at 16:05 | August, 2015: The town of San HaresDennis is agreeable company as he drives you into town. He talks a lot about his various jobs throughout the years. In high school he was a welder's assistant, and worked on parade floats. During college, he was a security guard; one of his posts was a zoo for exotic animals in Florida.
San Hares is not what you'd call a bustling metropolis. It's surrounded by rolling, rocky hills. The road leading to town winds a lot. The high street is only a few blocks long. There are a few stores, a restaurant or two, a few services, and that's about it.
The rest of the town is composed of a broad range of housing. One district holds single and semi-detached homes. Then there is a block of apartments. On the far side of that is a brightly-painted but cheap-looking building that could be tenement apartments.
You pass a high school, currently empty, with a sign on the front welcoming people back to school.
Dennis drops you off and tells you that he has his phone if you need anything.

With that, Dennis is off. He has dropped you off in front of the diner.
Inside, you see a half-dozen young people. Five of them are clustered around a pair of tables, laughing and joking. They keep calling out to the waitress, another teenager, who they seem to know.

He doesn't want to seem impatient, but he'd rather get things done as quickly as possible seeing as he is devoid of friends right now.

"Oh, hi!" she exclaims. "I don't recognize you. Are you new in town?"
The waitress is probably about sixteen, with dark blonde hair and green eyes. Her yellow sundress would be silly on anyone else, but her warm expression makes it hard to form any negative opinion. Her hair is bound with an amber headband with a butterfly accessory.
The other teens turn to look at you as you enter. Most of them have neutral expressions, but one boy glares at you seethingly.

The waitress looks flustered. "So, like, an order of chili on an order of fries? I guess we can do that." She blushes and walks off.
The one giving you the hairy eyeball scoffs. "So, what, kid. Regular fries ain't good enough for you? Special, kid?"

One of them, a tall and lanky fellow replies, "Nah, we just want to be friends with the new guy."
Another, the shortest and fattest one chuckles and says, "Yeah, good friends."

"Then as friends, why don't we sit down and chat?" David said evenly as he kept reciting the Jedi Code in his mind. He could seriously harm someone by accident with his strength; they weren't glass bottles.
