聲gel shrugs and puts his hands up. As the device begins pressing down he resists it. He will use his full strength if needed.
Edit: Using Extra Effort, 聲gel has a Lifting Strength of 9 allowing him to lift 12 tons. I assume just supporting it would be a bit higher.

"Great. Great!"
The rest of the examinations are pretty routine. Checking your resting heart rate, then running on a treadmill for five minutes. He takes a blood sample and thanks you again before sending you on your way.

When the device gives up before really stressing him, 聲gel sighs. Bored, he goes through the paces as Dr. H examines him.
OOC Did Dr. H use a special needle of some kind to take 聲gel's blood? His power should prevent a normal needle piercing his skin. This was brought up earlier in conversations and descriptions of his power.

GM, 51 posts Academy Administrator Guardian of Teenagers Tue 16 Aug 2016 at 20:11 | Re: In the Hallway: IC chat with NPCsAngel expresses doubts about drawing his blood, but Dr. H is apparently prepared for this. He takes an odd pistol-shaped device, bright white, and presses it against Angel's skin. A small glass vial fills up with blood. Then Dr. H wipes the area with alcohol and smiles at him. "Free to go."

"What the heck kind of needle does that use?" he asks. "I've had knives and nails bend or break rather than pierce my skin."

Student, 116 posts Tue 16 Aug 2016 at 23:22 | Re: In the Hallway: IC chat with NPCs"It probably uses vacuum pressure," Tammy conjectures, "It didn't pierce your skin at all, but your skin is still permeable, so it just sucked the blood, which has to remain a liquid or you would die, right through it. You didn't feel it because it couldn't damage your skin, just like that knife. If he used that thing on me it would leave a giant welt for days."
Almost as an afterthought she quickly adds, "We know this would work because we can use the opposite pressure to inject certain drugs."

"Okay, good to know..." he says. "My power is weirder than I thought. I'll be in my room for a while if anyone needs me."
With that, 聲gel grabs his clothes and heads back to his room.

When Professor H tells him that he will always be a mutant, Tony slumps down. His ears go flat against his head, and his mouth twists to one side. The tip of his tail, on the other hand, flicks back and forth.
Tony offers his arm to Professor H so that she can draw his blood. He watches as she sticks the needle in and begins taking a sample.
"I think my powers are pretty well-controlled," he says, "or at least they aren't dangerous, like setting things on fire or giving off radiation---believe me, I checked. What I'm more worried about is further changes. I mean, is this just an intermediate state? Am I devolving into an animal? Will it take away who I am---I mean, who I am up here?" He taps the side of his head with a claw on his free hand.
"Frankly, the physical changes are frustrating, but I can live with them. If it takes away my mind, well...that's something I can't handle..."

Tamera's tests go smoothly enough, although she lacks any particular physical traits that indicate her body is abnormal in any way. Once they are finished, she asks the tall man, "Mr. Henningsen? Does that culinary class Ms. Schutz mentioned allow the students who take it to use the kitchen?"

Let me go get your PE uniform for you, and then we'll have you run on this treadmill for a bit and take some measurements," Dr. H says, disappearing down the hall for a brief period before he returns with the same plastic wrapped uniform that 聲gel and Tammy had changed into earlier.
"Here you go! We even accounted for your tail on this one. The restroom is right over there, so you can get changed."

He takes the clothes and enters the bathroom to change. When he slips his shorts on, he's surprised at how well Dr. H's team had accounted for his tail. It manages to slip right into the hole without catching or being uncomfortably squeezed. Once he's finished, Tony walks back out and gets on the treadmill.
"I'm impressed," he says to Dr. H as he starts jogging, "I've struggled for weeks to get my clothes to fit right, and you guys nailed it on the first try. I dunno if you know someone who could take a look at my shorts, do you?"
