After taking time to regroup and plan, our quartet of heroes head back down via the elevator.

The walls turn from bare grey stone to polished black malachite as the elevator creaks and groans. After a minute-long descent down the dark shaft, the wooden floor shudders as it comes to rest, and the chains stop rattling. Above, the shaft rises into darkness.

Everyone give me a perception check please

Crouched close to the ground, Filimena peers down the corridor, her hand raised, poised for an attack if one should come.

Omaron stands ready, slightly bored from the long trip down the lift. The defensive blessing of the Earthmother rests over the dwarf's figure, protecting anyone within a few paces, as well. As the lift comes to a halt, Omaron's shield snaps into position, axe at the ready as his eyes peer into the murky hall. Unfortunately, a sharp bit of detritus drifts into his eye, obscuring even his allies at arm's reach.

Raszire kept his own council letting the others decide the next course of action. He approved of their final decision, he only wished wished they had more time. With out access to any spells he would have to rely on his combat skills for now. As the lift lowered to the cavern floor Raszire readied himself for what may be waiting.

As they descend Marik keep a look around, but can't keep himself from thinking about ways to engage their foes. Rani sniffs the air around, staying attentive when her master does not.


OOC: Marik rolled 11 for perception and Rani 22 (smell).

The big cat lets out a low rumbling growl as the elevator stops at the bottom.

Marik recognizes this as a sign of danger.

Hearing the big cat's growl, Filimena sends a telepathic message the elf's way, What's happening? Is she smelling something? Then, after a moment, The elevator has probably created enough noise they know somebody has come down. I can create the image of a goblin ahead of us. If there's anyone there, they should react. Shake your head if you disagree violently. She repeats this as quickly as she can to the others.

OOC: Just wanted to see if Filimena might also interpret Rani's grow appropriately. I suppose it's kind'a obvious, and wouldn't change anything since Filimena is adopting a defensive posture anyway.

Not knowing quite what to do on such a small platform and not knowing really what Filimena intend to do with a goblin illusion, Marik nock a arrow and prepare for a fight.

Casting Minor Illusion, Filimena conjures the image of goblin, as like as possible to the ones the party had fought only a while ago, and caused the image to tiptoe silently away from the elevator and around the corner before coming to a halt.
