I hope everything is going well with you guys. I don't want to spoil anything but you are fast on your way with finally completing book 1.

This will be the first game I've ever run on rPoL to make it through the first book of an AP!

Especially given very low turnover, all things considered, just one relatively early rotation of characters so I cannot express how great of a journey this will be.

I know I shouldn't be celebrating too early but I am just really excited!

Yeah, its good stuff when you get a good group. I did have one game where we went through the first 2 books of the Runelords. Hopefully this one will go longer.

In regard to 4th level, Alpha is going to get a lot weaker, at least until i get to 5th level. Its pretty weird how that will work out.

Local map and overview map has been updated. As far as you can tell there are no unexplored passageways that you have missed.

Apologies but i had swapped AC and initiative. Not the first time so I think I will re-do my format to go Initiative | Name | AC. Its AC is 15 flat-footed and 17 natural.

Unless you did not add the flanking bonus into your attack rolls, you only hit him once.

Ah, but when one is flanked, as the derro was, he cannot effectively use Dexterity to avoid blows. Thus he had the 'flat-footed ' AC of 15.

No he doesn't. Where did you get that from?

Ack. Misread rogue ability to sneak attack. Flanking provides sneak attack damage. So does attacks that negate Dexterity bonus. But the one does not infer the other.

Still, the one blow I landed with sneak attack may have done the job.
