Re: [OOC] The Tavern - For all your chatting needs

Dungeon Master:
I have updated your ledgers. Some of you have a considerable chunk of change you're walking around with. Might want to consider spending it or putting it into gems and stuff before you attract unwanted attention.

Is there a conversion fee?

No. In mean in reality yes but in reality you're not always selling stuff for 1/2 price so I just hand wave away all the margins as evening out in the end.

No matter what you have on you, you definitely have 2,000gp + bloody knivesies money.

Guys? Kraw has 7 CHA and no social skill ranks. Can someone else step up here?

Re: [OOC] The Tavern - For all your chatting needs

Dungeon Master:
OOC: It will require a social interaction roll to get around the search
Diplomacy DC 22
Intimidate DC 17
Bluff DC Varies (opposed by Sense Motive)

I bet their ACs are lower than that.

I got an Intimidate +5. Interestingly enough Favorite Enemy gets me a +2 on Bluff, but not on an Intimidate. If you want me to roll it, I could use some Aid checks, and be ready for a fight if I fail.

Like I said, I was destined to fail on that roll:

22:20, Today: Figus Dva rolled 8 using 1d20+5 with rolls of 3.  Aid on Intimidate.

Wait... Think I still have +2 for masterwork clothes...

Rolling without the assist and... BOOM! Good bless intimidating low cut evening gown!

20:32, Today: Ayeesha rolled 18 using 1d20+9 with rolls of 9.  Intimidate (without assist but with +2 from mwk tool; clothes).

With the +2 for clothes, I would make the Aid attempt.

I'm just glad someone else made the roll and I don't need to try to convince them. I'll leave that to Ayeesha.

I'll still put in a post, because Kyra is curious about something.

Re: [OOC] The Tavern - For all your chatting needs

If I knew the best way to motivate I might suggest they were afraid. Like the phrase "they have more of a reputation as bullies rather than serious law enforcement" might inspire a fight rather than a capitulation.

Re: [OOC] The Tavern - For all your chatting needs

I always thought these guys were supposed to be tough as nails and fearless, so I have no idea on how one would try to intimidate them. Maybe by calling on our status as guards / agents of the queen and threatening to go over their heads to have them reprimanded or thrown out of the city? Maybe that would work?

Yeah, think Nazis. The way to intimidate is with authority. Imply that we are much higher on the chain of command and we can make their own leaders deal with them. They are most likely not told much anyway and are always looking out waiting for the higher up to screw them.

Ayeesha already made the roll and Kraw and I attempted an Aid check.

Lol I am just imagining it is a deliberately low cut top and a towering barbarian ready to pounce if an eye so much drops below her chin.

IT’S A TRAP!!!

Re: [OOC] The Tavern - For all your chatting needs

You want us all rolling initiative? I don't think talking it going to do much good with these creatures.

By the way, which knowledge skill to ID these things?
Local, Nature, Arcana, or Dungeoneering?

Yes I tend to roll most passive skill checks automatically. Figus was the only one who passed.

I will get a map and combat tracking up and running today.

So, moving forward with a Stealth check of 29 puts me visibly in the middle of the pack of heroes??

Re: [OOC] The Tavern - For all your chatting needs

I skipped past several rounds of running to get there. You would not have been able to keep up while stealthed and turning the corner put you in combat.

There is plenty to hide behind if you would like to re-stealth. You can keep your 29 if you'd like.
