Scene 10: Rumble in La Ciudad
With the rough outline of a battle strategy in place, work progressed quickly as the sun went down. Many of the villagers were indeed to sick to move on their own and had to be carried into the Behemoth. This left he Lumberjacks alone in the town, preparing their battlefield however they wished in the short time that the last rays of sunlight lit their labors.
An hour after sundown, a fog did begin to develop. It hung in the low areas over the river and on the ground of the forest. The fog eventually never became thick enough that one couldn't see across the small town, but it did make seeing into the trees from the village quite impossible.
At the stroke of midnight, a single wolf's howl echoes over the landscape. It was clearly a wolf, not a coyote. The howl was followed by two minutes of silence. Then a dozen figures emerged from the woods. The dark figures hugged the ground under the cover of fog, possibly wolves. They all came from the compass direction of west, but they were spread out so that none were less than person's height from each others sides. The figures trotted confidently towards the walls, neither running nor slinking cautiously.
P.S. A light breeze is currently blowing from the north-east across the river.
