Day One: Location Unknown
It had been nearly fifteen hours since the Hyperion entered the portal.  It was continuing on its journey through the strange space that enveloped it.  There were wildly fluctuating readings on power, atmosphere, speed, and anything else that the sensors or individual optics of the crew could perceive.

It was impossible to tell where or even WHEN the ship was at this point.  All outside contact was impossible and the stars themselves were warped and unreadable while inside the portal.

Admiral Zenerin walked out onto the bridge and looked at the crew and view screen before speaking.

"Any updates? Anything working at all? Or are we still just....travelling to wherever this is taking us?"

Day One: Location Unknown
[Observation Lounge]

Once the turbulence had subsided, and a suitable interval of time had passed (subjectively, that is), Bianca had no longer been restricted to her quarters for her own safety. An escort was still detailed to keep an eye on her, however.

She made her way back to the observation lounge, where she stood beside the antique ship's wheel and binnacle. Leaning upon her cane, she peered out the forward viewports at the swirling, chaotic vortex of unreality which comprised the artificial wormhole. Her face bore a detached, distant look with her eyes slightly out of focus. Occasionally, her body would sway slightly or her head would tilt quizzically, as if trying to perceive something that couldn't be detected by means of the usual five senses.

Walter was still glued to the station; he had only taken a couple of breaks to eat while since they started, even though he was a couple shifts out of rotation.  The journey was fascinating and scary at the same time, not knowing where they were or what was happening to the ship.

"Wish I could give you a better answer than 'I don't know' sir," he tiredly replied to the Admiral.

Quarters

The Orion was pacing his office like a caged tiger. He seethed, feeling impatience and a frustrated need for action bubbling against his controls and cool demeanour. He laughed; short, dry and humourless. Here they were travelling across the Galaxy at speeds never before thought possible, many orders of magnitude over the speed of light couldn't they move just a bit faster? He'd already volunteered to fly into the Outer Dark, which might as well have been the Dark Place after death. He didn't want to wait for it, nor have all these false starts. Departure had already been catastrophic, with the destruction of the Iron Horse and likely deaths of her crew, and this was inauspicious for the mission. He just needed to get it over with, short and quick, like ripping off a bandage or waxing his head. Seeing the weirdly warped stars through the viewport, he snarled, a shudder running through his strong body.

Those were his thoughts, but second thoughts stopped him. This... this train of thought was not good for him, not productive, he was only working himself into a state of anxiety and stress. He couldn't fight physics, nor be angry at bad luck. With a great effort, he controlled his breathing, tried to clear his head... This was going to be hard. He needed to redirect his energy. The gym.

He changed into a tank top and shorts, which left his muscular green arms and legs bare and displaying a number of black tattoos, then departed his room for the gym. He set off at a jog down the corridors, his pheromones bearing a hot edge of frustration and fear along with him.

[Bridge]

Meg had been running diagnostics and reviewing the profiles of every system on the ship during their transit. The ship was doing surprisingly well. She turned her face toward the Admiral. "Sir, everything appears to be working well enough when internal diagnostics are run. However, the ship's sensors are unable to make sense of what they are detecting. I expect that we are on whatever course was anticipated - there is nothing to suggest otherwise."

She looked over to the captain next. "Captain, while we did not have significant damage to primary ship's systems, the strain placed on the hull during our departure may have created some structural weaknesses that should be addressed upon arrival."

[Main Engineering - Medical Bay]

Systems returned to normal the warp core had survived the stress. There were stress fractures all over the ship. None of them would pose an immediate threat to the ship. The medical team finally arrived. The injured and the dead were all taken away.
Terrence Yeager was among the dead. Even Sialk had a hard time not feeling bad about the last few days. Life would go on like it always did.

Day One: Location Unknown
Mark was in the ships Gym Running on a tread mill, he had spent a lot of the trip here so far. With no access to his shuttle he had very little to do, not fully able to integrate with the Marines and not a member of ships crew he was keeping in shape ready for the call. So far his requests to be allowed to do maintenance had fallen into A black hole.

To: Admiral Zenerin
CC: Commander Jors; Major Dahlstrom
From: Lt. Junior Grade Fontaine, Mark
Subject: Access to U.S.S. Hereford

Admiral,
I must again request access to my shuttle that is currently on lock down in the Dorsal Shuttle Bay, I would like to check it over after the problems during the mission launch as well as perform routine maintenance and start familiarising both Marine Pilots and the ships helms man with it to improve combined maneuvers. Yours Sincerely,
Mark Fontaine, Lt. Jr Grade SF

As the ships counsellor entered the room he slowed to a fast Jog.

"Sir" He said as he he slowed.

[Observation Lounge]

Tiyeri had gone up to the observation lounge after the marines where allowed to stand down again. She couldn't sleep and despite there not being a whole lot to see at the observation deck, the warped perception the portal gave of the galaxy had a sort of calming look.

When Tiyeri heard someone else walking onto the lounge she looked up for a moment and gave a nod in greeting to both Bianca and the ships crew member who seemed to follow the woman. After the greeting she settled back into her sitting position, back against the wall and legs crossed in front of her. She seemed to be looking out into the warped view on reality the wormhole created as she sank back into her thoughts again.

Jericho paced the bridge, he had been here the entire time other than a few moments in his ready room. Then only long enough to get another cup of coffee. This flying blind was starting to set him on edge, but there was nothing to be done except wait.

Jericho turned as the Admiral entered, "I am afraid Lt. Peterson is right sir, from what little we can tell we could still be moving or trapped in some phenomena and not be moving at all."

As Meg makes her report, "Duly noted Lt., confer with Sialk to get his estimates of damage. I am sure he already has a definitive estimate but it doesn't hurt to have a second estimate."

Bianca didn't appear to notice the Caitian nearby, nor did she acknowledge the tacit greeting that was offered. For a long moment, she remained staring off into space, occasionally nodding as if someone unseen and unheard was explaining something to her at length.

Finally, she made her way to the replicator and spoke into its pickup: "Mint tea, hot." A steaming cup appeared on the delivery tray, which she picked up and carried over to a nearby sofa, setting it down on the end table before seating herself and propping her walking stick against the armrest.

"That's disconcerting," she commented, nodding toward the view of the wormhole ahead of them. "I've been through the Bajoran wormhole several times, but it was nothing like this. Still, I think we'll come out of it all right," she said with a judicious air, as she took a sip of her tea.

On entering the gym and being greeted by Fontaine, Mavrik looked around, surprised and not really expecting to be called "sir", not when off-duty. 'Hi.' he returned, sounding a bit distracted. The Orion moved to the side to begin stretches, folding his strong arms in and out.

Takeo looks up from his station. " Sir there is no data being shown to give any idea of threat." I have tried reconfiguring sensors and while they report they are working, that is it."
