I think we can just let them be. Some are in cages, which means they are no threat, others are feeding on the dead body and should not bother us

Yeah once stirges have gorged like that they are pretty lethargic for several days. Unless they feel threatened they'll just chill on the body being almost too heavy to fly.

Also you guys are getting close to level 4. Definitely hitting it before the end of the dungeon so we should talk about leveling up mid-adventure.

I believe in the old school way that leveling up properly requires time and training so when you go up to level 4 we can figure out what makes sense for you to get immediately (HP, attribute bumps) and what makes sense to wait until the downtime after this adventure to apply (skills, extra spell slots etc).

Still it is worthwhile to start thinking about your level up choices now.

Yeah, so at 4th level we get a stat point, I get spell casting which is nice, and an animal companion which plainly speaking sucks until I get to 5th level.
