Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
In reply to The Force Surrounds Us (msg # 571):

"I swear it."

OOC:

Truk Bwanrata rolled 2 successes, 2 threats using the Star Wars Edge of the Empire with a dice pool of 1P 2A 1C 1D 2S

I'll take the strain, which should put be at 7/6 success threshold and 6/13 strain threshold.

I also intend not to tell the others, but manually enter the coordinates myself (to ensure I was rolling charm and not deception)

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
Crow stared at Truk for several long moments, surprised that he would agree and . .  surprised that he believed him.  He considered his intent, and decided this was the best course after all.  "I'll trust you in this then Truk, but only this" He beckoned for the Bothan to lean in and gave the coordinates and planet name PM TRUK [Private to Truk Bwanrata: The Alliance relocated to a remote planet so far out in the outer rim, it doesn't even have a proper name.  If you searched for it in a star chart, it would only have a designation, 5251977.]

With that, he deflated and lay back.  He knew that when/if he was presented to the Alliance, he would stand alone against 4 "crewmates" that had tried to kill him.  He hoped that that his trust in the alliance hierarchy was not misplaced.

OOC
Truk, since you used charm and not deception - you have to make the astrogation roll.  You can upgrade once (your 2A becomes 1P1A) if you ask TM-42 to assist (he is the only one trained in this besides Crow - though you dont really know that. . . .), however he has stated he is not going near Altani, who has posted the cockpit is her new "little kingdom", so . . . yeah.  You can alternatively roll your 2A with an assist boost from Altani.  The difficulty is a base of 2D, increased by 1 for the over encumbered ship, so 3D.

Don't post results unless its all positive.  If you fail or get a bunch of threat, let me determine times and such.

Fratz hears that Crow is about to divulge the location.  Taking some initiative so Truk does not have to lie to Crow, he creeps forward to hear the secret location.  Keeping as quiet as he can, listens to the coordinates before sneaking back out of the room.

In reply to The Force Surrounds Us (msg # 575):

Truk thanks Crow for divulging the information and promises to head to the base straightaway.  He exits the room and hears TM-42 clanking about in what seems like an attempt to repair himself, while Fratz is sanding near the door.  Giving him a strange look, he calls out to the crew,

"Good news, we have the coordinates.  I promised that I would not tell anyone else, so I plan to enter the coordinates myself.  With that said, I am not the best with these navigation systems.  Is there anyone who might be able to help me ensure that I follow the correct procedure in entering the coordinates?"

OOC:

to be clear, I am not asking for help in typing in the coordinates, rather, I am asking for help to follow the procedure (thus keeping the charm v. deception intact)

My astrogation is really low, so I recommend either you do it and I boost you or you work with altabi to do it.  No way I pass that difficulty check.

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
TM-42 came together with the rest of the crew, the coordinates and planet location were plugged into the navi-computer and processed.  His fingers played across the controls with speed.  The outputs came out with a viable route back to the base location, feeding that to Altani - the temporary pilot sat in the pilots seat and engaged the hyper-drive. The path back from Isde Naha was projected to take about 30 hours.

The starfield streaked outward and the ship burst forward to incredible speeds.  The next 30 hours were . . . interesting.  The quarters were cramped.  There was no personal space.  No secluded corners.

Feel free to post any conversations or . . .  arguments you feel like having during transit.

30 hours later the navi-computer chimed that they were approaching their destination.  Altani pulled the lever back and the ship lurched back into normal space and the planet LOOMED.  The Fat Pig was rushing towards the planets surface at near light speeds.  Within seconds, the planets gravity well had captured the Fat Pig and was pulling it down towards the surface.

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
Feeling some tension being so close to Altani, perhaps it was self imposed, TM-42 drifted back to the cargo hold, tinkering with the In-Helmet Scanner he had found in the Vault.

Time passed quickly for TM-42 fixing himself and tinkering with the helmet as time passed.

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
In reply to TM-42 (msg # 583):

++BEFORE THE LANDING ATTEMPT++

Truk saw the awkward tension between Altani and TM.  Even though Altani didn't do anything to provoke it, it was clear that TM still felt uncomfortable even near here.  Not hard to understand given the gunfire they exchanged, but it appeared that there was a lot more to this droid than just hardware and basic programming.  He had seen droids with more "personality" before, but it was rare to come across one who was....sentient.

When TM, quickly left the cockpit after entering the coordinates, Truk drifted back to the cargo hold to see if he could get a better handle on jsut who TM was.

"TM-42,"  Truk said as he approached.  "Is it ok if I call you TM?  I wanted to check in on you now that we have left Hoth.  I apologize for not taking the opportunity sooner, but as you probably could tell we had overstayed our welcome during our scavenging run.  Now that we have a few minutes, I wanted to get to know you a bit better.  Can you tell me a bit about yourself?  What did you do before you were powered down in the bunker?  I had heard a bit of your story on the Empire's attack on Hoth, but what about before then?"

"Before I came to this outfit, I was a smuggler by trade.  I had worked several jobs for the Hutts, in and out of the outer and mid rim.  That work proved...unfulfilling.  So, I found someone associated with our....employer.... and this was our first real mission.  I apologize for confusion due to the secretive aspects of our work, but we were not expecting the area to be populated, so we needed a story that wouldn't expose our....affiliation."

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
ooc: Altani probably gets a boost for having a copilot, even if it is just Truk

Fratz stayed in the cockpit until the ship jumps "safely" into hyperspace.  Not really wanting to hang around in the cockpit alone with Altani, he departs leaving her alone in her sanctum once more.

Fratz makes himself busy by going over the cargo hold and ensuring everything is tied down securly.

ooc: Fratz joins the TM / Truk Conversation

While he starts going over the cargo bay, he listens in on the conversation, but making sure his presence is known so it does not seem like he is eavesdropping, just working and chatting at the same time.

Adding his own introduction to Truks, Fratz says "I was born a slave to the Hutts, as almost all of my people are.  When I grew up, I found an opportunity to escape.  I joined the Rebellion to help try to free my people from slavery." as he checks straps, and ensures nothing will shake loose if they have to pull any evasive maneuvers.

In reply to Fratz Kre (msg # 586):

Looking over at Fratz amused, seeing him trying to inconspicuously work with one arm while participating in the conversation, welcomed his addition.  Truk knew that Fratz saw something else with the droid as well, or else he wouldn't have been so protective of him earlier.

Once Truk got a better handle on TM-42, he was planning to discuss some with Altani and figure out how she was doing.  It had been a long trip.

OOC:

Fratz you crack me up.  I was also thinking the boost on the co-piloting, and I'm not sure we would have made the landing with just one person in there as we had all the gear.

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
In reply to Truk Bwanrata (msg # 585):

TM-42 nods, "TM is fine."

Listening to Truk explain the Hoth situation, TM-42 listens intently, not moving.  Once finished and question was asked, TM beeps recogniztion, then speaks, "I  was designed and built on Correscant as an Empire Technical droid designed to fly and pilot empire vehicles.  TM-XX droids are also programed to fix and repair all empire vehicles and spacecraft to reduce the costs of maintenance.  That said, I've noticed the Rebel Alliance has many empire craft which I can redily fix, repair and bring up to standards."

"After my production, I as packed onto a truck to be taken to the Empire base camp where he was going to be shipped off to another remote location, the Empire 4th Cavalry Base Camp.  Rebel Alliance ambushed the vehicle as they needed to get an 'authorized' vehicle to enter Empire 4th Cavalry Base Camp  to plant
listening devices in order to track the movement of VIP's which were known to stop at the base camp for fringe benefits, namely drugs and slaves.  Correscant was known for their black trade market in slaves of all kinds and illegal drugs which the Hutts and Black Sun ran for a very lucrative profit.  Both vied for control and often fought over areas they wanted to control and deal their dirty trade."

"The Rebel Alliance leader, Captain Jex Nail had lost his Scout in the ambush or perhaps before then.  The Scout was going to plant most of the devices.  When he learned the truck was loaded with a dozen robots, he  reprogrammed them all to carry out new orders.  Jex Nail is very ingenious man and capable leader.  I was programmed to secure an alternative escape ship incase the Rebel's were discovered and their plans foiled."

"I plugged into the Empire intranet and found the ship log book where found several ships which was scheduled to be decommissioned.  After review, he found one which still worked well enough to be flown.  Finding the location, TM-42 also copied an order to request the ship, using an incoming VIP's name as the approval authority claiming the General wanted a slave ship for his personal use while
on the capital."

"The plan went well and I picked up the ship and landed just outside the Cavalry Base Camp to wait for Captain Jex Nail to signal his help was needed.  Captain Jex Nail was shot and his team left him for dead as the Empire found them and were closing the net.  I was torn, my programing and the reprogramming done by Jex was conflicting my mission priorities.  Finally, I acted on my last orders and decided to save Jex."

"With the Empire closing the net on the Rebels, I knew he would have to have a cover story to get Jex out if I found him.  Locating the hazardous waste building I  grabbed a large hazardous waste been clearly marked with HAZMAT symbols.  Adding a bit of red paint around the base of the bin (incase Jex was bleeding), I set out to find Jex Nail.  Long story short, I found the Captain, rescued him and flew him off Correscant."

"We had some difficulties along the way, but eventually reached Hoth where I meet a few of the Rebel Leaders.  I had been shot and was low on power.  Jex was needed to defend the base, so I powerwed down and was going to rejoin him.  I woke up next in the Vault, which you now how that went."

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
In reply to TM-42 (msg # 588):

Truk nodded thoughtfully at TM-42's story.  It was very clear to him that he wasn't a run-of-the-mill droid anymore, and the Alliance would definitely be interested in hearing his story and having him around.  For that matter, this team would definitely benefit from having him around.

Truk responded to TM-42, "Well TM, I am personally glad that you awoke when you did.  those sentry droids were doing their job, as perceived by R7, but you helped us out in a pinch.  I apologize again for the initial confusion.  Now that we are well on our way to our location, I can tell you that we will be meeting with our commanding officers and Sergeant Torsk when we get back to the Alliance base.  I'd like to help you find Captian Niall if we can, but I'm sure that the Alliance leadership would like to know some of your history as well.

Depending on what happens there, you may get a new assignemnt.  Knowing that you have some operational experience, can fly a ship, and handy with a weapon, I can put in a request to have you on our team if you'd like.  Take some time to think it over, but we definitely have the need.
"

Truk stood and moved to the doorway, and turned back "It's nice to have you with us TM."

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
Struggling with the controls, Altani tried to rein the ship's descent, the distance and speed of their approach were too inadequate for the overweight fat pig, if one was to be polite about it. Uttering a silent curse at the droid who as far as she saw it at the moment was still trying to get them, she voiced to the rest. ++Brace for impact.++ Forewarned Altani as they went down.

Fortunately enough, Altani was capable of reducing the speed of their dash into the planet in time. The structural integrity of the ship held in place despite the strain of the whole maneuver but the situation was nothing but an adequate ending for the rather complicated development of the mission.

OOC

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
Altani worked furiously at the controls with Fratz in the co-pilot chair.  The ship dived towards the planet, with quick thinking, Altani spun the ship into a barrel roll and banked hard to port, dramatically increasing the drag in the planets atmosphere.  Boxes flew and bounced around the ship.  Equipment rolled off tables, pinging on the floor.  The ship slowed and steadied with only a few hundred feet to spare.

With sighs of relief all around, Altani located the bases position on the planet.  +Alliance Base, Fat Pig is on approach from vector 5+, a second later you hear back over the comms +Nice Approach . . .Fat Pig?  Your transponder checks out.  Welcome back+  The ship swung over the forest canopy and settled into a clearing that came into view.  The crew gathered, some keeping their distance from others and walked down the gangway to report on their mission, its successes and failures.

Commander She'Ra met the group at the entrance to the main complex.  She looked them all over with a critical eye.  "Welcome back.  You all seem to have a story to tell.  The techs will begin unloading the salvaged cargo.  Take the rest of the day and compile your reports.  Submit them to Sergeant Torsk, then we will meet to discuss your next assignment"

As you write your debrief, you all are also awarded 40 XP to spend and will get 1500 credits from the alliance.  We'll talk duty awards after your reports are in.  I recommend waiting to spend your credits until ypu know the next mission.  Might have better luck buying stuff on a planet with an actual economy.

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
Fratz found himself in the co-pilot seat as they were re-entering the atmosphere.  He had not been in the cockpit of many ships, but he was a natural.  As the ship came out late from hyperspace, it was obvious that their calculations had been off for a bit.  Biting back a curse, he remains quiet so Altani can do her work.  He sees Altani's intention of doing a roll to increase drag, so he flipped a few switches transferring power from the weapons systems to the control circuits.  The extra power was just enough for Altani to prevent the ship from crashing.

With a sigh of relief, they land at the ships base.

Exhausted, and still quite sore from his ordeal, Fratz decides to report to the medical wing for a followup appointment and to talk about his future options.  "I am going to the medbay" he says to the team by way of letting them know.  He asks the doctor if he can stay in a medical bed for the night, as he did not feel right going back to his room.  He should be reporting to the brig, but the commander gave them free time before hearing the full story.

Thus it was, that Fratz typed up his report in a self imposed medical confinement

=================================
Commander She'Ra,

I would like to inform you that due to my actions on this mission, a member of the team has perished.  In addition to any diciplinary actions you give to me, I assigned my own recompense for my actions taken.  I have vowed to spend my life freeing the Wookie People in addition to working towards the freedom of my own.  It is not much to try to pay back the debt I owe, but it is all that I can do.

The mission started on the rockey side, with fights about to start up at every turn in the conversation.  I became angered with Altani when she was dismissive and potentially even supportive of the slave trade and so I threatened her.  I think anyone who could be supportive of the slave trade is not welcome in this Rebellion.

Crow on the other hand, seemed to hold himself above the rest of the crew, unwilling to even engage with anyone other then his assigned piloting task.  This distance he kept is probably why he snapped later in the mission.

Once on the mission, we did start to work as a team.  We were met by some uglies in orbit, and instead of engaging Truk talked our way down to the planet posing as a thrid party salvagers.

On the planet, Truk got us permission to salvage what we could from specific areas in exchange for ridding them of monsters.  Seems a mining company has set up camp at Echo Base.

We first went out to the ridge, and picked through the wreckage of the ATATs and Snowspeeders.  Some wompas ambushed us and in that fight I lost my arm.  Our doctor could not re-attach it, probably due to his hands shaking from alchohol withdrawl.  He should be benched until he gets over his alcholism.  I already lost my arm because of it, who is going to lose their life when they rely on him next?

The next day, we tried to make a plan.  Crow and I were under the impression that we would remain in the ship and fire the main cannons to kill any Wompas.  The rest of the crew were under the impression that they would engage the monsters in hand to hand combat.  Once we at the ship saw the wompas we both opend fire.  Unfortunatly Kurgan was killed by my shot.

In a debriefing later, we discovered the miscommunication and the cause of the situation that put Kurgan and the rest of the crew in harms way.  They had thought we would only support them if they fell back.

This is where Crow and to a lesser degree Altani snapped.  While I took responsibility for my actions, Crow did not.  That caused everyone to get furious with Crow, and Crow became defensive.  Altani and Crow stood off yelling for some time, however when approached Crow drew his blaster on Truk.  He retreated into the ship and threatened to leave us stranded outside in the cold, and take the ship back to base himself.  We quickly got into the ship, and Altani shot Crow with the intention of killing him.

Altani maintains that her blaster does not have a stun setting, but I know the model and it does.  I think she just likes killing people who get in her way.

We discovered that R7-7R, a Rebel Droid, was still at this planet with the local mining company.  We try to use him to get us entry into the bunker.  I was going to distract the security droid, who we asked to look at our logs to see who had intruded into our systems.  You might want to have someone look at that.

While investigating, the Doctor let slip that we have Crow under arrest.  The droid demanded we release him, and we refused.  The droid gave us 12 hours to leave the planet.

The others got into a fight with R7, and the droid was left at the base.  If we ever want to go back, they know we were from the Rebellion, and potentially have information about where the ship has been.  They will not be friendly.

On the way back, the location of the base was gleamed by Truk and all of the members of the crew, including the salvaged droid, know the location of this base now.

End Mission Report.

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
Altani was eager, to be done with the report, one of the reasons she hated most and why she loathed the idea of joining some military group, bureaucracy and documents gave her allergies. After she submited it, Altani went to rest, the medbay could wait, she had much sleep to catch up with.

[Private to GM: Mission began without much incident, the only noteworthy setback being the presence of some miners (likely scavengers) that had settled in the ruins of the former rebel base. After some talking, we were allowed to do our own scavenging, all under a guise not too different from theirs.

Initial operations revolved around the leftovers of the battlefield, where after wrestling with some of the native predators, some utility items as well as some potential intelligence were gathered. No casualties, but about one half of the crew was severely wounded, including the loss of an arm by Fratz.

The next targets were the medical facility in the base and a secondary hangar. Scanners betrayed the position of two life forms, likely more of the predators we had encountered but impossible to tell just by them. Not wishing to wrestle wit the creatures a second time, it was determined to lure them out through a corridor and gun them down as they came, if it came to it with the help of the ship guns. Recklessness, thirst for revenge on a lost limb, an excess of zeal and eagerness or maybe even  malicious intent, led to Crow to fire into the tunnel and position the ship for Fratz to do as much before those on the ground had retreated, luring the beasts. The blast obliterated the wookie as well as the beasts and although it was initially unclear, their own actions and confessions pointed to Fratz as the actual killer (something to be expected out of a one armed gunner).

Right after the incident, Crow landed the ship, came out with Fratz. Bolarro proceeded to give the two a severe scolding for their recklessness which had costed Kurgan's life, informed them that they would not be involved in any decision making at the time (understandable considering what their last decision had led to), lastly they were told to help work with the scavenging of the hangar. The designated medic then tried to go into the ship, but Crow refused him access, after i insisted on Bolarro's decision, that complying with it and helping with the work would go a long way in helping everyone else believe it had been as they claimed, an accident. Crow then began to act irrationally, trying to commandeer the ship and the mission as well, threatening to abandon anyone who wouldn't obey him in the frozen waste.

At that point and given his open betrayal, i asked for his gun and informed Crow that he was under arrest, unsurprisingly so, he resisted. Trying to use his exclusive knowledge of the coordinates of the base as means to coerce the rest and later by running into the ship and  attempting to follow through in his threats of sabotaging the mission and leaving everyone stranded. We managed to board the ship through different entrances, even though he attempted to kill part of the crew by rushing them by tampering with the shields. Once inside and convinced that he had gone rogue or worse, was an Imperial agent i proceeded to gun him down when i found him at the cargo hold, strapping the intelligence we found on his body as a last ditch attempt to get away with whatever plans he had by taking it as hostage.

After this Truk insisted on keeping him alive and sedated while we finished our mission but checking the vault that the scanners had picked up. It would only be by persuading some astromech present with the miners that we would gan entry to the vault. Once inside and going down a lift into a dark room, the astromech rushed ahead as some malfunctioning droids began to reactivate and fire on us, a short firefight ensued. Two of the droids went down while a third who initially shot on its peers, indicated that was in charge of protecting the whole place, judging it malfunctioning too, i exchanged shots with it, until the astromech attacked Truk and then me. I shot the astromech down and the last droid escaped under the cover of darkness. After this Fratz was able to talk the droid out of its mission to defend the vault, we loaded as much as we could into the ship and came back

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
In reply to Truk Bwanrata (msg # 589):

TM nods, "I was ... foggy from waking up and R7 was very convincing.  I hoped things had gone smoother but it all ended well, yes?"

Pausing he then continues, "I would welcome your help and meeting the leaders here to include this Torsk you speak of.  I will tell them all I can of the Empire and Hoth that I can remember.  If I can't find Captain Nail, I would be honored to work with you again."

Pointing to a droid in the cargo hold, TM continued, "During our flight here I used droid parts to make a ship labor droid.  I didn't have enough time to make it a specialty droid, but it is a working droid that will help with any physical requirements you may have.  Carrying wounded, loading gear or the like.  I found a I7-6950X processor in some of the goods and installed it in the droid, he should be faster than the average Labor droid.  I thought it a fitting gift for the ride home."

"Some of the parts are older, however so I wouldn't encourage any cybernetics as they will be harder to find parts that are compliant and work well together."

Kurgan Reporting:
Mission started simple, with a simple goal of collecting any remaining Alliance gear left on Hoth.  Crow, the pilot was the only one who knew the location of our base.  While this might have been an issue, Kurgan figured the team was solid and not a problem.  This would later come back to haunt the group.

Jumping to Hoth, the trip went smoothly till we entered the Hoth system, running into two Y-Wings and a large freighter, who didn’t take kindly to our presence.  Captain Glendik and the other ships didn’t want us to enter the Hoth system.  After tense negotiations which almost ended very badly, we were allowed to land to further talks with their leaders.  Once we landed, we were separated and had to leave behind all weapons.

We were welcomed to Foothold Outpost by Che'Lin, droid supervisor/administrator of the facility, R7-7R responsible to restore the Rebel Stronghold and K9-357 the security droid.  The droid Che’Lin reported they worked for the FLAK Corporation.  Had this been stated sooner, our entrance may have gone smother.  We did take notice the Outpost was composed of families, likely intending to make the outpost their permanent home.

We worked out a compromise with Che’Lin.  They were not warriors and had lost some men to Hoth critters.  We would clear the areas, taking any gear in the danger areas and give the secured areas back to the droids.

The First area we cleared was the collapsed entrance to the base and the perimeter defensive trench that had been carved into the landscape.  We decided to check out an AT-AT, discovering half a dozen Wampas.  Bolaro, the ship captain lost an arm and the fight was intense, but we were victorious.  I rushed Bolaroback to the camp while the others scavenged the wrek.  We counted that day as a win, even though we had a large setback, our Dr had a missing arm.

The next day we decided to continue healing up and do some research and investigation inside the Outpost hoping to find the Vault.  Truk was the lucky one finding several Wompa’s in a tunnel.  I rushed to his side to help.  Crow flew the Fat Pig into position to support and fired a ship gun into the tunnel directing Fratz to fire the second gun.  I guess neither were given safety instructions on firing a ship gun in close proximity to allies.  I was disintegrated during the ship blast.

Duty:  Betrayal.  Not really used during the chapter.

TM-42 Reporting:
Left for dead perhaps, I awake in the Vault to gunfire.  Disoriented and foggy from a long sleep I discovered droid fighting breathers.  I wasn’t sure who was Alliance, Empire or something else.  One of the men, Truk shot the last standing droid and engaged me in conversation.  I immediately identified myself as a Rebel Alliance droid asking who they were.

The Astromech, R7-7R, convinced me they were Empire Bounty Hunters and spies and using his arc welder took Truk down.  Alarmed I considered shooting the lead woman, Altani but she shot first without a word.  Returning fire, leaking oil I retreated.  The woman shot the Astromech, knocking out the only light in the vault.  I maneuvered towards the hallway and the lift.  Boarding the lift I ascended to the top, attempting to block the lift from returning and allowing the Bounty Hunters to escape to try and protect valuable Alliance assets from theft.

At the top, I was encountered by a friendly man named Fratz Kre.  We talked.  I discovered they were Alliance and I also revealed I was an Alliance Droid in search of a friend.  I helped them loot the vault placing the gear on the Fat Pig and fly back to their base.

Duty:  Resource Acquisition
TM-42 worked to prevent the theft of acquisitions from the Rebel Alliance.  By blocking the lift, TM-42 would have prevented what he thought were Bounty Hunters from stealing Rebel Alliance goods.  Once he discovered they were Rebel Alliance, he helped them to load the goods onto the ship for transport to the Alliance Base.

Chapter 5.1 - Struggles of the Alliance
In reply to TM-42 (msg # 596):

PM Truk Report

[Private to The Force Surrounds Us:

------------Truk Report Begin-------------------

This mission was not what I expected. Things went awry from the get go, but I suppose that many of these do. After all, the best plans rarely survive first contact, and that is indeed what happened with us. It would have been helpful if the Alliance could have scouted the area before it sent us there as Hoth had been taken over by a mining colony with a decent security force….well, one that we weren’t willing to contend with. After convincing the leader, a protocol droid named Che’Lin that we were there for a salvaging mission and that we could help clear the rubble, we were able to land and get to work.

We initially explored the remains outside of the base, and I think that some of us were not prepared for the reality of the mission. In our first encounter with the Wampas (the same beasts that had captured Commander Skywalker), Altani kept her distance and Crow initially ran away, leaving myself, Kurgan, and Crow to fight the beasts. I believe that it was this direct inaction that led to Fratz losing his arm. We were able to dispatch the beasts and recover some goods before we went back and healed up from the fight.

The next day, we explored the abandoned hangar and encountered more of the beasts. In what could only be considered a reckless move, Crow flew the ship to a position where Fratz could fire the weapons down the corridor where we encountered the beasts. Thinking we were clear, he fired the weapon and it hit Kurgan and disintegrated him and the beasts near him. This was a major blow to the group, and the members quickly turned on each other to ensure they each knew their part in the blame for killing Kurgan. It appeared that Crow did not want any share of Kurgan’s death, despite his flying maneuvers, and with Altani in his face, he did what none of thought was possible: He threatened to maroon us. We tried to talk him down and find a peaceful resolution, but he was too enraged by Altani’s blunt accusations. Therefore, he locked himself in the ship and we were forced to cut the door open and fire on him. Once we incapacitated him, we quickly attended to him and kept him in a medical coma until we finished the mission.

After the Crow affair, the crew was pretty demoralized, but they recognized the need to find the bunker. With the help of R7, and astromech who had been there with the rebellion, we opened the entrance to the bunker, only to be ambushed by two sentry droids. Altani and myself fended them off, with the help of TM-42, who awoke as we were near the end of the fight. Unfortunately, R7 assumed that we were empire bounty hunters, attacked me, and convinced TM that Alatani was with the empire. After their firefight, Altani stimmed me and we went to find TM, only to see that Fratz had found him first and recognized the situation and defused it before it became a problem.

Where we stand now is that the crew could use a milk run to get back on our feet. Fratz needs a new arm, and if he is to continue as an integral part of the crew, we need him at 100%. TM is looking for his old captain, but I think he would make a good addition to our squad as he took to Fratz very quickly and he seems to be able to think on his feet. I would like to return Kurgan’s possessions to his next of kin, and I made an oath to do so. Altani may need to see a shrink as she was very upset by Crow’s actions. Fortunately, I think she trusts me and she has had my back several times throughout the mission.
