Vargh is progressing, character creation wise.  With the recommended skills you spoke of, I had to rethink class features and possible equipment.  I think that since we are not being addressed in character, we are waiting for our plot hooks so to speak.  Speed is fine, we just need to feel interacted with.  I think only two of us have our assignments at the moment, though I could be wrong.

Everyone in the party, everyone, has the same assignment. The story isn't progressing, because I'm not being told what players want to do. I'm not being asked questions. So I don't know what direction to take you guys.

Maybe it would help if you restricted the choices a little and gave concrete choices.

I had hoped that providing the more open environment of the war camp would let each players express their interests a bit more. Maybe not, though. When you are on the move, you will be confronted with much clearer choices.

That works around a table, but in play by post, I think that there isn't enough quick interaction to make this work. Every time someone intereacts with something we lose a day or two, so most people will be tentative I think

It's not what I had hoped would happen. I had hoped people would be more interactive than this. In my experience, people trip over one another to add their 5 cents to a thread and it's hard for the GM to keep up.

If Basung is a monk (or a brawler) then he can attack twice in 1 round with a fullround action.

Strikes are useless against swarms so I used a special ability that does not let me furry of blow.

It's not actually a swarm, but it's just a lot of small creatures that are pouring out of the silo all at once. He used the custom feat "Fly Catcher" which allows him to treat a melee strike as having the Grab ability as long as it's his own attack and as long as the opponent is a small, flying creature.

I'm sorry guys, I've been very pre-occupied with organizing a birthday celebration dinner tomorrow. I won't be able to post for at least another day.

Now the DM is making me want to play an Ogre Mage Graven One (With sickles attatched to chains for flavor!).  WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME!

Haha yeah Great NPC

On another note Lynette, if you are going to screw over the party at least do it with something we can counter act. That non saveable stuff is down right BS

Well in that case you REALLY not going to like this. Everyone within 10ft of Lynette takes a -2 penalty on all save rolls in addition to the -1 penalty to fear (so basically everyone close to Lynette have to make the Will save DC 18 fear roll at with a -3 penalty on their roll).

And this is why I keep telling everyone to back-the-hell-OFF! She doesn't use magic but all that power she's using has to come from somewhere. And in her case she syphon's...I guess you could call it "fate" or "positive karma" if you will, from the area around her (friends and foes alike).

BTW I think we need an OOC thread.

Alright, so, since we've been doing this for a while, I think that I have the tone that I want to set, down a little bit better. You guys are scouts, you work for the military. You're not evil-evil, but you're not neccesarily good either. I think that there are party members who are more good than others, but you're in a warzone right now, where not a lot of things are nice.

What I want to make of this game is not a zombie apocalypse game, though. I don't want to make this the Walking Dead: Pathfinder edition. We're dealing with a lot of undead right now, but that will eventually change. My point is, that, while you'd expect a game about people fighting the Scourge would be bleak, it's still got bleak imagery, but intermixed with shenanigans.

You guys will learn soon enough. But compare it with the Suicide Squad, if you'd like (apart from the, doing it against their will part). They're doing what needs to be done, but they're gonna have fun doing it. Is everyone agreed with that?

Btw, because there are contradicting posts. Did a small creature appear in Lorin's hands out of the blue, or is it the creature in Basung's hands?

The creature is the one that Basung gave Lorin and Lynette to investigate. It's on your hands, Lorin.

If people don't respond, others don't respond. Vargh just said that he could do what you asked, Lynette, and you haven't responded to him.

Basung is on holiday. Gugat has little to add, despite you talking about what to do with him. He's literally and figuratively cowed.

Alright. I think that we've finally arrived at the point where activity is so low that I can't justify it's existence any longer. There's just no chemistry and I don't want anyone to feel bad about that.

I'm going to reset this campaign at some point. Maybe in a week or so.
