The thread for Ángel and Blake's class with Dennis Jade on Tuesday afternoon, September 1st.



Dennis is waiting for the large group of students that selected sports as their elective as they arrive on the field outside the gym.

Blake rolls up in a loping jog, coming to a stop with a short hop, clearly pleased to be outside, but still making sure to pass close enough to David to make him uncomfortable.

"Mr. Jade." Blake says with a smile and nod, standing at ease while he waits on the others.

Ángel jogs out onto the field. He doesn't obviously avoid anyone, but he keeps his distance from everyone. He takes a relaxed stance and focuses his attention on Mr. Jade.

"So, Jeremiah won't be joining us, and the gym... Well, the machinery to turn it back doesn't work with those dents in the armour plating, so we'll be outside for a little while. Which works out just perfectly for the activity I have in mind. Donato, I was watching your dance earlier, so I think you know this game."

"Exactly," Dennis says, beckoning Donato to come closer.

"Capoeira is also a martial art, but we're going to mostly focus on the game part, the acrobatics and dance inspired portions. It's a good total body workout, and I think it would be really good for the three of you that aren't used to using your legs in this kind of way. Let's demonstrate a little something, Donato."

[Side] Dancing Game (Tuesday 9-1-15 afternoon)
The game, as Donato and Dennis keep calling it, seems to involve a complex set of rhythmic motions, using large steps and swinging the arms in order to propel the steps even further. Several times as the two circle each other, their hands are planted firmly on the ground as they spin their legs in wide circles, nearly colliding with each other in the process.

It's almost like breakdancing had a lovechild with kickboxing or something.
