We meet over Coffee...

He blinks at that listening to her Title and says

"I'm Roger I'm a baker, in training, Hey Im a boggan doing household work is part of what my kith is" seems a little embarassed of his lack of noble titles or such.

"Not often you meet an open member of house Ailil hanging out at a coffee shop like this I know that much"

She can tell that hes mostly seelie, honest hard working, but that he has a degree of outrage in him she could channel to her ends, if she doesnt overplay her hand.

Re: We meet over Coffee...

Ygraine can't help but note how her introduction affects the boggan and she smiles wryly at him as he gets bashful. "Roger, happy to meet you. I always like the company of people true to themselves and their passions," she says in an amiable tone. She cants her head to the side and looks deeply into his eyes as she asks, "that is why you're training as a baker, no? Its not just you doing your duty to your kith."

Ygraine sipped from her coffee to give him time to answer the question she posed. As he talks of her House she nibbles at her biscotti. She waves away his words and chuckles musically as she replies, "Long ago I decided neither to hide who I am nor apologize for it. Yes, life would be easier by far if I kept my house allegiance a  secret, but that sort of laziness is beneath us all, no?" She asks earnestly, feeling the truth is her best tool to use in this situation.

Re: We meet over Coffee...

"It would be my passion if I was allowed to bake, I'm an apprentice, and an oft under appreciated one, I'm not beaten or starved or anything like that" sighs

"But I do think im often assigned tasks Better handle by a Enchanted mortal" he says with a bit of bitterness, but not QUITE enough to turn him against the seelie court,Still enough she might be able to use carefully.

Hearing her words he nods

"Forthrightness" Smiles tightly "Thats not something I see in a sidhe that often, you dont mind me saying so I hope"

Re: We meet over Coffee...

"See, to me, standing in the way of another's pursuit of their dreams is truly criminal, Roger, I feel for you deeply," Ygraine says in a firm but gentle tone as she leans in a bit so that it's clear her words are meant as something for him to hear and pay attention to. "Too often have I seen untitled kithain given busy work as a means of control..." she says with a touch of something forlorn in her voice. "Yes, I understand that mastery of any pursuit requires diligent training and thoughtful application of the learner, but your baking master could be cultivating your talent rather then what? Putting you through the paces his master did him?" She asks with a touch of a frown on her lips.

Ygraine then sighs and waves away her words. "Listen to me, though I've a title, I've naught much more to my name, Roger. Thank you for your kind words, if nothing else, I'll always have the kind of honor that MEANS something, seeing as people know me for all my strengths and foibles. Which is the sort of thing no one can take away." Which is her way of thanking him for his compliment which does much to lighten her mood.

Sitting back in her chair she sips her coffee again before saying, "Would that I had the means to support a proper household, but that's not yet to be. I do have an idea though... one I fear you'll laugh at... but at the same time, you're the perfect person to bring it to... wlll you indulge me listening to my madcap notion with a kind ear?" she asks, playfully putting on a wheedling and coquettish air as she 'begs' for his kind attention.

Ygraine:

He nods glad for some sympathy

"The line between "the duties expected of an apprentice, and blatant hazing, can be hard to see sometimes"
He pauses and nods. "I will gladly do so my lady, but are you sure you want to, Boggans find it difficult to keep things to themselves"

Just then a young pooka is coming back into the coffee shop  looking around and being seated, she looks like shes familiar with the surroundings

"Ah she returns" Roger comments.

Elizibeth: "Next week We'll all be meeting, but if you wish Im sure the baron would be more then willing to see you immediately"

Re: We meet over Coffee...

Ygraine chuckles and nods as the Boggan speaks of thin lines. "So true, I chose to figure that if it didn't kill me it  kept me from getting into trouble... sometimes..." she says while smiling a quirky, lopsided smile that hints at adventures best shared with harder drinks in hand then coffee. "That smile turns into something knowing and trusting as she goes on to say, "It's not a secret, secret, and it's an idea bigger then myself that'll require support, or that I abandon it... so either way, your reaction, Roger, will go a long way to determining which it is."

Ygraine shifts her seat, moving into more of a friendly conversational distance, inadvertently brushing her knee along Roger's thigh. "See, I'm inspired by the Old Ways and how we have always been people of two natures... I'd like to create a space that by day serves those who support while at night supports the pursuit of joy," she explains in broad strokes to see if he understands the foundation of her notion. "Like so many, I love going out and dancing in the dark, mixing music with high spirits and the promise of the Dark, but I've always thought a club space was 'wasted' during the day. So, what if a club could become something like a soup kitchen by day, giving something back to those who have little, while at night the space caters to those with a desire for diversion and adventure.... could there be merit in such a place in your eyes, Roger or is it madness?"

Ygraine waits expectantly for Roger's answer, unconsciously shifitng forward in her seat and moving closer to him to better hear his answer. She looks at the Pookah he points out and hmmms as she casts an assessing gaze over her. "She's not a regular here then," she quips, playfully aping most Pookah speech.

Re: We meet over Coffee...

"And I like the idea of creating a business around helping people, and helping people cut loose and have fun. I doubt there'd be a boring day, or night in such a place," Ygraine said with the sort of bubbly enthusiasm that only comes out when sharing something precious with someone you trust. Her happiness at hearing his approval for her idea is etched into her face and she reaches out to give his hand a little squeeze. "Thanks, Roger, it helps to hear that maybe I'm not alone in my desire to do well by doing good," she says gratefully.

Then the gorgeous, Sidhe Baroness sits back in her chair and takes another drink of her now lukewarm coffee. She screws up her face a bit, clearly missing it's lost heat. She sets the cup aside and then says, "If you don't mind, I'd love to keep bouncing this idea around with you, Roger. I'm no where near ready for a grand opening or anything, but I'd love to pick your brain for what neighborhoods are worth looking at for this and whose permission I'll need to ask amongst the 'nobles'..." Some of her enthusiasm drains when she acknowledges she'll need to kowtow to the local powers that be if this is going to get off the ground. Apparently that is something she doesn't relish.

"I understand its a hard thing, if I may say if you crave the company of fellow unseelie, Annabelle"? points at the pooka "May  welcome your company, shes the most bitter and hateful of unseelie, a former Seelie whos been disillusioned... you'll have to ask her if you want the whole story"

he pauses "Back to my baking master , is it selfish or spoiled of me to want enchanted humans to do the drudge work?"

Ygraine smiles and waves goodbye to the baker and sayss, "only if you don't help them make the cake of their dreams." Then she leaves her seat and goes over to the Pookah and greets her asking, "mind the company of a newcomer?" As she speaks she smiles warmly, patiently waiting for the pookah to respond.

She looks slightly confused and says "I would indeed mind company, Im not the least bit bewildered by seeing two new Sidhe in one day, this is nothing at all worthy of note, naturally" sighs pulling up a chair. "I overheard nothing of the name "ailil" earlier, if I did, I would shiver in terror" feigns mock trembling "at the thought of a danger to my righteous seelie masters, who've been so very generous to me, so very kind, so kind they Killed my mentor with Cold Iron. Who could be kinder that?"

Re: We meet over Coffee...

Ygraine smirked knowingly and took the seat offered her by the backwards speaking Pookah. "Our 'betters' have never had qualms about driving a point home deeply, and they're no strangers to the fact the lessons written in iron and blood are never forgotten," she says in a voice tinged by a world weary ennui. The she cracks a smile and asks, "some conversations are best had with drinks stiffer then coffee. Shall we quit this place and find one that better fits the spirit of our conversation?" A moment later she realizes she's been a bit rude and introduces herself properly, "oh, I'm Ygraine, Baroness of house Ailil. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Had my Togail 4 years back in fact, I will complain about this, while they were generous with my mentor, the duke was stingy with me and my togail Boon, He only arrange for tutoring of 3 or 4 Arts, and gave me quite a bit of dross" shakes her head.

"Maybe this lords a really rotten fellow, you know? But I still love the nobility in general."

nods

"on the contrary I prefer it here" getting up ready to go with Ygraine, gladly enough.

He takes her with him to a freehold It looks like a moderately worn out house in the mundane world, chimerically, its a stately manor Hall, not a Palace for a king but the respectable manor house of a local noble, if perhaps a little beautified by glamour, rather then a focus on historical accuracy.

"It's good that he at least acknowledged it, not that that makes up for anything that's happened since then," Ygraine said with a rueful sigh, nodding when the Pooka spoke of her feelings about the nobility. "Love lost is hard to find again. Then again, the current ruling class has lost so much... including it's way to the path of righteousness and responsibility," she mused darkly. Then she sighed and smiled as she headed for the door. She held it open for her new friend then said, "I'm counting on you to lead us somewhere we can let our hair down and have a good time." She spoke playfully to the Pooka, perhaps trying her hand at pooka-ese?

"My ride's around the corner. I'm sure Peggy will have no trouble carrying us both," Ygraine said to Annabelle as she nodded when the Pooka told her some of what lurked in the dark around here. "I put myself in your hands, just lead the way. Good or ill, there'll be a story to tell after our adventure. When approached by the Nocker child she grinned down at him and said, "why thank you, what a great compliment. I'm always happy to play muse to an artist." Her tone is warm and friendly, respectful and kind. "I'm Ygraine of House Ailil, who might you be?" She asked, giggling a little as the squirrel pooka rolls her eyes.
