"I haven't been issued my student ID yet. Since I grew up in a religious community on par with the Amish I don't have a state ID or license. I'm from Dr. Hennigsen's school if that helps." David was relieved that he wouldn't be beaten. Now he was ashamed that he might be arrested.

The Sheriff grumbles under his breath before he goes and opens the door to the back seat of his car before returning to David and taking hold of him by the arm as he says, "Have a seat in here. I'm going to go talk to everyone else for a minute."

The Sheriff closes the door, then goes inside. David can plainly see him through the windows as he takes a turn talking to the waitress and the group of boys before he comes back out and opens the door again.

"Come on boy, we're going inside for just a minute. Where's your wallet?"

The Sheriff brings David up to said register and then reaches into his back left pocket and extracts David's wallet. Holding it where David and the waitress can clearly see it he opens it up and asks David, "How're you paying, boy?"

The cute waitress opens up the bag, extracts one of the food containers, and opens it to show David the contents: steaming hot chili over a bed of fries.

"They're not carne asada fries, but this is the closest thing. Will this work for you?" she says with a small smile.

David fixes the boy that spoke with a stare.
"Tell me, do you persecute others for their beliefs? Because they are different and are showing an abundance of caution? If you believe that is praiseworthy to do then I pity you."
he then turns to the others.
"I am asking you politely to let this be solved by the law enforcement professional here.
Save your jeers."

David begins to mentally recite the Jedi Code in an attempt to stay calm and he begins to doubt the the Sheriff's deputy is who he is.

Summary: David is arrested after this for the destruction of property and causing a public disturbance. Doctor Henningsen drives out much later in the evening to collect him.
