OOC: Character Creation

Below you will find the list of guidelines/rules to be used when creating your character:

1. Starting Level - All characters will start at level 10.

2. No 3rd Party Materials Allowed

3. Playable Races Allowed - All core races are allowed. Additionally, you may also choose to play one of the following races: Bakeneko (Catfolk), Dhampir, Goblin, Hobgoblin, Orc, Nezumi (Ratfolk), Tengu, Kistune, Nagaji, Samsaran, Vanara, Vishkanya and Skinwalker.

4. Playable Classes Allowed - All core classes are allowed. All base classes are allowed, with the exception of the Vigilante. Alternate classes (antipaladin, ninja, samurai) are also allowed. No Occult or Hybrid classes. Prestige classes *may* be allowed on a case by case basis, given that you meet the necessary prerequisites. Archetypes are allowed, but none from 3rd party material, and you can only select a single Archetype.

5. Starting Ability Scores & HP - All characters will be created using the 25 point buy system. Hit Points will be max for each level.

6. Traits - Every character will start with 2 traits, which cannot come from the same list (i.e. combat, magic, etc). Campaign traits are not allowed, and regional traits will be considered on a case by case basis. Additionally, a character may select a third trait if they also take a drawback.

7. Starting Gold, Items & Crafting - All characters will start with 62,000 GP available to them. No crafting prior to the game starting, so that means you pay full price for everything you buy. You may opt to save some of your starting gold for crafting things later, but keep in mind that it will take time to do so and the items will not be readily available to you when the game starts. You may not spend more than 20,000 GP on a single magic item.

8. Background Skills - We will be using them, so if you are not familiar with what this means, please check on the SRD.

9. Alignment - Any alignments are allowed. However, keep in mind that if you create a character that doesn't mesh well with the rest of the party, I may ask you to reconsider your choice of alignment.

10. Background - As stated on the RTJ thread, please make sure you come up with an appropriate background for your character, and give as much detail as you can.

11. Character Sheet - I'm actually a big fan of www.myth-weavers.com, so you are free to use that site for your character sheet. Otherwise, you can use the following format for your sheet:
