A moment later, Avi slips through the still open door, "Sorry had to get a few things and this one got out the door before I was done." the water genasi says. Avi is dressed in a similar outfit to Embric only with blue with gold trim. In his hand is a platter with what appear to be stuffed dates. "There are a specialty of Rezma, where I am from  and always a hit at things like this."

Rani takes a few sniffs as the large cooked venison enters the room and licks her teeth before the tantalizing meal. Marik himself can't help but feel his stomach gurgling at the sight. Rations and tavern meals are great but they certainly don't compare to what is been presented.


"Oh...Moien!...Embric. This is..." Marik can't seem to find the words "This is a lot...How...How manage that...such short time?" Marik begins to fear the genasi either really undercooked the meat or overcooked it with intensity (they are made of fire, so anything goes at this point). And before the answer come "Oh...Moien Avi...!" as the water genasi enters the room as well and makes their introduction.

Marik takes a intrigued look at the bowl of stuffed dates. He's pretty sure he never heard of Rezma or these, he approach to take one.

"Th...Thanks...These seems good. I...I left some things on platters on...tables...too. bread..mushroom...cheese. Spiced samars." . As he heard himself saying that, he feels he could have used better words to describe his work.

A tall man knocks on the open door. "Hello? I was told we have new neighbors." He's dressed in the latest of Titan's Gate fashion, a dark green well fitting tunic with gold and red trim, matching breaches, and high leather boots. His cloak is a warm red with green and gold trim mirroring the rest of his clothing. Long black hair and beard frame his face well, showing off the angular nature of his features. He is holding a thin pipe in one hand and a bottle of some sort of clear liquid in the other. He nods Avi and Embric

"I'm Vincent Trench, I run the Tiger's Eye just a few buildings over."

Filimena licks her lips, hardly believing the feast before her. She circles the food, struggling to make up her mind. Their latest guest, however, catches her eye, and she walks over to greet him. "Hello, Vincent. Filimena, at your service. And what might you do at the Tiger's Eye?"

Vincent smiles, "I'm a private detective, I uncover secrets and find the missing - friends, loved ones, items of sentimental value, and the like." He extends his hand and offers the bottle he brought to Filimena, "This is pixie brandy - don't let the lack of color fool you, it packs quite a punch."

Filimena's ears prick when she hears Vincent's response. She'll have to speak to him a bit more later, although he will probably charge, and Filimena doesn't have a lot to her name at the moment. "Aha!" she exclaims, and reaches out to receive the bottle. "There hasn't been a drink that - HICK!" Filimena freezes, her eyes widening as she glares at Vincent as if to say, you didn't just hear that hiccough. "Come, help yourself to some food while I get some glasses," she says finally, after a few awkward seconds.

Marik is about to welcome the newcome, before seeing Filimena already talking to them. No wanting to interrupt a conversation, Marik goes to pass somes plates of appetizers. He passes some to Embric and Avi.

"Seem...you have...travel much...judging by cuisine" he starts saying to Embric and Avi "How did you came to...live here?" he ask, meaning Titan's Gate.

The man grins slightly and with a wink says, "Your secret is safe with me." Vincent walks over to where the food is set up leaving Filimena with the bottle of clear liquid.

Embric takes one of the appetizer butwait to eat it, "Well we were looking for more opportunity really. Zir isn't exactly the best place for non-dragonborn and not a wizard types. They really don't like it when you can compete with their Zirathnian steel." He smiles proudly, his eyes shifting to Raszire for a brief moment before looking back to Marik, "So here we are owning a business, voting, and living as we please."

Marik nods, impressed and tries to make Embric talk some more as he studies them "Not...recommended non-dragonborn? Shame...wanted to visit...one day. How long...been in Titan's Gate? ". There wasn't one hint of hesitation and that smile genuinely looked proud. Seems they could really be the blacksmith they pretend to be. Good to know.


OOC: Being a suspicious one, Marik did a Insight check to see if Embric is just bluffing about competing with Zirathian steel and rolled a 5.

Avi waves his hand as though to dismiss Marik's comment, "We were just a lower class than even the most mundane dragonborn and beneath the wizards. We've been in Titan's Gate now almost 6 years now and find it much more inviting to those who aren't human. The water genasi take a sip of the tankard he'd picked up, "I do say visit, but can't recommend being there longer than you have to be."

From behind Marik comes a music voice which he recognizes instantly as Fala, "Now now, no need to dredge up those old wound. We are here to celebrate the revitalization of this tavern and these find folks who've come into the alley."

Fala stands at the door dressed in a flowing robes of white and forest green - the colors of the White Iris Court - with a crown made of fresh irises around their head. [Language unknown: "K wit ureoerioueve laha Niekes, plmi hi to ear ion ecponi M lo. Wersetkor acta'hech nc ith sianee."]

"I brought a sampling of the local foods." They have a platter of various vegetables - some appear roasted while others are raw. The locals all smile at Fala's food stuffs as though they are well aware of how good they are.

To his frustration, Marik can't help but feels his heart beat faster as he hears the familiar chime of that voice. The heart then stops and skips a beat as he see the flowing robes.
Thankfully, Fala start talking before him, giving just enough time to collect his thoughts and regain some composure. Why can't he think when they are around? He isn't supposed to be like this.

"That's Vincent Trench, he's a personal detective who runs the Tiger's Eye." Fala says glancing towards the person Marik makes mention of. "Nice fellow, though he usually keeps to himself mostly but does come out to functions like this one."

A young man with red hair knocks on the open door frame. He's dressed in a fine silk tunic and matching coat - both appear black until the light hits them revealing them to be a deep emerald green. His breeches are black and unadorned but finely made as are his boots. He wears an elegant rapier on his hip.  The group recognizes Renaer, the man they found in the Hawks Hideout.

"I was told there was a celebration and had to bring some cheer!" In his hands is a small box which he slips under one arm.

Standing behind Renaer is a man who is all but his twin - Floon Blagmaar. Though he is a little less put together than Renaer it is obvious that he done his best to look good for the occasion - he's dressed in well constructed light green tunic and leather breeches. Floon has a big silly smile on his face, "I couldn't miss celebrating the Finders of Jzadirune who saved my life!"

Marik smiles "Moien Floon...You look...much better than...when we found you" (oof, he really has to work on his manners). He turns to both "Ah...Jzadirune...The state of...this manor...did remind me...of it...wonder what become of Jzadirune now...Oh! If...would like anything...drink...eat...You...can ask me, Rani or Lif here" he says, pointing to a empty space behind the bar. "Have you...already come to Snake Skull Manor?"

Filimena narrows her eyes as she watches the private detective turn and walk away. Then, glancing down at the bottle in her hand, she shrugs and walks over to the bar, where she prepares to pour herself a sample. It is at that moment, however, that she observes two nearly identical-looking men step through the door. Pausing for only the briefest moment, she whips out a second glass, pours a generous serving of Vincent's drink into both, takes a good sniff, makes a note she has to come back for some herself later, and strides over to the two men, and thrusts the glasses into each of their hands. "Floon! Raenar! Have a drink!"

In reply to Marik (msg # 364):

Renaer shakes his head, "Never been there before. We ran into Disanz while he was getting supplies for this shindig, and we had to come and celebrate with you.   He offers the box he had put under one arm, "Here a gift for you and your friends, would be best to open it later I think."

Renaer sets a small envelope atop the box. The box is small - about the size of a large book - and masterfully crafted out of a dark wood with golden hardware including a lock.

As the pixie brandy is poured it changes color from clear to a warm amber. Floon smiles and take both glasses, "Thank you Filimena! I got you and the others something." He reaches into his tunic and pulls out a small book - some  6" x 9" x 3" (15.24 x 22.86 x 7.62 cm)

The title reads [Language unknown: Ain Cetrut ll Iv Ithdinkor & Llacomec Whaiiv]. "The bookstore owner said this would be of interest."

Filimena chuckles. "Well, I wasn't expecting any-" She pauses abruptly, reading the book's title. "The bookstore owner... you mean..." There is a bookstore in the alley, she remembers, which Marik paid a visit to before. How can this bookstore owner possibly know, though? This evening is getting queerer and queerer. She definitely needs some of that pixie brandy.

OOC: I know his name is Rishaal. I just don't think Filimena would remember, since it was mentioned rather earlier on, and she would have been occupied examining the mansion for the first time.

Marik looks curiously at Filimena and the book.

"Wh...What even it...that langage? Never...seen something...like this." Marik turns to Floon "Book...do your mean...Rishaal? Just met him...few hours back...never mentionned...this book." Mrik eyes narrow, suspiciously.

Filimena momentarily hesitates. Should she tell Marik? But of course she should. Why shouldn't she? She frowns slightly, annoyed at herself for even having the thought. "It's in Celestial," she replies. "The Finding of Lost People & Forgotten Places."

She turns back to Floon. "Thank you. Did he - er - say anything else? About why he thought I might be interested in this book?" She raises and eyebrow and smirks slightly, trying to show she appreciates the gift, however puzzling it might be.

Floon shakes his head, "No no, I got it from a fellow over in the Arcanist's Ward, off Brightcoin Lane. I was over there seeing friends, and we popped into this tickers shop. I was going to get you a mechanized bird, but he suggested this book would make a better gift for the Finders of Jzadirune."
