Andre is waiting in his home, with his things packed. He's supposed to get picked up today, and taken to his new school.

It's about five minutes before his ride is supposed to arrive, and Andre hears a loud sound from outside, something not too different from the sound effects of a rocket from the movies, but clearly much smaller and a bit higher pitched. Then there is a knock on his door.

The young woman, close to his own age, waiting outside is dressed in a military style black outfit, complete with a hat and combat boots. She's got a warm and inviting smile, and the kind of hourglass shape you rarely see in real life without a significant amount of surgery.

The family was all home for this. After Tory skipped out, Andre's parents doubled-down on the family being a real unit. Andre didn't especially mind. It is nice having parents that supported and loved you, even if they do involve themselves a little too heavily for a teenager's tastes. There's a comfort to home, and the general ease to the weekends that Andre loves. Today though, there's an undercurrent of tension. Just like there has been for the past three weeks since the game. The game that ended with Andre burning a hole in the roof of the sports centre.

His gaze is pointed at the TV, trying to pay attention to the music videos playing on the screen, but his senses are elsewhere. So when he hears the rocket and then the knock on the door, he bursts to his feet, forcing a squeal of surprise from Denise. She's been jumpy ever since her brother showed mutant tendencies, and now is no different. Andre spares her an apologetic glance as he makes for the door, all-but flinging it open to see hot-military-girl standing in the doorway.

"Uh, hey." He begins, apparently forgetting any approach in regards to charm at the sight of her. "You're not - you here for me?"

"You must be Andre," the girl says, "I'm here to pick you up. Are you ready to go? It's a long flight, and if you're bringing a lot of stuff we'll have to stop and rest often."

She looks past him briefly, then looks at Andre expectantly.

"Yeah that's me." He nods in reply, managing to pick his jaw up off the floor as he gestures to the rather stuffed duffel bag and the travel case sitting next to the door. ""Just this stuff-wait." He pauses. "How did you get here?" He asks, barrelling onward. "Let me guess. Invisible plane?"
