"So, looks like we're decided. We'll talk for the time being," he finishes. He sighs, and his face takes on a more serious expression.
"I think we all know something big is going on with this school. Hopefully, we got the main details from Prof. H and Dennis after that mess in the gym, but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to verify that. At the risk of sounding like something out of a terrible comic book or adventure movie, we all have special abilities and backgrounds. How should we go about checking things out?
"In my case, my senses of hearing and smell have gotten better---like, I should be able to give you a warning if someone or something is coming by. I'm also pretty good at sneaking into places I'm not supposed to, and I'm not bad with computers and investigating.
"What about you all?"

Not just running, but reading, typing- near as I can figure, the electricity in me has some weird interaction with my nerves." Keri runs her fingers through her hair. "I really hope this is just paranoia."

Emily shrugs and glances at Blake. "I guess you could always try and get a picture of what's going on from the staff maybe? I mean the ones that probably actually know anything probably aren't going to just crack but maybe if you just asked a few staff why they're here or something we could see if any common reasons pop up or if they seem to be lying. I don't know. Just an idea. It might be a bad one."

"First, what happened in that PE class. It's one thing to hold a 'sparring exercise,' but it's another to stand by and let people beat the hell out of each other without intervening. When we saw the stuff about the Dr. H, Prof. H, and Dennis, they seemed like people we could trust---people who were interested in helping make sure mutants have a place in society. I felt like that trust was betrayed back there when Dennis just stood by while Angel and Jeremiah were going at each other. We're not trained soldiers, we're teenagers who happen to have weird abilities.
"Second, well..." Tony continues with an apologetic shrug, "second is that I hate being kept in the dark. Like, with our powers and having them 'graded' for military purposes. I dunno about you, but I freaked out when I saw Tammy get slammed into the wall. I had no idea she could just, heal herself. If that had been anyone else...like, if it were me, I would've been dead. And, well...I'll admit, I was a kinda shaken up when Keri melted Emily. And when Daniel revealed his power. And when Tammy healed back up. But the biggest blow to me was when they told us that they rated us on our 'combat ability.'
"I dunno about you," he adds, with a small amount of anger creeping into his voice, "but hearing that after what just happened made me feel like I was being thought of as an animal---like an attack dog to be set on someone.
"I'm not an animal," he wraps up. He gestures at his face, his claws, and his now-drooping tail.
"This is just what I look like, but it's not who I am..."

The smart play was probably just to let them kick the crap out of each other until one finally calmed down and then deal with the fallout. Anyone outside Tammy or maybe me tries to interfere with that and they're pretty much a smear. Unless someone else is hiding crazy healing or invincibility up their sleeve."
She gives a soft shrug. "On the plus side they were actually pairing us up with people that could handle each other. Electro-Girl... uhh sorry about that. Keri gets paired up with someone that just feels kind of uncomfortable when they get blasted apart, the invincible tough guys get to hit each other and so on and so forth. I mean pairing up anger issues might not have been brilliant but they've got the same problem I kind of do. They actually use their powers for real and people are kind of maimed or dead so better to pair them off with each other I guess."
"Don't tell anyone I said that. I've got a reputation to keep." A small grin blossoms on her face.
Afterwards her face falls a bit and looks almost contemplative. "The other stuff though... The whole combat ability thing? Yeah it's pretty much expected but still definitely not a good sign. I'm just glad they apparently don't think I'm too big a threat."

Unless Dennis has powers himself, there wasn't shit he could do. Besides, I'd bet he lined those two up to see who'd step in. Like they said, they didn't have the extent of our abilities on lock. The fight forced Tammy, Dennis and myself to reveal stuff I don't think they knew about."
Blake frowns for a moment. "I just wish we hadn't been showing off so I coulda stopped it before Tammy got hurt."
In his quiet moment, another though occurs to him; "You know Emily,you may not like the Army's attention, but to be honest? Its the CIA I think you need to watch out for. Not to get all gruesome, but you'd make a stellar assassin." he says with a small nod of apology.

"We know basically everyone has a hand in this. The commercial and scientific interests are gonna get pretty much anything they'd need from the Doc's exams." He comments aside, mostly to himself; "Aaaand that's something I need to check with the Doc." Continuing, "The government gets to keep tabs on us more easily, since we're all in one spot." He pauses for a moment. "Huh, Hadn't thought about that. Anyway, and if the military really wanted us, why wouldn't we be on the base nearby? So if its not for the military, what is it for?"

You mentioned the CIA maybe wanting Emily, and the military sure as hell wants Angel, and I'm sure that there's a bunch of people who're going to be interested in Tammy once they find out what happened to her."
