The thread for the introduction of Johanna Koivunen on Friday evening, September 4th.



The students are all assembled for dinner once again, and once again their repast consists of several varieties of pizza, with sides of salad and garlic bread. As usual, Doctor Henningsen is in attendance, but unusually enough, Professor Henningsen has joined him. Dennis sits across from her, and they're both adjacent to the Doctor, who is in his place at the head of the table...

As everyone is getting settled in to eat, Dr. H rises and says, "So before we dig in, I have a couple announcements. As you all have probably noticed, Jeremiah hasn't been around today, and his room is completely empty. That's because he has elected to go to a sister program of sorts, sponsored by the military. We, in turn, have taken in a student from their program, a foreign exchange student from Finland."

He calls out more loudly, "Johanna, please come in now."

A rather meek looking girl enters the room with an awkward looking smile. She was wearing a plain black t-shirt and jeans. As she walks next to the Doctor Neil to stand next to him, She offers the other fellow teens a small wave.

"H-hi, Everyone. I'm Johanna"

Emily nods along with Dr. Henningsen's words only half interested until his introduction.  Her eyes shoot up and she stares curiously for a moment before giving a small wave and at least an honest attempt at a welcoming smile even if it does feel a bit strained.  "Hey.  I'm Emily."

Tony's ears twitch when he hears that Jeremiah has been transferred. Other than that, he keeps his expression neutral until he hears that they are welcoming a new student. When Johanna walks in, Tony smiles and offers her a handshake.

"Hey, nice to meet you! Name's Tonauac, but I go by 'Tony.'"

Johanna looks rather troubled when Tony approaches her and offers to shake her hand. She seems to be more terrified of shaking his hand rather than anything else as She reaches her hand towards Tony's, but looks rather hesitant and looks at the people around the room for approval before grabbing the hand and giving the Coati-man a proper strong handshake.

"H-hey!" She seems to brighten up a little with the momentary awkwardness having passed, smiling brightly at Tony "Pleasure to meet you, Tony. All of you guys!"

Blake considers the news about Jeremiah, and gives a thoughtful sidelong glance at Angel, but doesn't comment.

Blake perks up hearing that there was to be a new student as well, but on seeing her reaction to Tony, he merely offers a short nod of acknowledgement, and "Blake" when she looks his way at the back of the room.

When Tony sees Johanna's reaction, he gives her a lopsided grin.

"I swear, I'm not a rat. I don't have mites, lice, or mange. Just be careful around the claws. They destroy clothes like nobody's business---mostly mine." He smirks jokingly at his last point.

"So, Johanna, where're you from in Finland, and what are you into?"

"No, no it wasn't about that!" Johanna gets flustered and shakes her head vehemently. She makes it sound like she had just offended Tony in a grievous manner"I'm sorry if I offended you, Tony."

She seems to relax as she also seems to realize she is overreacting about it and lets out a deflating sigh. She combs her hair back and offers another apology "Sorry."

"I'm from Wasa!" Johanna brightens "Though I spend a lot of time at Seinäjoki with my dad. I do a lot of shooting back at home. Hunting, biathlon and... Stuff like that." she shrugs with a smile.

"It's okay, I'm just messing around," Tony says with a laugh. "You didn't offend me at all. Just promise you won't hunt me." He winks after the last part to indicate that he is very much joking. He scratches his chin as he thinks about the two cities Johanna mentioned.

"Wasa? I don't know too much about it or Finland, but did you say Seinäjoki? Isn't that where Provinssirock is held?"

"Yeah, they are! I love them as well, especially when Tarja was still part of the band!" Johanna absolutely beams, giving away her rather sheepishness for passionate enthusiasm. "I also like Sentenced, Amorphis, Sonata Attica, Children of Bodom... S-sorry, I'm gushing now, aren't I?" She blushes, scratching back of her head in embarrassment.

Ángel listens to Dr. H. introduce the new student especially when he mentions she is from the military school. Silently he studies her and listens to the others introduce themselves. Once there is a short break in the conversation, he speaks up.

"Hi Johanna, I'm Ángel. To help bring you up to speed, I'm strong, very tough, and heavier than I look. I know everyone wants to know, but they're far too polite to ask, what kind of power do you have?"

"Oh!" Johanna reacts as if she had been reminded of something when Angel asks about her powers. "I make Ice." She answers plainly "It's pretty cool, I guess?" she shrugs like she does not consider her powers much of anything, instead throwing the ball to others with great enthusiasm "S-so what do you guys can do?!" She glances at everyone with eager curiosity.

"This!" Donato says before his face scrunches up in concentration and a duplicate appears, fading into existence from a vaguely blueberry-hued facsimile.

The duplicate, who begins his short life standing adjacent to the real Donato, ambles over to Johanna and extends his hand, "I am called Donato. It's nice to meet you."
