Hi all, I am travelling for the next 3 weeks and will have less internet access than usual. I will check in when I can. Feel free to NPC Tarpin if you are waiting for a post from me.

When I reply to a thread, I click the 'reply' on the current most player's post right? Normally that would suggest I'd be replying specifically to them, but I'm unsure how to post to a thread in any other way! Haha...

Also, hi.

Roll a perception and decide, compared to Slivan's, if Bleynar saw too. I don't mind.

Woops, was a bit behind over the christmas season.

Could Nomin had called for Clompers on his way to the warehouse?

Re: Life... aurgh..
Clompers has been stabled for the night, Nomin will have to head past the warehouse to the stable and open the door to get Clompers out, costing him two rounds of actions.
Slivan, drawing or sheathing a weapon is a move equivalent action, a free action with the quick draw feat. You can do either as a free action at the same time as moving, I feel that a two weapon fighter would be used to simultaneously drawing or sheathing both swords so your full action for this round is sheathing swords as you moved and then drew your bow at you new location. You'll know that unless your arrows have been especially prepared (say wrapped in cloth and treated with tar or oil) they won't hold a flame (gaining extra damage), if anything sticking them in a fire would weaken the heads bindings (string or glue) and ensure that the ammunition will be destroyed by the impact.
Initiatives, I've found that its best for each player to post when they can, my posts will summarize the round, describe the monsters reactions and open the next round. If anyone has taken the improved initiative feat they are free to substitute it for another feat.

Re: Life... aurgh..
Can clompers just not kick his way through the door provided he can hear Nomin? Horses kick the shit out of walls and fences all the time, especially when threatened or scared. This one is a paladin's trained war mount, though perhaps you could argue he doesn't specifically know the "kick down stable door when called" trick, though that's getting pretty pedantic.

Wood has a hardness of 5, 10 HP per inch of thickness.

The horse does 5-10 damage per kick, averaging 2.5 damage per kick to the wood, two kicks around, averaging 5, meaning he'd be able to kick through even a 4-inch thick door fairly short order (less than a minute).

Barns and stables for mere mules/horses are usually far less sturdily constructed than that. But, you know, this is D&D, so maybe this stable was originally built for T-rexes or something...

Strength to burst check? I can't imagine the dc is high, and horses are quadrupeds if that's worth anything.

Re: Life... aurgh..
Being a quadruped does not help with strength checks (what it does do: helps for carry weight, the tripping/bull rush/overrun special maneuver checks, as well as plays a part about determining whether a creature has "long" or "tall" reach values for attacks and jumping heights).

But being large-sized does. Heavy warhorses have a +8 to their check to bust up doors/walls and other such things.

I didn't want to even get into Strength checks, I had already typed enough. But since you brought it up... :p

A "good" wooden door is DC 18. The horse could bust that shit by taking a 10. A "strong" door, if the builders here decided to put the money and effort into it, is DC 23. So, 15+ needed on a STR check roll. Hoping for that to come up can be risky, so it's "safer" to just kick the damn door down with raw violence.

There's also the fact that when an item loses half its HP, its DC to break is lowered by 2, but, man, I've really typed too much about this now.
