what shi dose and what it looks like....

Well shi's currently in form that looks like a small cat sized quadrupedal creature with pure snow white fur with cyan stripes in it... it's fur is EXTRAORDINARILY fluffy and vaguely luminescent. To the point it looks like several balls of fluff in a vaguely cat like shape... and is generally adorable as hell.

Shi leaps out onto Pontorna hir mouth opening up with several razor sharp teeth, that quickly become encased in gold as the gold spreads over.... well the spreading mouth... A mouth that spreads from one side of the head to the other as the mouth opens way to wide with way to many teeth....  The gold spreading over the creatures face smothing down the fluff as it forms an angelic mask with a large jade eye in the forehead and several smaller jade eyes all over it. Then the mask (and possably hir whole body) becomes ingulfed in the all childs flames as shi takes a bite out of the air  (or where the spirits where swirling about for those that could still see it if the spell was still working) and mualed that air good, as her inter body glowed brightly strands of holy light lashing about in the air as that fluffy fur goes wild. Before shi goes back to normal and jumps away and running like hell...

*Using Kinaari Royal [4/6] to tap into the suns lay lines and pumping it 3 times. (more if she got some back from eating)
Angelic Gauntlet {1/1} (pumping... it's an item so i know she can pump it with out hurting hir)
Echo of the First Word {1/2}  (pumping it if she can safely do so with out passing out)
   "Write/Erase" [1/1]

Shi tries to use hir powers and the fact shi can interact with spirits, the broken agnelic armor pice, the holy powers of the sacred form, and the flame of the all-child to sever ("Erase") the conection Pontorna is using to trap the souls, setting as many free as shi can. Shi has no real concern for hir own health in this so will take in more power from the sun than shi can handle if it means setting more souls free.

((and because you will probably ask, her only concern at the moment is setting those souls free... not hurting or weakening Pontorna... figured you would ask sense she's trying to use the flames =p ))

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

Those present:
Bozon, Tine, Jen
Aflae, Azraille, Aflan*, Diakon, Reuel*, a Grey Wizard (in green light), King Samhradh, Summer Knight*, Flana*, Faela, Lafane*, a White Wizard, a Grey Wizard*,

Below: Patrus Cosmodomini*, Auricle, BVelAnna, Nafael, a White Wizard*, a Grey Wizard*

*have crow on them

King Joe
Pontorna
Giant Kami (like a rock golem) taking up entire side wall behind the throne
VI Joe
Negotiator Balur Crystal
100 or so various* people of King Joe's court, including soldiers, mages, archers, gunmen, golems, etc

Jen and Tine hug Bozon in ways that don't impede his movement too much. Tine looks at the balcony where his father was and says, "We should help my dad!"

Jen tells him, "He's probably here for you, Tine. We need to leave, and by getting to safety we'll help him."

Just then King Samhradh and the Summer Knight appear (near one of the green fields' nodes along the walls), the Knight is manipulating the field when it goes haywire. Bozon and kids remain safe within their green-light bubble, but throughout the room green lights and distortions appear moving about violently and at random. They obliterate Lafane just after she kills about 25 or more of the guards and soldiers with her drones. The Summer Knight looks panicked and works faster than the eye can follow, but he is torn into hundreds of pieces by temporal-spacial fissures interspersed with green light.

Seeing that his compatriot is dead, King Samhradh runs to Jen and Tine. The Holy fire licks out toward the King, and the bubble extends itself around him.

Tine and Jen embrace King Samhradh as they make their way together toward the exit. However fast Bozon tries to hurry, the bubble moves at its own pace, forcing the 4 of them to keep slow pace with it.

The Kami kills the Grey Wizard from team Royal by swatting him like a bug. Although he defends himself and about 10,000 lbs of rock break off of the Kami and fall to the ground as useless rubble, the Wizard doesn't survive.

Pontorna himself manages to send a beam of focused agony and destructive force from his staff into the minds of Aflan and Flana (killing them) before Azraile bites a chunk out of his collected souls.

09:02, Today: Narrator, on behalf of Aflae, rolled 122 using 9d26 with rolls of 17,21,17,14,16,6,15,10,6.  Shoot them back - enhanced by guns and armband
((In a battle, only one cliche can be used at a time))
Aflae's blast pushes most of the rest of the guards against the walls and leaves them unable to do anything for a few moments. Some of the guards seem to listen carefully to Aflae's speech against Pontorna.

09:14, Today: Narrator, on behalf of Azraile, rolled 150 using 18d16 with rolls of 7,8,16,12,11,6,6,6,16,5,1,13,3,2,14,9,12,3.
The flames cooperate with Azraile's emancipation of a few of the souls around Pontorna, but they refuse to allow Azraille to use up the gauntlet, whispering, "You'll need this later."

He looks at Azraille murderously, and a bright light forms in his eyes. But then with a look of surprise he seems to lose sight of hir (Az is now engulfed in holy flames and invisible to everyone except Bozon, Aflae and Reuel, though they don't know this).

The freed spirits are all covered in the Holy fire and disappear (some are ecstatic, some at peace and some seeming apprehensive) except one. That one who remains is Pon. Pontorna is no more, Torna remains, and everyone's seems to just know this to be true. Pon's flaming spirit speaks to Azraille (who is now in the spirit realm), "Thank you for freeing me from my nemesis, strange thing. In my next life I will name my familiar after you. What shall I call it?"

As shi is speaking with Pon, the Holy flames clearly want Azraille to gather the disembodied spirits, but not to do anything else to Torna for now.

King Joe shouts, "ENOUGH!" and the green lights immobilize everyone's feet, hands and other weaponry, while blue light (I think it was blue that did this) prevents everyone from using any magic, but allows them to still speak.

Joe continues, "There will be no more desecration of this Court today! I will not tolerate it! We have business to attend to."

Torna announces, "Creature, I know you are in here. The moment I find you, I'm eating you!" Looking at Teams Alpha and Royal, Torna declares, "All of you have earned my wrath, and I will be saving your bodies and spirits for maximum torment before I add you to my collection."

Seeing that the situation is under control he says, "Bring the negotiator Balur forward. It is time to finish this and unseal the time-freeze on the outside world. Diakon, I trust you completed the spell as planned?"

The blue and green lights around Diakon go dark and he replies, "I have completed the spell."

Torna continues, "Good. Once Balur is seen to, you may make your wish."

The container around the Negotiator Balur is opened and Torna addresses the node, "Do you understand your position?"

"Yes. I will obey your demands. There is no other choice."

"Good."

Bozon and friends continue slowly toward the exit, ignored by Torna, King Joe and the rest of the Court. Bozon gets the feeling that he doesn't need to continue playing the igil any more. The safety bubble will continue to lead them to the exit in its own time.

Aflae's Holy flames seem to want to remain a secret for now.

Those who remain:

Aflae, Azraille, Diakon, Reuel*, a Grey Wizard (in green light), King Samhradh, Faela, a White Wizard

Shi tried to avoid the question about hir name. "Do you know what his plan is?" to Pon. Shi really didn't know to manipulate spirits so just tried calling out to them and calling them over hoping addressing, and getting there attention would draw them over.

If that don't get all of them... then tries using sucubus powers with her kinarri powers.  Sucubus draw the souls out of peoples bodies and use them in fucked up ways....maybe purified she can used them to guide a soul, and kinarri have spirit powers besides talking to spirits and using there gifts.... shi's just never tried anything like this before... x.x

lots of trying new things as of late. >.<

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

With no idea what the heck was going on in this mad battle, Bozon tried to keep his thoughts on watching out for the kids. And gladness at seeing King Samhradh re-united with Tine and safe, though Summer Knight's fate left a nasty taste in the clown's throat. He remembered the man back when he'd first been re-inflated, who had looked forward to a chance to 'play' with him. But he couldn't be certain that was the same member of Samhradh's court.

Stashing the igil back in the carpetbag he carried over one shoulder, the big clown stayed close to the trio of Elfs inside their safety bubble, making his/their way towards the exit as it permitted.

He did wonder, overhearing the Balur crystal speak, if anyone had let Balur know about Een having taken up the mantle of Goddess of Rulab and how that might change the crystal's situation for the better.

That reminds me......kinda important before things move one..... What exactly is the Rulab in her arm doing to the Balur in her arm?  You said it was no longer consuming it and was some how enhancing it?  Details now that she's a little more observant with the meditation in sideways?

If it's become a major enhancer of balur now then it might be a good idea to release the seal on her arm and use her shard-fused powers to spread balur and the rulab through out the intire room and onto the Balur shard.

Let it know Rulab is changing and give it a power up from the balur inhancing rulab inside her.

If other alts of her are shard-fordged and learned to manipulate balur particals in the air they can do the same......

If this is a good idea and she can't disable the field, and it prevents her from using balur too and not just magus.... then she can cut her arm open.... rip part of it out... and throw a non esenchal part of it out at the balur negotiator.

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

Back in the Sideways, Aflae has an idea to forge a Balur device which will disable the portal (or whatever else if I misremembered) that King Joe is using to generate the blue and green fields. That way, even though she is immobilized and can't use magic of any sort, she can take the object with her out of the Sideways into the regular world and then spit the forged Balur device out of her mouth and out of the field. If that was to complicated to follow, just know that after a few minutes, everyone will be free from the blue and green fields... But not yet.

Pon begins to respond to Azraille, "Well first he wanted to ensure Balur couldn't be used by anyone but his authorized people..."

Meanwhile Torna says, "Balur, from now on you will only obey the will of the people of my Empire who are authorized to use you."

Pon continues, "He wants to limit its spread so it doesn't consume all matter."

Torna continues, "You may continue to spread to no more than 25% of the total mass of the Oners you currently occupy."

Balur replies, "So be it, master."

Pon continues, "Really that's it... He just wants to have the power. Well it's time for me to reincarnate, so I'll be on my way now if you don't have any more questions."

Torna says, "Diakon, you may have your wish."

Diakon takes Torna's staff and bins himself to Torna's wish-limiting oath-wish, then says, "I wish to have three more wishes before Torna reacts."

King Joe laughs, "Yes, master." Torna freezes.

Diakon continues, "I wish that all of the people trapped by their oath-wishes be freed to die naturally and no longer bound in pain."

The holes in the ceiling all open and everyone who was bound falls to the ground. With their skulls already removed, most die instantaneously.

Diakon continues, "I wish all of the spirits bound to Torna be released so that he is the only one remaining."

Tor separates from Na and Na loses all other spirits he had collected.

Diakon finishes, "Na... You are only one person now. I have to admit I betrayed you already. When I completed the time-slowing spell, I reversed the polarity... We are the ones in slowed time and the outside world is hundreds of years beyond us by now. For my final wish, I accept Grandel's Shackles. If you are willing, Joe, I will take the mantel of Djin."

King Joe laughs hysterically, "YES!! I AM FREE!!."

King Joe's face shifts into Diakon's resemblance and Diakon's face resembles King Joe.

In Diakon's old body, Joe says, "For my first wish, Diakon, get us out of here! And take the young Joe thing with us. I want the power to escape." They disappear.

OOC: Diakon didn't do what I thought he was going to do... Characters have minds of their own sometimes.

IC:
Na is impotently outraged as he screams.

Aflae's Balur device activates ((if you are willing)), all blue and green fields disperse and everyone is free to move about as they wish.

Still, his priority is the safety of the children and getting them out of here, unless King Samhradh decides otherwise.

For the purposes of wrapping up this story line, I'll go ahead and finish the scene - with Azraille and Aflae as NPCs - if Azraille returns and would like to roleplay this scene himself, he is welcome to, and his actions will be retconned, though Bozon's fate will remain the same, even if it requires Leprechaun intervention

Pon and Tor greet one another as time slows for all disembodied spirits.

Azraille greets Tor, "How can we defeat Na?"

Tor says, "Strategically you're outgunned and outnumbered. Normally I'd say guerrilla combat techniques would be ideal, but give the environment, you'll need to be quick and focus all firepower on Na. If he was alone against the entire rescue party, he'd still probably win."

The White Wizard Az had called reaches the group, "Excuse me, I could't help but overhear. Na's death is inevitable, because he killed me. There was a prophecy over me, 'Your murderer is murdered on the day's day.'"

Pon interjected, "But given prophetic timescales, that could be anywhen between now to a year from now."

The Wizard shrugged, "But look at the crow on his back."

The crow on Na's back was larger than all the others. it was ancient and skeletal, with a ragged pelt of more feathers than it should have, and bones protruding from its wings. It's legs were shackled to Na's wrists, and its claws dug into his back and shoulders. Its bleak stare and gaping blood-soaked beak were like a car accident. It was bloated and had a telepathed stink of moist rotting flesh. And it was cawing loudly - calling the spirits of those murdered by Na.

Azraille felt the armband directing hir actions, and shi followed the lead of the holy fire. First she spoke in a soft call that all disembodied spirits could hear, "Move toward the light." and Holy Fire appeared near every spirit - most moved toward the Fire, but a few answered the caw of the crow on Na's back. As people died in the following moments, shi continued to call them into the light, as the Fire directed.

Faela unleashed a storm of knife missiles - each one of a different nature - all on Na, at the same time that the Grey Wizard and King Samhradh attacked. Na sent a bolt of death toward Faela and Tine, just as a hole opened up in the floor and another Grey Wizard popped out of the hole, accidentally intercepting the bolt of death. Reuel stepped into the path of the other bolt, and said, "Though you strike me down, I live," just before he died, saving Tine.

Patrus Cosmodomini, Auricle, BVelAnna, Nafael, and a White Wizard came out of the hole in the ground. The rest of the room erupted in violence. Patrus split into 1000 shards of deadly metal and tore through most of the court before the Kami swatted the White Wizard in his group. Seeing the threat, Patrus focussed his firepower on the Kami whom he was able to completely avoid until the Kami split its arm into thousands of smaller tendrils of levitating and flying rock and debris.

Auricle, BVelAnna and Nafael were holding their own, when Na sent another round of death bolts out, one heading straight for Auricle. One of Patrus' flying drones intercepted the bolt, and they all fell to the floor, lifeless.

Auricle psychically screamed in emotional pain - her father's death triggering the alternate-timeline memory of her years as an evil empress of pain. She cried out, "No more!"

Aflae's Holy Fire armband blazed out as she said, "Lay down your weapons!" and everyone's weapons fell to the ground or became lifeless.

Na laughed, bursting into unholy flame. Na said, "Aflae, do you remember being experimented on? I enjoyed that!"

Aflae's anger got the better of her for a moment and she lashed out with her armband to strike at Na, causing the Holy Fire to fizzle out.

Na became a shower of 100 thick spiderlegs which flew from his position to right in front of Aflae where he reformed with a grin on his face.

Suddenly the cacophony of crow cawing could be heard, and a visible storm of angry ghosts burst into the room from all sides - thousands swirling around and all focussing their anger and hatred at Na. The air around him became so cold that his body froze solid. One of the angry spirits dislodged a small tile from the ceiling which dropped on Na's head, shattering him into chunks and shards.

The spirit of Na continued to laugh, overheard by Azraille, "You fools! By murdering me, you've bound yourselves to me as my slaves! Your power is now mine!" Then, eyeing the Balur Negotiator, he began moving toward it as he said, "I think I'll try that body on for size."

Azraille whipped hir angelic gauntlet at Na, and the armour blazed with Holy fire as it grappled at Na. Na deflected the attack by teleporting next to the Balur.

Scord chose that exact moment and popped out of the Sideways, placing his hand on the crystal while chanting. His armband blazed into Holy Fire and melted into the Balur. Suddenly the Balur blazed into Holy Fire, and spoke in the spirit realm, "Hi Na! It gets better, but you don't get this body. I do. Now Balur can experience life as a human, and I can be with my wife until the end of this Oner, directing the benign and beneficial use of my body to anyone who uses it for good." Scord-Balur becomes a :P emoji and rolls around.

Azraille whips her angelic gauntlet at Na again, confining his spirit to one location as she drains away his evil body-transfer powers.

The Holy Flames of Scord-Balur sever the chains and bonds to all other spirits attached to Na until he is alone.

Azraille says to him, "Go toward the light."

Na snarls and lunges for Azraille, but the Flames engulf him and he disappears.

With no weapons, no King and no Emperor reappearing in a new body, the remaining people in the court hold up their arms in surrender. Except the Kami who simply rumbles, "My obligation is ended. Please leave this room so that I may sleep."

Smart people don't argue with stones, so everyone left toward the outer gates and the edges of the time-bubble. When they reach the edge of the time-altered zone, they discover that the time-bubble has burst. They are now hundreds of years into the future of when they entered the area.

The White Wizard explains the situation to everyone, and adds, "You may choose to leave and enter into the strange world around us where most of the people you knew who don't live for hundreds of years, are probably dead, or you may choose to attempt a journey back in time. I can't guarantee perfect success, but you will at least be close to when we left the flow of history. But once you leave this area, your decision is final."

There was some debate among a number, but slowly some started to leave the area and see what the future held, while others drew near to the White Wizard.

Those who remain:
Bozon, Tine, Jen, King Samhradh
Aflae, Azraille, a Grey Wizard, Faela, a White Wizard, Auricle, BVelAnna, Nafael
Scord-Balur Crystal
various people of the court, including soldiers, mages, archers, gunmen, golems, etc

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

Much-daunted by magical conflict at a level which was only in legends on his world (at least to normal folk), the big clown stayed close to Tine and Jen, terrified that the mad emperor would kill one of them.

Learning that they were centuries in the future brought him close to wanting to blubber like a child himself. Not seeing his wife, his children, his court and kingdom again because he'd been popped for someone's amusement he could face. Not seeing them again because he'd been stranded in (to him) the far future was much, much, much harder to come to terms with emotionally.

Wordless, he looked at Jen, then at King Samhradh, pleading in his eyes. He might have been given his freedom rather than being a slave, but he still felt that he belonged to the King and to Tine as the boy's plaything and friend. It tore at his heart not knowing which path they were choosing. Would he have the strength to go with them, if they chose the future? He didn't know. His heart hurt too much.

0G. What can the matter be? (Bozon & Aflae)

Bozon, Tine, Jen, King Samhradh, Auricle & Azraile all return back in time.

Most of people of the court remain in this future, but some return to the past.

Faela, Nafael, the Grey Wizard & White Wizard and Balur-man all choose to remain in the present, not to return to the past.

BVelAnna will follow Aflae wherever she decides to go.

Scord-Balur answers Aflae, "Een-Rulab and I will continue to work for people as Rulab has done, but with a conscience. I won't be used to cause harm, and if I catch someone using me for evil, they'll be cut off from using me from then on. I'll work with people to extend life, improve technology (electronics will work again) and generally just be helpful to humanity until this Oner collapses. Once that happens, Een & I will hopefully be able to move on together. But I can't go back in time, so if you do go back, remember, you're only at the beginning of the trouble with Rulab and the failure of Balur. Een won't have possessed Rulab yet, and Balur well still be its old self."

"So If I go back in time the Rulah in me will start attacking my body again? And Balur can't be used to hurt people even if there trying to hurt other people?" that is good she guesses but rather frustrating at the same time.... >.>

"What about about Balur in other oners?"
